Mixed Media Canvas

Morning Peeps,

I had an old canvas that I had played around on trying an abstract technique, that I didn't hate but didn't really love either.

So I thought I would use it as a background for a mixed media style canvas.

I covered my metal and plaster mould pieces with white gesso after gluing them in place.

I then coloured them with my alchemy paints.

 I found the background was still too in your face so I then dry brushed some white gesso over the top of it to tone it down.

I really love the soft distressed finish of this one.
