“Naughty or Nice?” - By Amy Churchward

Christmas is just around the corner, and with it comes the joy of creating festive layouts that capture the spirit of the season! This year, I decided to play around with a theme that’s both playful and nostalgic: “Naughty or Nice?”. After all, isn’t that the age-old question we all ponder during the holidays?

As we dive into this month's Christmas topic, the Holiday Magic Colour palette really sets the mood. Think rich reds, deep greens, and shimmering golds – the perfect blend to bring out the warmth and wonder of the season.

For this layout, I had so much fun mixing and matching some gorgeous papers and embellishments.

The Luckyfindings Image: Holly was the ideal touch to frame the central photo, giving it that classic Christmas vibe.

I used various papers from the Vicki Boutin Warm Wishes Collection, including “Holiday Wishes”, “Hello December”, “Holly Jolly”, “Snow Day”, and “Evergreen”. These papers are just so versatile and beautifully designed, making it easy to layer them for a rich, textured look.

One of my favourite tricks is using the Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher to staple papers together. Not only does it serve its practical purpose, but it also adds a cute, rustic embellishment to the layout.

To give the page a bit of sparkle, I splattered some Simon Hurley Lunar Paste in Slippery When Wet – it’s just the right amount of shimmer to catch the eye without being too overwhelming.

Of course, no layout is complete without a few finishing touches from my stash! I added some star embellishments and flair from Charms Creations that brought the whole piece together.

Check out these close-ups to see the details:

Thanks so much for looking! I hope this inspires you to get into the Christmas spirit and create something magical this holiday season.

Happy scrapping!

Amy 😊

be your own hero by Tracey B

Good morning everyone

This month's colour palette is bold and bright.   And, if you're like me and your stash of neon is limited - it's time to go shopping!

I printed a Lucky Finding imagery photo onto some copy paper and painted up my gelli plate and tried to pull a print.   It didn't work they way I wanted (possibly the wrong sort of printer) but still usable.

used lots of Dina Wakley paints (Legit, Ocean, Gnarly and Tubular)

some Colour Arte silks glaze (Apricot Nectar, Pint Anthurum and Jasmine)

made some paper netting (lots of YouTube videos available)

Other products from my stash including

fabric

ribbon

staples

stamps

Flutterby word stickers

chipboard

black gesso

Be Bold - Amy Churchward

Hi there, fabulous scrappers! Amy here, ready to shake things up with a layout that’s a little outside the box and a whole lot of fun! 🌟

This November, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and dive into something bold and daring, just like the sassy image at the heart of this design.

The spark of inspiration came from this month’s colour palette – Urban Graffiti. Picture it: vibrant hues, edgy vibes, and a street-smart attitude that’s just begging to be splashed onto your pages!

The Background Breakdown

First things first, let’s talk about that background. I wanted something dramatic yet versatile, so I reached for my trusty Dylusions Ink Spray in Black Marble. I mixed it with water, grabbed a wide brush, and went to town with horizontal strokes. While the ink was still wet, I got a little wild and added large dollops of water with a dropper to create a wicked watermark effect. Trust me, it’s as cool as it sounds!

To add some punchy details, I pulled out the Tim Holtz Brush Mark Stencil and worked some magic with Distress Oxides in Twisted Citron, Salty Ocean, and Lumberjack Plaid. The result? A vibrant, graffiti-inspired backdrop that screams creativity!

Stamping Fun

What’s a bold layout without some funky stamping? I dug into my stash for a stamp set that perfectly complemented the theme. Layering the stamps across the background gave it a dynamic, textured look that’s full of energy and movement.

For the title, I couldn’t resist using the Tim Holtz Black Upper Case Foam Stamp Set. I combined Distress Ink in Salty Ocean, Lumberjack Plaid, and Twisted Citron with a permanent black stamp ink to create a striking, multi-coloured effect. It’s bold, it’s loud, and it’s absolutely fabulous!

The Star of the Show

Now, let’s talk about the star of this layout – the image. I chose an absolute gem from the LuckyFindings collection called “I am a Rockstar”. It’s fierce, it’s sassy, and it captures the bold spirit of this design perfectly.

Close-Ups and Final Touches

Curious to see the finer details? Check out these close-ups! You’ll spot the texture, the layers, and all the little touches that bring this layout to life. It’s a project that’s as fun to make as it is to admire.

So, what do you think? Ready to be bold with your next layout? I hope this inspires you to take a creative leap and try something new. After all, scrapbooking is all about expressing yourself and having fun while you’re at it!

Ciao for now, lovelies! Amy 😊

Born to Explore - Amy Churchward

Hello there - thank you for stopping by!

Can you believe it’s already October?

This year has flown by so quickly - no pun intended - as today, I’m excited to share a mixed media layout using the beautiful LUCKYfindings Imagery Sheet - "Fly with Me Baby" image.

Kylie has added a variety of these LUCKYfindings prints to the shop, and there are soooo many to choose from.

For this layout, I’ve drawn inspiration from this month’s colour palette play.

I just love these colours with the black and white photo!
