Christmas Tag Time

Welcome back to the blog. I hope you are getting yourself ready for the Christmas season and are totally immersed in the new moodboard. There is something really special about the love of creating and melding that together with the Christmas spirit and giving.

What started off as just a few tags to share ended up being 16 tags and a little tag fold up. I hope you can gather some inspiration to make your Christmas a little more special and a little more homemade with your gift giving.

I used gesso to create a base on the tags. I painted this quite roughly to help add texture to the tag. I created the tags in sets of 4 and then chose a color theme for each set by selecting a Vicki Boutin Watercolour crayon.

Each crayon was applied quite roughly and then sprayed with my mini mister to disperse... in places the crayon disappeared and in others it left an amazing texture.

I distributed other colors to help compliment the tags. If you own any of the Bo Bunny glitter paste it is amazing to use on tags and gives some awesome dimension for Christmas tags.

I have added some tissue paper to various tags using Dina Wakley Media collage tissue. It was applied using Liquitex Matte Gel.

I was not loving this one so it got a really good coat of gesso and then a Crafters Workshop stencil was applied and some excess was wiped away using a wet cloth.

Various stencils were used including TCW mini organic matter, TCW circle of jewels, TCW circles

Some stamping was done on some tissue also and cut and applied using matte gel. In the below pic I have used the Carabelle Birgit Koopsen stamps - scribbled leafs and textured circles.
