Life is all about your perspective - by Tracey B

 Hi everyone,

November already - hard to believe how fast this year is disappearing.

This month's moodsketch is all about the blue.

I started with lots of stencils and distress inks on some white cardstock but it all got a bit busy so I added some Dina Wakley paint (Lapis & Black) with a brayer.

And then some Light & Fluffy modelling paste through an Aall & Create stencil.

it was still too busy so I cut the paper, mounted it on some Vicki Boutin Color Stdy (Line Drawing) patterned paper and then onto some Cocoa Vanilla Bohemian Dreams (Dreamer) patterned paper.

Other products from my stash include

chipboard buttons

flair

photo turn

brad

safety pin

heart stick pin

here's some close ups

Celebrate - with Belinda Spencer

 Hello Scrapping Clearly fans!!

It's Belinda here today to share my latest project for Scrapping Clearly featuring lots of awesome products from the store. Today I have a layout to share with you inspired by the gorgeous November Mood Board.

'Celebrate'

Here's a reminder of the stunning colours of the mood board:

This was such a fun layout to create starting with an explosion of colour on my background using the awesome Distress Oxides from Tim Holtz. I love the Oxides so much that I try to use them on everything!!

Here I pressed the ink pads onto a piece of plastic as some of the other DT have done (I had to try it for myself!!) I spritzed it with water and then pressed onto the page lightly. I dried the page in between each colour. I also picked up some of the colour from the plastic with a soft wet paintbrush and flicked it over the background.

Next I added a layer of stamping using the same colour Distress Oxides and the stunning Mandala Tapestry stamps by Art By Marlene as well as Vicki Boutin Kaleidoscope Clear Stamps.

I also used the sentiment stamps from the Vicki Boutin set with the Distress Oxides and stamped them around the central area.

Next I added some Heidi Swapp patterned papers that I had die cut using the Kaisercraft Nesting Pennants Dies and some Heidi Swapp Ephemera on top of some messy cotton thread..

Finally I added my photo as well as the title and other embellishments.

Here's what I used:
- Favourite Things Stickers
KAISERCRAFT Decorative Dies Nesting Pennants
BAZZILL Marshmallow Heavy Weight Cardstock
- Peacock Feathers
- Picked Raspberry
- Spiced Marmalade
- Twisted Citron
- Wilted Violet
ART BY MARLENE Clear Stamps Mandala Tapestry
VICKI BOUTIN Clear Stamps Kaleidoscope

Thanks for stopping by the blog today. I hope you find some time to have a play with the mood board too.

Cheers
Belinda

Happy days, by Amanda H

 Hi everyone!

Happy November! And nothing makes us happier than a bright and fun mood board. And November's mood board is just perfect! I was inspired to create this page on the weekend.

Here is the mood board:
I lined up a collection of my acrylic paints from Dina Wakley and Dyan Reaveley... and went from there!

Paints I used:
Dina Wakley Acrylic paints: Peacock, Blackberry and Tangerine
Dyan Reaveley -Dylusion paints: Tropical Sangria, Sour Appletini.

I used a white smooth cardstock base and used a credit card to swipe colour to the page. I dried off each paint layer before adding the next.

Inspired by the dots in the mood board, I used some black texture paste through a dotty stencil.

Before adding my photos and embelishments, I mixed a little of the bright pink Tropical sangria paint with some water and splattered the page! I also painted around the edge of the page a little.

Here are some close ups!

I also painted a Charms Creations (DIY white) chevron with the pink paint to match!

Thanks for looking! I hope you have time to play with this month's mood board. Please load your page into our FB group album.

Merry & Bright ~ A Scrapbook Page with Melinda

Hey, and welcome to the blog today!
Melinda here with you sharing my take on the dramatic and bold November mood board,
once again designed by the very talented Peg!!

I was drawn immediately to the colours (as I'm sure you worked out already!) and decided that it would be the perfect time to scrap last years Santa photo of my boys. Here's a little refresher of the mood board.

I've used a white card stock base as I knew straight away I wanted to randomly spread some black gesso on my page in 2 places - one for my main photo and the other as a smaller embellishment cluster to the side. When my gesso was dried I grabbed my Bling Colour Shimmer Pot by Colour Blast and my biggest round paintbrush to add splatters. I love how the gold pops off the black!

I used a couple of paper layers behind my photo, Peppermint Stix (the text side) 12x12 paper by Heidi Swapp and also the Joyful Christmas 12x12 paper by Pink Fresh Studio from last years Oh Joy collection, cut to size and distressed the edges using my scissors (I couldn't find my tool!).

I have grabbed 2 tags from the Teresa Collins Tinsel & Co Tags Ephemera pack (and chopped off the bottoms) to also layer. I also used a punch from my stash to cut a couple of labels to use - one from one of the tag off cuts, and the other from one of the patterned papers, to add into my layers.

My title came from the gorgeous Oh Joy Gold Acrylic Stickers sheet - however a note - be super careful as you pull them off - the delicate ones are fragile!! Love the way it pops on that black!

My final steps were my journalling using a white gel pen and some splatters watering down some white gesso and using a paint brush (one of my new ones by the way, I picked up in the store here during the Black Friday sale!!) to splatter all over (I actually remembered to cover my photo!!).

I really love how this page came together! Better than I had expected in fact.
You have until the end of the month to get your own challenges completed and loaded up into the mood board FB album or sketch album in the ScrappingClearly group.
I hope you get some time to play and go into the draw for a voucher to the store!

Until next time, happy scrapping!

Fabulous Nov Mood Board - by Chloe

Hello there!
Have you seen this month's mood board yet? It's quite dramatic!

Such a vibrant board, isn't it!

I was inspired by the colours, and the grid design...

I used the Something Wonderful 6 x 6 Designer Pad for the background papers -
I've wanted to do this design for a while using 6 x 6 papers (no cutting to size ;) )...  and this was the perfect opportunity!

I just love that street map washi tape - so versatile and fun :) It also hides the paper joins ;)

That gold word thicker is so hard to photograph - but so awesome to use!

Hope you can play along with our challenges this month.

Snapchat Fun with Melinda - November Mood Board Challenge

Hey there ScrappingClearly fans!! Melinda here with you today sharing a fun page I put together using a combination of supplies from the beautiful kits Kylie has sent me!

Before I go any further though, here is a refresher of this month's mood board - isn't it beautiful!!

I took inspiration from the colours and that blue water coloury paint swatch bit - it reminded me of the ocean! And funnily enough, those beautiful peacock feathers reminded me of mermaid scales so I went straight for the photo I ended up choosing! And here is my take!

I have made a YouTube process video which you can see below on my channel and read on for a few close ups!

I had a lot of fun playing with some Colour Blast goodies in the background! I started with a stencil and some Colour Paste in Singin' The Blues, Bling and Deep Water and a stencil from my stash.

After that was all dry I added some water colour using a big brush and some Envy Colour Shimmer Spray straight from the bottle.

I have used some papers from the WRMK Crush 6x6 paper pad and also this paper from the Shimelle Starshine collection to back the photo. I haven't added a heap of things on top of the mixed media work, I really wanted to be able to see it but I have used some bits from the Shimelle Starshine ephemera pack, the Pink Paislee C'est La Vie stickers and also one of the pieces from the same ephemera pack.

I have used these beautiful gold glitter thickers from the Maggie Holmes Bloom collection for my title and quickly added a little journalling!

My final touches were some staples and some little black glitter hearts and stars from this Heidi Swapp alpha sheet. And of course, a date stamp and a couple of sentiments!

I hope this inspires you to interpret the moodboard in whichever way takes your fancy! You still have a few days to share your own take over in our FB group so make sure you get your entries in for a chance at some great prizes!

Thanks so much for stopping by, until next time!

Moodboard inspired layout, by Tania

HELLO.....I'm here to share my layout, titled, 'BEAUTIFUL'! And it's my take on the moodboard this month!!! Here is the moodboard in case you haven't seen it!!!

So, here's my layout!! I'm using some Chickaniddy papers this month!!! And loads of other gorgeous delights from the Scrappingclearly store which I will link you to, as we go along!!!

I started my background by spongeing a thin layer of Gesso around the photo. I then used a Dusty Attic stencil and some gorgeous 'BLING' & 'JUST BLUE' colour paste.
Once that was dry, I did a tiny bit of stamping around the colour paste with a Kaisercraft, tiny dots stamp, & a cute little wooden Heidi Swapp heart stamp from her Memory Planner range! Then, it was all about the layers behind my photo. I've used a mixture of the Chickaniddy papers again, plus some Prima packaging, (from some flowers). There's also a few pieces of that gorgeous Maggie Holmes, gold foil vellum which I had left over from a previous project! I did add a few gold accents on this layout! At the very bottom, there's a strip of the We R' Memory Keepers, Clearly Posh acetate, and in the photo below, you can see my Gold, Heidi Swapp acetate word I used, for my title.

Below the title is a cute little, Flea Market bow...I love these, from Maggie Holmes & Crate Paper!!! You'll see I have a paper drinking straw behind my layers, some washi tape, then there's the flower cluster, which is made up of some Prima sugar blooms & other smaller flowers. I coloured some white leaves, using Distress stain.

I hope I have inspired you to play along with our moodboard this month. don't forget there's a sketch too. You can link up your challenges over on the facebook page now. See the link above!!!
