Yes! by Amanda Hartmann

Hi SC fans!

Playing with pretty patterned papers today! Yes!

Scrapping clearly has you covered for a HUGE range of patterned papers.... Here is what I used on my page:

Vicki Boutin: Color Study - 12″X12″ – Inspired  and Vicki Boutin: Color Study -12″X12″ – Spheres from this AMAZING range: VB: Color Study

Bella Blvd – Illustrated Faith – Bright and Brave – 12 x 12 – Count the Ways with so many more bright papers: Bright & Brave

Then I finished with all the things..... Check out the photos for more details...

I love the Inspired paper - the black background is such a perfect piece of paper to start a page!

For this page I had another old chipboard circle I dug out of my stash. I gesso'd it white and then painted it with Dina Wakley Media – Gloss Sprays – Fuchsia. This circle created the centre of my layout.

I tore a circle of  Count the Ways paper and layered this behind the circle.

Layered and added in the clusters:
Dina Wakley Media Chipboard Shapes – Sprigs (for the white chipboard stems/leaves)
* muslin, enamel dots, BLAH button, flowers and bow from my stash

And like all good pages - we need to finish with some splatters! I used: Dina Wakley Media – Gloss Sprays – White

A fun, bright, blah blah blah layout - kinda perfect for a photo of me!

Thanks for looking,
Amanda

Good Fun by Belinda Spencer

 Hi Scrapping Clearly fans!

It's Belinda here today to share my layout inspired by the December Mood Board using lots of goodies from the Scrapping Clearly store.

For this layout, I started by mounting a cropped sheet of heavy weight Marshmallow cardstock on black cardstock. I used some Prima Vintage Gold Icing Paste with a Heidi Swapp stencil to add some dots to my background.

Once the paste was dry, I spritzed on a Lindy's Stamp Gang spray. I let the colour drip down the page and also added some splats.

Next I layered some papers together. I used all Heidi Swapp papers as well as tags and a photo frame all by Heidi.

I attached a cute gold Heidi Swapp Photo Corner to my photo and added that too.

I added a Charm's Creations arrow with a bit of gold on it.

I used some Vicki Boutin Thickers quotes, title and little embellishments.

Here's what I used:
HEIDI SWAPP:
-Photo Frames
- Photo Corners
- Magnolia Jane Gold Leaf Tags

VICKI BOUTIN:

PRIMA Icing Paste Vintage Gold

LINDY'S STAMP GANG Starburst Spray Opal Sea Oats

Black cardstock

Memories Made At The Beach with Belinda Spencer

 Hello!!

It's Belinda here with you today to share a layout I created for Scrapping Clearly inspired by the November Mood Board and featuring some cool products from the shop.

Here's a peek at the mood board:

I started my layout by grabbing the gorgeous background patterned paper from the VICKI BOUTIN Colour Study 12 x 12 Paper Pad. I love the ombre paint swipes across this paper. It really required very little in the way of mixed media. I did add a little however using the KAISERCRAFT Bubbles 12 x 12 Stencil with Snow White COLOUR BLAST Colour Paste.

Once the Colour Paste was completely dry, I propped my page up and spritzed on some Turquoise DINA WAKLEY MEDIA Gloss Spray and let it run down the page. I flicked some of it over the page too. Once that was dry, I flicked some White DWM Gloss Spray over the page too.(TIP: Place an art journal or some cardstock underneath to catch all of the drips. You can then spread it around and create an instant background and not waste any product!!)

Here is the completed layout:

I created a stack of co-ordinating patterned papers using the VICKI BOUTIN Colour Study 6x8 Paper Pad as well as a HEIDI SWAPP 6x8 Paper Pad. I tore the pieces at the bottom and ruffled up the torn edges to create a surf like look.

I fussy cut a couple of hearts from VICKI BOUTIN patterned paper. I stamped two sweet branches on patterned paper using the STUDIO LIGHT Marlene's World Clear Stamp Sweet Birdie and RANGER Archival Ink in Jet Black. I fussy cut the leafy branches and added them to the page with the love hearts and some flowers from my stash. I finished the page by adding some ART BY MARLENE Die Cut Elements and a DUSTY ATTIC chipboard title that I painted with white gesso.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today. I hope you find some time to play along with the challenge this month too.

Cheers

Current Mood with Belinda Spencer

 Hello Scrapping Clearly fans!

It's Belinda here with you today to share my latest art journal spread inspired by the September Mood Board. I love working in black and white so I couldn't resist making a second project!

'Current Mood' Art Journal Pages

I started by adding this fabulous Scrap FX Rice Paper using Ranger Multi Medium Matte. I scraped a little heavy white gesso over parts of it using a palette knife once it was dry.

I swiped some black and white gesso over the surface again using the palette knife. Once that was dry I added another layer of collage. I was lucky enough to grab myself the stunning Botanical Collage Paper by Tim Holtz when it was in stock and I am using it very sparingly because I love it so much. These pages just needed some of it though. I tore some pieces of it and added with the same Multi Medium Matte.

Next I went crazy with stencilling, stamping and a bit of doodling with a white Posca Pen.

I stamped my fairy using the Aall & Create Take Flight Clear Stamp Set. I stamped the girl on smooth white cardstock and the wings on tracing paper/vellum. I used the Vicki Boutin Colour Study Stamp Set to add 'tattoos' to my girl and doodled around them with a black journalling pen. I drew some antennae, fussy cut everything and stuck all the pieces together.

I cut some of the quotes from a sheet of patterned paper from the Heidi Swapp Art Walk 12 x 12 Paper Pad and also used a sticker from the Jenine's Mindful Art Collection Sticker Book.

Just Married by Belinda Spencer

 Hello Scrapping Clearly fans!

It's my turn on the blog today and I am sharing a layout I created for Scrapping Clearly inspired by the August Mood Board.

Here's a peek at the mood board:

To start my layout, I mounted a cropped sheet of Vicki Boutin Mixed Media Art Paper onto some patterned paper from my stash. I spritzed some water onto the page and then dropped in some Colour Blast Colour Artist Ink in Berry. I used a soft paintbrush to spread the ink around a little and then flicked some of the colour over the page with the paintbrush. I dried the page completely with a heat gun before the next step.

I spritzed some Dylusions Ink Spray in Crushed Grape onto my craft sheet, added a little water and then swiped a Vicki Boutin stencil through the colour. I then 'stamped' the stencil onto the page. I repeated this process until I was happy with the amount of 'stamping'.

I added some more stamping, this time using actual stamps from the Heidi Swapp Always Mini Stamp Set with Tim Holtz Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide and Dusty Concord Distress Ink.

I layered my patterned papers and Heidi Swapp 6x6 Die-cut papers together to create a stack under my photo and added that to the page.

I added a bunch of embellishments and my title  as well as a little more stamping to finish.

Products used:

VICKI BOUTIN Mixed Media Art Paper
VICKI BOUTIN stencil
COCOA VANILLA STUDIO Midnight Die-cuts
COLOUR BLAST Colour Artist Ink Berry
TIM HOLTZ Distress Ink Dusty Concord
DUSTY ATTIC Chipboard
UNI Posca Pen Black

Thanks for stopping by the blog today. I hope you find some time to play along with the mood board challenge too.

Fabulous with Belinda Spencer

Happy Friday the 13th Scrapping Clearly fans!!

It's Belinda here today to share my latest layout created for Scrapping Clearly featuring lots of awesome product from the store.

For this layout I have used the stunning Colour Study collection by Vicki Boutin. I love the beautikful bold and bright colours in this range. Here I have stuck mostly to the lemon and lime coloured patterned papers and embellishments.

I started my layout by adding Colour Blast Colour Inks in Citrus and Lime to my page. I spritzed with a little water and then placed a piece of plastic packaging over the top to spread the colour out. I dried it off with a heat gun before moving on to the stencilling.

I applied some of the Lime Colour Ink to the piece of plastic packaging and swiped a stencil through it. I then stamped the stencil onto the layout. I did this a few times until I was happy with the coverage. I completely dried the page with a heat gun and thenadding some stamping. I used various stamps from the Darkroom Door Number Medley Rubber Stamp Set along with Tim Holtz Twisted Citron Distress Oxide.

I added my photo on a layered stack of co-ordinating patterned papers from the range as well as all of the embellishments scattered across the page in a somewhat random way.

I used the Stamps from the Colour Study range to create some embellishments. I stamped them onto the same papers as the photo stack and then fussy cut.

I fussy cut some pretty butterflies from a Scrap FX Transparency sheet too.

Tab Tag Booklet with Belinda Spencer

 Hey Scrapping Clearly fans!

It's Belinda here today with a late post! I have a cute little booklet to share with you featuring the Tab Tags by Studio Light Art By Marlene Essentials and lots of other fabulous goodies from the store.

I grabbed 6 tags from the pad and proceeded to colour them using Prima Art Philosophy Concentrated Watercolours. I spritzed one tag to start with using quite a lot of water and then dropped the watercolour onto the surface. It's kind of mesmerizing watching the watercolour bloom and spread. I added three different colours to the first tag. Then, because the tag was so wet, I placed another tag on top of it to colour that one too.

There was quite a lot of excess watercolour that squeezed out the sides so I used some book paper to swipe it up and made myself some instant collage fodder.

Next I grabbed some of the awesome Dina Wakley Stickyback Canvas Tape. I cut three lengths, removed the backing and stuck them to some plastic packaging. I spritzed them with water and added the same watercolours. I left them to dry in a sunny spot. These are what I used to bind my tag book together.

Once completely dry, I stamped and stencilled the tape. I used Ranger Jet Black Archival Ink for the stamping and a heavy weight gesso for the stencilling.

Next, I added some stencilling to the tags using the same gesso and stencils.

Here is the cover of my tag booklet. I added some collage using torn pieces of the collage fodder I created earlier and also torn pieces of Art By Marlene Collage Paper. I also collaged on a cute girl from the Art By Marlene Paper Elements Books (Mint and Lime). I used Dina Wakley Ultra Thick Gel Medium for the glue. I also added some stamping and doodling. I used a Stabilo watersoluble pencil to scribble around the girl and then activated with a wet paintbrush to emphasize her and set her apart from the background.

I used pretty much the same techniques for all of the pages using different cute die cuts from the Paper Elements books. I used Posca Pens, acrylic paint and Lyra Watercolour Crayons to add detail to the backgrounds. The quote stickers are from the Studio Light Jenine's Mindful Art Collection Time To Relax Stickers.
