On my bucket list by Tracey B

 Hi everyone

here's a follow on from last week using similar photos as I'm working on an album for Dominic

This came together really quickly as I used a waste-not page and added some Distress Oxide (Mermaid Lagoon) using the packaging kiss technique to bring in the aqua as a nod to this month's mood sketch.

other products I've used include

WRMK patterned paper (Crush - Best Friends)

Heidi Swapp fabric bow

49 & Market Spectrum Sherbet chipboard

Vicki Boutin Wildflower & Honey chipboard

Tis the Season by Tracey B

 Hi everyone

Although my go to base is white card stock I couldn't go past this sweet Pink Paislee Citrus Bliss Bloom  for this layout based on this month's mood board.

Love the addition of aqua to the traditional Christmas colours.

I added some impasto paste through a circle-ish large floral stencil and when dry drew around the shapes with a couple of stabilo pencils and then added water with my water brush.   I added a bit more colour with Prima water color Confections.

I matted my photo with WRMK patterned paper Crush (Best Friends & Twittered pated)

I used the elastic from a Jane Davenport charm set (couldn't find the charm!).   Initially I braided it but didn't like it so unpulled it and stapled it on in a rough circle using my longarm stapler.

I added some Heidi Swapp chipboard and some Kaisercraft Pocket stickers.

Hop you enjoy this moodsketch and get lots of time to play.

cheers

Tracey

Life is all about your perspective - by Tracey B

 Hi everyone,

November already - hard to believe how fast this year is disappearing.

This month's moodsketch is all about the blue.

I started with lots of stencils and distress inks on some white cardstock but it all got a bit busy so I added some Dina Wakley paint (Lapis & Black) with a brayer.

And then some Light & Fluffy modelling paste through an Aall & Create stencil.

it was still too busy so I cut the paper, mounted it on some Vicki Boutin Color Stdy (Line Drawing) patterned paper and then onto some Cocoa Vanilla Bohemian Dreams (Dreamer) patterned paper.

Other products from my stash include

chipboard buttons

flair

photo turn

brad

safety pin

heart stick pin

Backyard Fun created by Tracey Thorne

Hello crafters

I have been having so much fun creating with the new Lucky Findings Foundations packs that I keep forgetting to stop and take process photos of how my layouts have come together but alas a new release has passed my desk again and this time I was pretty excited with what my head conjured up for this one ... I hope you like it.

The new Lucky findings art foundation - Zesty Garden release.

I have a few pre prepped 12x12 pages that are starting to pile up, so I have used one of those for this layout. This 12x12 base was created on white cardstock and to that I have painted on some blue paint and then used a spotty stencil and a wet wipe to rub a little of the paint away whilst picking up paint and wiping it into the white space. I have then used a black pen to circle a few of the dots on the page. I have created a frame on the page using a pencil and then stitched over this with black cotton using a sewing machine. A little extra background stamping was added using a Kaisercraft stamp. I added muslin across the page and adhered the photo in place with tape and a few staples to the side.

I created the title Backyard using the silhouette cameo cutting machine and white cardstock. I have then cut the inside to the hollow words using Luckyfindings foundations – Zesty Garden design paper. I’ve then glued these together using tombow glue and added this to the bottom of the photo. The word fun was also cut using the silhouette,  painted black and added to the bottom of the word backyard using glue.

I found a few timber embellishments that fit the theme in my stash and layered they to the right of the photo. An old large brad out of my stash was also used in the centre of the camera to add a little sparkle.

The final touch was to add a stitched border around the outer edge of the Layout.

Thanks for popping in to checkout my latest project. Don’t forget you can check out all the Luckyfindings foundation packs over at the shop.

Have an amazingly creative weekend.

'Adventure is Worthwhile' by Emma Zappone

Hello there.
Em with you today, and today's share is an Art Journal page which was created with all Tim Holtz products. It was fun to create with layered stamps and rub on transfers.
And the great thing is you can see it all in my YouTube video.

I used some older stamps I have in my stash that are a ticket style to style my background and then a cling stamp which features a flower to add another layer.

Check out the video here....

I then used a few Remnant Rubs amongst the stamped layers. This was cool as it added another shade of black into the background mix.

The image is from a set of Idea-ology Snapshot cards that I fussy cut and then layered with ephemera from Idea-ology pack 102.  This pack is full of tickets and envelopes and more.

For the colour in the background, I chose to use Distress Crayons on an acetate sheet to add just subtle colour. the colours also were chosen to compliment the ephemera pieces.

The quotes are from  a small talk pad and are such easy ways to add quotes and phrases to any page.

Finally once everything was stuck down, I added a splash of Black Liquitex ink.

A simple yet effective page. Check out the video to see each layer come together.

Thanks for joining me today, and I hope I have inspired you to create with some older products in your stash along with some new ones.
See you all again soon.
Em xx

You want me to do what by Tracey B

 Hi everyone

This is completely out of my comfort zone - using patterned paper as my base and I think it's because this 13@rts paper is so gorgeous, I didn't want to cover it up!

I think I could have just framed the paper and called it done!

here are some close ups

I brushed on a little ink to some flowers to tie them into the layout.

Products I've used include
13@rts Grungy Walls paper - Scratchy walls
Um Wow Studio chipboard
13@rts flowers
Kaisercraft die cuts Prairie Lane
Alphas from my stash (dated 2007!)
Flowers, stamens, beads, ink, mesh, packaging

'Fairy Tales' with Emma Zappone plus Video

Happy Thursday friends!
Emma with you again today with a new Art Journal page featuring another Lucky Findings Foundations pack, this time I played with 'Earthly Riches'.
And there is a YouTube video for this page too 🤗😜

This pack is so moody and lovely all at once. I was drawn to the numbers in this pack and I knew I wanted to play with some of my number stencils which included the Finnabair 'Book of Numbers' stencil. I used black Gesso through the stencil work after I had applied 2 torn panels from 2 of the papers in the Foundations pack.

These packs lend them selves to so many different designs, so super versatile, but I did enjoy going down the grungy path with this one. And I loved incorporating the stamps from the washi sheet into my collage panel. You will see more of how I used them in the video.

The gorgeous wings were made by using the Aall & Create stamp set 'Take Flight', and I had fun inking them up with liquid acrylic.

It just wouldn't be me if I didn't use some rub-ons! So I used some 49 and Market rubs as well as some Stamperia ones I had in my stash, which I used as embellishments on my photo image.

I scribbled, I stamped, I played with ink and paint! I had fun!

I hope this page inspires and encourages you to have a play again soon too.

Check out my video here for all the steps and create process....

Till next time, Stay Crafty.

Em xx

Obligatory pumpkin carving by Tracey B

 He everyone

welcome to another month and another fabulous mood sketch.

Paddy's partner Del has brought many wonderful experiences into our lives and as Halloween is her favourite time of year, it's full on in our house!

I started with my usual white cardstock background and added some torn 13@rts Grungy Walls and a little Heidi Swapp Honey & Spice (Harmony) patterned paper.

I added a little stenciling using Finnabair Oriental Wall stencil and Distress Ink (Rusty Hinge and Spiced Marmalade).

I also added some 49 & Market Spectrum Sherbert rubons (which did get lost on the patterned paper :(

I inked some chipboard trees with Distress ink Walnut Stain and after coating with white gesso covered the chipboard alphas and pumpkin shaker with some Dina Wakley paint (Penny & Cheddar) and a little Art Alchemy wax (Firebird) as a highlight.

I filled my shaker with sequins, beads including Finnabair micro beads (Copper).

Here's some close ups

'The World Needs Who You Were Made To Be' by Emma Zappone

Happy Thursday everyone.
Em with you today, sharing another quick Art Journal spread.
I created on my Art by Marlene Journal as I love to be able to take the pages out to create with.
Check out the process here in my video ....

I used some awesome products for this one. And I'm just addicted to Rub-ons so this one features the stunning Finnabair rub transfers.

The background is a mix of texture, using the Finnabair 'mind games' stencil with gold crackle paste and then I added black gesso through a letter & alpha stencil I had in my stash.

I then added a couple of Distress Oxides to the background to create a shadow effect behind the composition. The colours used are Forest Green and Old Linen.

The large focal point is one of the larger rub-ons and to compliment this image I rubbed a few cogs onto the background also.
Then I layered with elements from Tim Holtz's ephemera. It has sooooo many awesome 'bits' to use.

Now the title was one large title from Tim Holtz and I cut it up. I love how it looks more home grown once I cut it up, uneven sizes really add to the journal effect I feel.

Thank you so much for joining me today. And I do hope you enjoy the process video too.

Have a great week and I will see you all again soon.

Em xx
