Hi everyone

Here's another quick layout using minimal supplies (great when travelling or at a crop)

I started by placing my photos on my page about where I thought they would go

And then used some water colour paints  (Prima Confections)and a brush to colour the background.

I added a few small embellishments from

Cocoa Vanilla Study Unforgettable ephemera and

Heidi Swapp Art walk stickers

and some Heidi Swapp Favorite Things puffy teal stickers for my title.

'SEEK' - Travelers Notebook - Prompt - Postage Stamps by Emma Zappone

Hello, another week has just whizzed past and it's Thursday again.
This means because it's Thursday I have a Travelers Notebook spread for you. 😊
This weeks prompt is Postage stamps. As soon as I saw this theme I knew that I had to play with some cool 49&Market products and postage stamp stamps.

You can see these pages come to life here in my video....

I really wanted to make this a fun create using fun products. Left over in my stash was some original 49&Market washi which I used to start my collaging with.
Next came rub ons from an assortment of different 49&Market collections. (yes I have them allπŸ€πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‰ ).

I continued with rub ons within the layers. I then added some colour by using the trusty Distress Oxide Inks in a variety of colours including - Vintage Photo, Brushed Corduroy, Old Photo & Rustic Wilderness.
Once the colour was dry, I then added a small amount of stenciling with a Finnabair stencil.

Once the paste was dry, using a wax in 'Firebird', highlighted it ever so slightly. Next came some stamping, I used 2 different stamp sets for this, the first was an Aall & Create - 'Framework Elements' and the second was an old Finnabair - 'Carte Postale' that has all postage style mini cling stamps.
Finally came a few 'embellishments and quotes.

A fine drawn border and a flick of  Art Philosophy's 'Honey' these pages were complete.

I hope you enjoy watching my process video and that maybe it inspires you to create your own version for this weeks theme.

I will see you all again soon.

Stay Crafty, Em xx

hello gorgeous by Tracey B

 Hi everyone

I was inspired by the colours in this month's moodsketch to create this very simple layout.

My background was created by spritzing the back of some stencils including Vicki Boutin Bubbles that I had used on another layout with the Distress Oxide (Mermaid Lagoon & Salty Ocean)

I die cut some Vicki Boutin Color Study patterned paper and added some Amy Tangerine enamel hearts, flowers and ribbon.

Part of my title was from Heidi Swapp Stationary Buzzwords.

Sunsets created by Tracey Thorne

Hello Saturday!

I hope you are all enjoying your day and filling it with creativity. I'm sharing my new 12x12 page today & hopefully it will help spark a few more ideas and add to that hum of creativity in your art space.

This was the beginning of the layout I created last week for Mother's Day. I was almost to the sticking down of the photo  and decided I was not happy, so I put this one aside and it has worked perfectly this week with the photo from my quick getaway from the long weekend.

I have started with a base of 12x12 white cardstock. I have used my roll of tape to create a pencil drawn circle that I will stitch around a few times with black cotton.

After stitching the circle in place I have traced an AALL & Create stencil #116 Tre Fiori with a white crayon to leave a slight resist pattern on the page. I have used a wash of Lindys Magicals in - Oktoberfest Orange & Aged Copper with a large flat paintbrush and moved the colour across the page.

Once this had dried AALL & Create stamps from #396 Sewing Forever & #392 Memento Mori were added across the page. I have only selected parts of the Sewing stamps and omitted the ladies. this has given a muted and grungy look to the page. I have used the AALL& Create stencil #53 Florastella to add another textural layer on the outer sections of the page. Liquitex Light Modelling paste worked perfectly for this application as this is a fine stencil and I was only wanting to use portions of the stencil.

I have added ephemera from a Prima 6x6 pad I have had in my stash for a few years. I find little 6x6 pads have a lot of cute little elements that are perfect for layering and adding interest to a page. The little resin buttons I have coloured using the Lindys Stamp Gang magicals.

I have created the title using my Silhouette and have coated it in Glossy Accents to give it a nice sheen.
Prima Mica Powder in Cold Pink was used to give the typed journalling a little shimmer also.

I finished the page off by adding a black pen drawn border to the page.

I hope you have an excitingly creative weekend

Runway model by Tracey B

 Hi everyone

I was inspired by this month's mood sketch to do a layout with 5 photos.

Very hard to believe as my go to is 1 photo but the sketch made it very easy.

I started with a brick stencil and some impasto paste and added some colour using the packaging technique and some Distress ink (Barn Door, Spiced Marmalade & Rusty Hinge).

I then used a stamp and Distress oxide (Victorian velvet) to add a little more interest.

I matted my photos with some Vicki Boutin Storyteller and WR Crush patterned paper.

I fussy cut some butterflies from the Vicki Boutin paper, and added some wire as antenna (never cutting them out!) to a few of them.   I used some ancient Basic Grey alphas for my title and consider it done.

here are some close ups

and the finished page

love today created by tracey thorne

Welcome to my share this Mother's day weekend. I had a lovely lunch date with my mum and captured this pic before we started out meals.

I have used a little Prima Memory Hardware Artisan Powder in French Amber with an AALL & Create stencil  on white cardstock. I have then sprayed it with water to disperse across the page. I have then added a little modelling paste across the page.

I've used a few resin pieces on this layout which have been painted with Prima Art Alchemy Acrylic paint in Soft Satin and then rubbed over with Prima Art Alchemy wax in Bronze Age. The wax was also used to rub over the modelling paste. I have then marked out where the photo was going to go with a pencil and then used my sewing machine with black thread to create a frame on the page. The photo was mounted on Heidi Swapp Honey & Spice printed paper and then adhered using foam tape to help raise the photo.

I have used a range of Kaisercraft stamps and Prima script stamps with Ranger black ink on the page. Finally Thickers were added to create the title and I have added journalling by typing out my story on white paper.

Thanks for popping in to check out my Mother's day layout. I hope you and your's have a fantastic day of celebration Sunday.

"Chill" with the May Moodsketch, by Amanda H

 Hello SC fans

Got a bit messy with this month's moodsketch! Channeled by inner purple and pinks!

Here are the link to the Scrapping Clearly products used to create the mixed media background:

I followed this month's mood board:

Here is my final page......

Here are some of the steps to make that mixed media background.

I mixed some Periwinkle and Blackberry paints to get the right purple tone for the layout.

I swiped it to the white cardstock with a old store card.

I used Colour Blast Snow white paste to stencil some spots and stars to the layout.

I splatters some Liquitex ink to the page and blew the ink around with my little puffer!

Stenciled some extra stars with Distress Oxide, and painted some of the same ink colour to the page.

Painted and splattered some extra pink to the page too.

Page finished with: Diecut stars, stickers, bling dots!

Thanks for looking, hoping you go bright and join the challenge this month.

Amanda
