Farewell from Chloe

Hello there Scrappingclearly fans.

This post is rather sad, it's my very last post as I am finishing up my DT position at the end of this month.
It's been a wonderful 2+ years and I thank Kylie and the team so much for their faith in me.
I have enjoyed my time here, designing with some fabulous ranges, trying new things and making new friends.

For my very last post I've decided to share my favourite pages/creations from the last 2 {and a bit} years.

There might be a few, so make that cuppa and enjoy!

So there you have it - a quick journey through my 2 {and a bit} years here at Scrappingclearly.
What a journey it has been! I will miss it so much, but life takes us in different directions,
and it's time for me to take a step back now.
I know that the rest of the team will continue to inspire you and I will enjoy seeing their projects in the days to come.

For the last time, happy scrapping, and take care.

Much love,

Merry Christmas

Hello there Crafters!
I hope you are finding some time to craft in this busy month.
Remember our fabulous December Challenges!

Today I am sharing my last lot of Christmas cards using my SC stash ....

I used some more papers from the 6 x 6 Heidi Swapp Believe paper pad,
these are just perfect for cards - there are so many different looks you can get from the same paper pad!
Adding some gorgeous die cut ephemera makes things
super easy for coordinating embellishments.

Super easy cards - I love how effective just a simple strip of washi tape, a glitter cardstock die cut,
and a Heidi word (they come in such great varieties!) can be.

This last card was created using some journal cards from My Mind’s Eye – On Trend 2 Collection – Journal Cards.
Using journal cards is one of my favourite things to do on cards - it makes creating easy,
and there are so many different colours and styles to choose from!
This is my last Christmas card post - I hope you have enjoyed them as I loved making them!
See my other posts HERE and HERE.
Do you make Christmas cards?
Do you use non-Christmas ranges?
I'd love to see some!

Til next time,
Happy creating :)

Stash busting Christmas cards - Take 2 - with Chloe

Hi There Arty Peeps.
You might have seen my last blog post about searching my stash for leftovers to make Christmas cards.
Here are some more creations from my mammoth card making session ... a session that,
admittedly, lasted quite a few days ;)

I still had some sheets of paper from the 6 x 6 Heidi Swapp Believe paper pad - these are just PERFECT for cards - there are so many different looks you can get from the same paper pad!

Adding some of the gorgeous Heidi Swapp Believe Ephemera makes things super easy for coordinating embellishments :)

I've also used some of the gorgeous banners from the Believe Banner Delights pack.  I really like this black/white/red colour palette for Christmas cards!  What do you think?

Do you make Christmas cards?
Do you use non-Christmas ranges?
I'd love to see some!

Stash busting Christmas cards!

Hello there Scrappers!
If you are anything like me, you have a rather large stash of older products,
collections that are mostly used but you still have bits and pieces left,
and you can't throw anything away - ever!
Because you never know when it will come in handy!

Well, I decided to make some Christmas cards with what I have on hand.
Preferably not Christmas ranges - there's nothing like challenge, right?!
First up, I saw my sheet of Pebbles – DIY Home Collection – Washi Tape Paper ...
this was perfect for a washi background!

THIS PAPER from the Pebbles DIY Home collection even featured a deer head that I cut out with a paper punch.

For my second card, I used some journal cards from My Mind’s Eye – On Trend 2 Collection – Journal Cards.
Using journal cards is one of my favourite things to do on cards - it makes creating easy!

I added some Heidi Shine on the background for some shimmer
and diecut the deer out of glitter cardstock.

Do you use non-Christmas ranges?
I'd love to see some!

Happy creating :)

November sketch - with Chloe

😊 Hello there Scrappers!

I hope you are all enjoying the challenges this month - and maybe you found time to play along with our Birthday challenges too?

Here is the November sketch:

I was instantly inspired by the sunburst background and knew I had the perfect The Crafter's Workshop stencil which I used with some mist ...

You'll notice I did mirror the sketch to suit my photo, plus I added a few more layers here and there for added interest.  I've loved playing with the Cocoa Vanilla You Rock collection - it's perfect for pets, too!

I've added some sparkle with the Heidi Swapp Glitter Stickers Navy – Epic ... I just love these!  Lots of layers with the chipboard and veneer, along with the paper ephemera ...

Fabulous Nov Mood Board - by Chloe

Hello there!
Have you seen this month's mood board yet? It's quite dramatic!

Such a vibrant board, isn't it!

I was inspired by the colours, and the grid design...

I used the Something Wonderful 6 x 6 Designer Pad for the background papers -
I've wanted to do this design for a while using 6 x 6 papers (no cutting to size ;) )...  and this was the perfect opportunity!

I just love that street map washi tape - so versatile and fun :) It also hides the paper joins ;)

That gold word thicker is so hard to photograph - but so awesome to use!

Hope you can play along with our challenges this month.

Nap time - by Chloe

Hello there Scrapping Clearly fans!

Today, I will be sharing a page inspired by this month's mood board.

I remembered that awesome CVS paper in the YOU ROCK collection ...

and this was the starting point for my page...

How gorgeous is that pic of my little nephew!!

Loving to layer up the embellies in the mood board colours!  I added a swipe or two of red paint for an accent colour.
(More product links below.)

You've still got until midnight tomorrow to play along,
upload mood board your entry here,

You had us at WOOF - by Chloe

Hello there!  Has anyone had some time to create with the challenges we have this month?

I just loved the sketch and got started on it right away!

I loved the idea of a busy patterned background so I incorporated that in my page...

I've used papers from the gorgeous Pebbles DIY Home collection ... the wood grain effect being perfect for my photos :)

I added some Gelatos to the background for a hint of colour ... I'm not great at big messy mixed media backgrounds!

I mixed and matched ranges too - using some Cocoa Vanilla Studio You Rock embellies for a masculine feel.
They matched perfectly!

I received a pack of the Journal Cards in my DT kit and I LOVE using them on cards - it makes the whole process easy and quick!

I've added a doily and flower from my stash to give some texture... so pretty ... I actually really love these colours together :)

This one is just journal cards!  So easy, right?!

The best day - by Chloe

Hello scrappers, it's me again!  This time I'm sharing a page created with the On Trend 2 collection by My Mind's Eye.  Such a beautiful range!  I love love love the pops of gold in it!

My daughter attended a children's floristy class on the school holidays recently.  She loved it - came home and added FLORIST to her wish list of things she wants to be when she grows up ;)

I created some stripes on my white background using Gold Screen Print Ink - I just applied it with a scraper tool for some messy thick lines - love the way they turned out :)

I love the flower stickers in this range - they make clustering a breeze :)

I've added another of my fav Designer Desktop Essentials Clothespins – Beautiful .  This time, I didn't want the bulk it added to my layers, so I took it apart and removed the back bit - perfect!

Have a happy scrappy day! :)

Hello there scrappers!  How are you liking our fabulous September challenges?  I loved the colours of the mood board this month ...

I love pinks and yellows together - and adding green just seems perfect for Spring :)

I'm still scrapping photos from our trip to the Zoo last year! LOL
I love this candid moment of map checking ... we had to make sure we saw everything!

I have used a mix of a couple of ranges for this page:  Pink Paislee Citrus Bliss and My Mind's Eye On Trend 2.

The flowers from the board inspired me ... what element inspires you? Hope you can play along!
