'The World Needs Who You Were Made To Be' by Emma Zappone

Happy Thursday everyone.
Em with you today, sharing another quick Art Journal spread.
I created on my Art by Marlene Journal as I love to be able to take the pages out to create with.
Check out the process here in my video ....

I used some awesome products for this one. And I'm just addicted to Rub-ons so this one features the stunning Finnabair rub transfers.

The background is a mix of texture, using the Finnabair 'mind games' stencil with gold crackle paste and then I added black gesso through a letter & alpha stencil I had in my stash.

I then added a couple of Distress Oxides to the background to create a shadow effect behind the composition. The colours used are Forest Green and Old Linen.

The large focal point is one of the larger rub-ons and to compliment this image I rubbed a few cogs onto the background also.
Then I layered with elements from Tim Holtz's ephemera. It has sooooo many awesome 'bits' to use.

Now the title was one large title from Tim Holtz and I cut it up. I love how it looks more home grown once I cut it up, uneven sizes really add to the journal effect I feel.

Thank you so much for joining me today. And I do hope you enjoy the process video too.

Have a great week and I will see you all again soon.

Em xx

Artful beauty by Tracey B

 hi everyone

here is another layout inspired (very loosely) by this month's moodboard featuring artwork by the very creative Del.

I started by spritzing my messy mat that contained left over Dina Wakley paint (Blushing, Lemon & Tangerine) with water and picking it up with some packaging and smooching it onto the page.

I then added modelling paste scraped through a sunflower stencil

I added a little more colour using the packaging technique and Prima Confections paint and Neo Color II crayons.

I fussy cut some Vicki Boutin Color Study Gallery patterned paper and added some 49 & Market Spectrum Sherbet chipboard and some Vicki Boutin chipboard from the Wildflower & Honey collection.

Other products I've used include

American Crafts foam letter stickers Splendid

Tim Holtz Small talk stickers

Ranger Enamel accents.

Flowers

Enamel dots

Skelton leaf

'Handle with Care' by Emma Zappone

Hi there everyone, Emma with you all today.
Today I share a quick  Art Journal page that could also be seen as a mini Layout.
This is probably my fave way of Art Journaling.
It also features the Foundations Pack 'aliferous', which is just stunning!!!
I have a video for this page also for you to enjoy.

Lets look at some of the close ups of this page.

This pack leads to being able to add from all sorts of other brands too, which this page incorporates, such as 49&Market, Finnabair, Tim Holtz ect.

How awesome are all the rubons together!!!

I just love to mix and match from different brands.

I hope that this has inspired you to have a play with different brands and mediums.
Check out my video here....

Catch you all again soon, till then, Stay Crafty!

but wait, there's more by Tracey B

 Hi everyone

This layout is a following on from last week, inspired by this month's mood sketch.   It's not meant to be a double page, but they'll probably sit side by side if I ever get around to putting them in an album!

Because I didn't have a lot of yellow paper I pulled out my gel plate and started making a mess with Dina Wakley paint (Lemon, White, Olive, Evergreen & Lime) and some stencils including TCW Deco Stripes and Petal splash .   These papers were yellow but I got a bit carried and couldn't stop!   I find gel printing a lot like that - it's so addictive.

I cut the paper into rectangles then sewed them onto the page just for a little more interest.

here's a few close ups

Other products I've used include

Art INC sticker

Cocoa Vanilla Totally Rad enamel shapes

Mambi Sticks puffy arrows

Vintage Heidi Swapp Ghost Flowers Clementine

Heidi Swapp Old School Definition stickers

Kaiser Craft alphas

Studio Calico alphas

Amy Tangerine enamel stickers

Happy crafting

'Own Your Dreams' by Emma Zappone

 Hi SC friends,
Em with you today. I have had another opportunity to play with the Lucky Findings Foundations pack in Sherbet. It went so perfect with some 49&Market Rubons and this time I created on Bookplates.
Check out my YouTube video to see it coming together here.....

This pack has such usable colours and it is super versatile, it can go either grunge, pretty or even a little vintage!

I used a small amount of the washi sheet and a little of the pattern rice paper to give me the colour tones and 'grunge' vibe I wanted. I used a mix of different mediums to treat the edges of the layers too, such as some Liquid Acrylics and Art Philosophy Watercolour Concentrates. These really helped bring each layer to life.

Creating on a couple of the 49&Market bookplates allowed me to also use some of the fun transparency from the foundations pack as a layer to create more colour and interest to the pages. (Ask Kylie to get these bookplates into the shop, cos they are awesome 😉)

It was so fun creating with more resin moulds too. I even popped a couple of embellishments I have had in my stash for ages on to my project.
I would love you to check out my video with a cuppa and enjoy the process, it shows it way better than I can describe it 😜

Thanks everyone for stopping by.
Stay crafty, Em xx
