Just Married by Belinda Spencer

 Hello Scrapping Clearly fans!

It's my turn on the blog today and I am sharing a layout I created for Scrapping Clearly inspired by the August Mood Board.

Here's a peek at the mood board:

To start my layout, I mounted a cropped sheet of Vicki Boutin Mixed Media Art Paper onto some patterned paper from my stash. I spritzed some water onto the page and then dropped in some Colour Blast Colour Artist Ink in Berry. I used a soft paintbrush to spread the ink around a little and then flicked some of the colour over the page with the paintbrush. I dried the page completely with a heat gun before the next step.

I spritzed some Dylusions Ink Spray in Crushed Grape onto my craft sheet, added a little water and then swiped a Vicki Boutin stencil through the colour. I then 'stamped' the stencil onto the page. I repeated this process until I was happy with the amount of 'stamping'.

I added some more stamping, this time using actual stamps from the Heidi Swapp Always Mini Stamp Set with Tim Holtz Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide and Dusty Concord Distress Ink.

I layered my patterned papers and Heidi Swapp 6x6 Die-cut papers together to create a stack under my photo and added that to the page.

I added a bunch of embellishments and my title  as well as a little more stamping to finish.

Products used:

VICKI BOUTIN Mixed Media Art Paper
VICKI BOUTIN stencil
COCOA VANILLA STUDIO Midnight Die-cuts
COLOUR BLAST Colour Artist Ink Berry
TIM HOLTZ Distress Ink Dusty Concord
DUSTY ATTIC Chipboard
UNI Posca Pen Black

Thanks for stopping by the blog today. I hope you find some time to play along with the mood board challenge too.

Cheers
Belinda

For my background I started with heavy white cardstock and I added some colour to the page using a painting with plastic technique and Prima watercolour confections - purples from the Classics and Tropicals palates.

I added some stamping using black Archival ink and Bee Arty Stamps.

Next I added stencilling using a Bee Arty Stencil and TCW platinum modelling paste

Here is my finished page. I've used a photo of my gorgeous daughter and her boyfriend :)

I matted my photo with Vicki Boutin Storyteller Mosaic paper and Heidi Swapp Color Magic paper. I embellished with a paper doilie, metal embellishment, paper flowers, chipboard, mini beads, and Tim Holtz Idea-ology small talk stickers. Art By Marlene makes it easy- mixed media fun with Lisa Oxley

Howdy blog lovers, Lisa here with a Sunday Scrapping Clearly mixed media update.
My 3 day weekends, with 7 weeks lockdown have me filling my journals rather quickly.
While attempting to use up my stash, I busted out some Art By Marlene die cut pieces, and what colourful fun one can create with these beauties.

"It's time to move on."

Sharing 3 pieces I have created, using simple elements such as,

"Take a Break"

"It's all in how you look at things"

Thanks a bunch for dropping by to check out today's SC feature.
I'll be back very soon with another Sunday SC mixed media update.

Fabulous with Belinda Spencer

Happy Friday the 13th Scrapping Clearly fans!!

It's Belinda here today to share my latest layout created for Scrapping Clearly featuring lots of awesome product from the store.

For this layout I have used the stunning Colour Study collection by Vicki Boutin. I love the beautikful bold and bright colours in this range. Here I have stuck mostly to the lemon and lime coloured patterned papers and embellishments.

I started my layout by adding Colour Blast Colour Inks in Citrus and Lime to my page. I spritzed with a little water and then placed a piece of plastic packaging over the top to spread the colour out. I dried it off with a heat gun before moving on to the stencilling.

I applied some of the Lime Colour Ink to the piece of plastic packaging and swiped a stencil through it. I then stamped the stencil onto the layout. I did this a few times until I was happy with the coverage. I completely dried the page with a heat gun and thenadding some stamping. I used various stamps from the Darkroom Door Number Medley Rubber Stamp Set along with Tim Holtz Twisted Citron Distress Oxide.

I added my photo on a layered stack of co-ordinating patterned papers from the range as well as all of the embellishments scattered across the page in a somewhat random way.

I used the Stamps from the Colour Study range to create some embellishments. I stamped them onto the same papers as the photo stack and then fussy cut.

I fussy cut some pretty butterflies from a Scrap FX Transparency sheet too.

Enjoy by Tracey B

 Hi everyone

I was feeling in a bit of a rut so I dragged out my Gel plate for a bit of a play.

I started with some Dina Wakley paint (Blackberry, Heather, Stirling & Night) and a Carabelle Studio Indian Mandala mask

After I had pulled a few prints I used my Art By Marlene mandala stamp (similar to this one) and some Ranger embossing ink and some black sparkle embossing powder.   I then cut these into strips.

On a sheet of Pineapple Crush paper I splattered some Distress Oxide Seedless Preserves and then sponged some Distress Ink Dusty Concord through a Dina Wakley Large Halves stencil

Some flowers from my stash, a Heidi Swapp fabric bow, Small Talk stickers  and a Heidi Swapp acrylic word as my title and I was done.

cheers

My Darling with Emma Zappone

Happy Sunday all! Emma here with you today sharing a page inspired by this months glorious moodboard. It has the warmest shades of mauve, purple and grape. Colours that usually would have me running, but this time I decided to really embrace them and make them my own.

Here is the moodboard.....

To achieve the different shades of purple, I used a variety of different products. But lets start from the base sheet up. I primed by paper with a clear gesso and allowed to dry. Then with a couple of different stencils added a white crackle paste and again allowed to dry. Once dry I then used a Distress Crayon - seedless preserves and a touch of Dylusions crushed grape ink to create a dramatic effect on the crackle paste.

To add a little warmth I watered down a small amount of Art Alchemy Metallique romance pink acrylic  with a fine brush, dotted in amongst the other shades of purple.

I used a number of scrap pieces of paper from all sorts of brands to achieve my layers behind my image. The chipboard is painted with the Romance pink acrylic, I primed all my resin pieces with black gesso and then brushed Prima waxes once dry. these were a combination of Heather Hills and Amethyst magic. It created such an awesome finish.

Once all my embellishments and flowers were in place I dry brushed a little white gesso over a lot of the elements, this allowed me to then add a touch of wax over the art pebbles and other embellishments.

Lastly a few Finnabair micro beads and Prima pearls to add a soft touch. I watered down a little of the Distress crayon used on the background and flicked this around my layout to tie it all together.

I hope this page inspires you a little to try a colour that may not be your first choice or one that you play with often, but that's what makes a challenge like this so much fun.

Catch you all again soon, Em xx
