I have a new Favorite stamp-thanks a bunch Kylie for ordering in this beauty.

who doesnt love Architecture? for the pure scale and magesty, for shelter and comfort.

my other half is a draftsman and plans flow through our house, so these stamps, I just had to secure.

'A Perfect Moment'

Hi everyone! Amy here. A new month and a new Moodboard - yay! 

This Moodboard is a beauty - on so many levels - from the colours and tones to the subtlety of the textures.

I have here a photo captured from our accommodation during a recent trip to Western Australia. I thought that the photo was just the thing to match this gorgeous Moodboard...

... and so this is my take on this Moodboard. 

I do have to admit that I found this Moodboard challenging to do, as I tend to do more brightly coloured and masculine-looking projects - being the mother of two boys. However, it was good to be out of my comfort zone and I am kinda happy with how this page came together.

I started the layout on a base of white cardstock primed with gesso. I then added a sheet from the Kaisercraft 'Ooh La La' collection from the store. This collection is full of gorgeous vintage-style papers. Next I added some stamping with a Kaisercraft background stamp.

For the circles, I simply dipped the lid of my Colourblast Colour Spray bottle into stamping ink and stamped randomly around the page. 

I splattered both 'Love' and 'Roadbase' Colourblast Colour Spray over the page. 

From here, more layers were applied to this page. Again, I used the Colourblast 'Roadbase' and 'Love' - with water - over the background. 

Once this was fully dried, I splattered the background with Dina Wakley acrylic paint in 'Sterling' and Prima Art Alchchemy paint in 'Red Wine'. 

Next I applied modeling paste over The Crafter's Workshop Mini Circle Stencil, to break up the background a bit. 

Once this was dried, I adhered my photo down with layers behind it.

For the layers, I used some items from my stash, as well as fussy-cutting some shapes from the Kaisercraft 'Ooh La La' collection. 

To finish off the page, I added some sequins for bling, and punched and inked some flowers from the Kaisercraft papers. 

Finally, for the subheading, I used the Tim Holtz Idealogy Collection Small Talk.

'Very Bunny'

Hi there Scrapping Clearly fans!

It's Amy here, and today I have a scrapbook page to share with you that I made using lots of goodies from the store. 

I created this page during the Easter Cybercrop Challenge last month. The photo is of my first attempt at making homemade hot cross buns - and they were delicious!

To make this page I started with white cardstock and - over a dotted Kaisercraft stencil - I sprayed Dylusions spray in 'Crushed Grape'. 

I then applied Dina Wakley paint in 'Blackberry' - and Prima Art Alchemy acrylic paint in 'Metallique Gold Rush'. 

Next, with modeling paste, I used the The Crafter's Workshop mini 'Cell Theory' stencil, from the store over the dried paint.

Once completely dried, I added splatters of Dylusions Shimmer Spray in 'Crushed Grape'. Using black Gesso, I painted circles randomly with a plastic lid from my stash.

Once the background was dried again, it was time to apply layers and embellish this gorgeous page. I used various papers from the store: Pink Fresh Studio - Escape the Ordinary; Shimelle / American Craft - Box of Crayons; and I inked a Heidi Swapp tag.

Seeing as this page has many layers behind the photo, there was little embellishment required.

However, to complete the page, I placed a white flower with a Cocoa Vanilla Studio Bitty Bloom over a Charms Creations Map Marker. 

I didn't have purple thread in my stash, so I sprayed white thread with some moreof the gorgeous Dylusions 'Crushed Grape' from the store. The purple mesh here is left over vegetable packaging!

Finally, for the title, I used American Crafts Thickers and Pink Fresh Studio Alpha's.

'Love this guy'

Hi all!

Today I am sharing a page using stencils three ways!

I love using these tools - but I do want to warn you that these stencils are addictive!!

I have scrapped this photo of my hubby captured enjoying a nice moment on the south west coast of W.A. To me, he is a good man with a big heart - I am one lucky girl!

To begin, I primed my page with gesso - as is robust to work with, with wet media (later). 

Once completely dried, I grabbed a Tim Holtz mini layered stencil set 3-pack and sprayed ColourBlast 'Sunset' Colour Spray on a craft mat - so I could dip the stencil on the colour spray. Then I lightly sprayed water over the cardstock. Then I placed the colour-dipped stencil onto the cardstock.

I repeatedly placed the stencil over the areas that my photo was going to be placed. I then heat dried with a craft gun.

For the second stencil method, I used a make-up sponge, with Distress Oxides in both Spiced Marmalade and Mustard Seed, and my Tim Holtz stencil. I rubbed the circular shapes randomly over the page, as pictured. I absolutely love the versatility of these little beauties - the Distress Oxides.

Another way to use stencils is to provide texture to your project. I have used a The Crafter's Workshop 'Mini half-tone circles' stencil. I mixed some modeling paste with Lindy's Stampgang Magicals powder and, using a spatula and stencil, I applied it over various parts of the background. 

I then heat-dried the modeling paste with a craft gun and continued to work on the background, using splatters stamped with bubble wrap this time.

Next, I adhered my photo down over the layered papers from the store. Take a look at these close-ups:

For the background and layers behind the photo, I have used (from the store): Tim Holtz 'Small Talk'; Dina Wakley Collage Papers; and Shimmelle 'Box of Crayons' patterned paper.

In this gorgeous cluster, next to the photo, I die-cut some flowers and leaves and inked with ColourBlast Colour Sprays in both 'Sunset' and 'Saffron'. I also hand-punched out the white flowers - and then coloured them with Distress Oxide in 'Mustard Seed'.

Finally, for some bling to add to this page, I used 'My Mind's Eye' enamel dots, pearls, and completed the page with a Charms Creations 'Terrific Tab'.

I hope you enjoyed the step by step process of using the stencils in different ways. As you can see, they are so versatile and easy to use.

Creative Love for Your Year Ahead.

Howdy Bloggers, Lisa here with an end of the month Scrapping Clearly mixed media update,

 more importantly, we slide into the end of the year,

a little worn out and now, ready to recharge and take on a new year ahead.

Today I am sharing with you a quick art journal page. 

Using a few paints, one simple The Crafter's Workshop stencil and 

the baby wipe rub back technique, you can throw this one together very swiftly.

I like using one stencil and repeating it with various colours, thus building up the print,solidifying the idea and adding extra interesting details.

 I have added a little music sheet paper for extra texture and detail.

Be brave when adding the black.

Tip when using black - use double the amount of wipes and turn your wipe constantly.

 Using some ART By Marlene Collage paper to cut a simple heart shape.

A little extra detail on and around the heart,mark making, some background stamping and a slip of Dina Wakley Collage papers for a title then this heart felt, simple piece is finished .
