Fun & Funky Shimelle

I received a shipment of Shimelle papers from Kylie yesterday and had a cute pic on my desk that would go with these super fun colours and very playful papers.

The Shimelle Box of Crayons collection is super funky and I have chosen 3 papers and cut varying circles from them - (Outpouring, Promise, That's the spirit).  I have edged the circles in black ink and drawn borders on a couple of the circles. My photo is quite dark so the papers have helped lift the page with their light and bright prints.

The next step was to find the placement that I was happy with before adding some stamping and the photo. I have used a Jane Davenport stamp from the Build a Bouquet set.

This range of papers has some really cute embellishments. I have added a Fabric milkshake embellishment, some of the stickers  & some Shimelle glittery enamel dots and hearts.

I have cut my own title and colored it using and Artline marker before adhering it to the page using Tombow glue. I love the little tip on the glue and the quality when it comes to sticking down my fine titles.

The final touch was a nice neat black border using the Fudeball pen and a few little wooden birds.

I hope you have a fun weekend of creative expression. I had a golden bag delivered this week with a box full of art supplies to get stuck into - I am one very happy creator.

  1. Great idea to use a roll of sticky tape to cut out circles, especially if you don't have a die cut machine.
