Hi Scrapping Clearly peeps,

Lisa J popping in today to say farewell. Sadly the time has come for me to step down from the Design Team so today I will be sharing some of my fave layouts.

I would like to thank Kylie and the team for having me along this year. It has been great being part of the Scrapping Clearly community.

September Moodboard Challenge with Lisa J

Hello all and welcome to the weekend.

Here is my take on the challenge.

I used Cocoa Vanilla Studio's Boys Rule collection, washi tape from Teresa Collins and Saffron Colour Spray and Steel Colour Paste from Colour Blast.

I also coloured some chipboard chevrons from Your Creative Wings with Posca Pens in Black and Silver.

2 Cool For School - Jillibean Soup

Good morning Scrapping Clearly peeps,

Lisa J here today to share a layout created with the super cute Jillibean Soup 2 Cool for School Collection. 

The Collection pack is amazing and comes complete with these adorable puffy stickers (who doesn't love a puffy sticker???).

I loved the bold colours in this collection and they popped beautifully against a crisp white background. The diecut pack in the collection featured some sweet little puppies so I decided to scrap a photo of one of my boys with our dogs Max and Charlie. They aren't the greatest photos but Max is no longer with us so they are precious to me.

Everything for this layout apart from the white cardstock came from the Collection pack and the "together" title sticker from the co-ordinating cardstock sticker sheet.

I went back to basics with this layout (no mixed media at all), just my all time love patterned paper and with all the gorgeous patterns in the Jillibean Soup collection I couldn't resist.

Inspiration Board - Lisa J

Welcome to another week of inspiration here on the blog. Speaking of inspiration have you given this month's inspiration board a go yet? I loved the colour palette on this board. 

I started with some gorgeous papers and embellishments from the Teresa Collins Urban Market collection. I started with a gorgeous tan stripe from the 12x12 paper collection. I knew I wanted to add more colours so I applied a layer of clear Gesso and let it dry first. I probably could have skipped this step as the Urban Market papers are a heavyweight cardstock style.

Next I started adding layers of Distress Oxide inks using a piece of plastic packaging. I used Faded Jeans and Frayed Burlap. I sprinkled some Dylusions Ink Spray in Vibrant Turquoise. In this picture you can see where I sketched out where my paper layers would go so I didn't waste all my mixed media and cover it up.

I created some paper layers around my photos and used the Chipboard Elements for embellishing.

I added some cute buttons from the Chipboard Buttons pack and some turquoise enamel dots from my stash.

That's My Boy - Lisa J

Hi Scrapping Clearly friends,

Lisa J here today to share a scrapbook layout using Cocoa Vanilla Studios You Rock collection.

I am still loving the look of colourful layers on white cardstock with a gorgeous patterned paper border. So if it makes you happy do it I say.

The You Rock Stripped paper was perfect for creating strips of colourful pattern on my page without having to chop into too many brand spanking new sheets of 12 x 12 (the first cut is always the hardest).

There are so many fantastic co-ordinating embellishments in the collection it made the finishing touches super simple.

I have used the Chipboard, Wood Veneer, Sticker Accessory Sheet and Die Cut Ephemera on this layout.

I added sprinkles of colour with Heidi Swapp Color Shine.

Stash Busting Paper Scraps with Lisa J

Good morning Scrapping Clearly friends,

It is the second week of the School Holidays and I am loving it. They go way too fast.

Today I am sharing a layout I created with a Crate Paper Good Vibes 6 x 6 paper pad and that is also perfect for paper scraps. 

I started by backing a heart cut file with all the gorgeous patterns from Crate Paper's Good Vibes collection making sure none of the patterns were next to themselves.

Next up I faintly sketched out where my heart would sit on the page and added some paint to my background using Dylusions Paint in Peony Blush and a Turquoise from Dina Wakley. I used a babywipe with a stencil to take some of the paint off (my favourite Lisa Oxley technique) and then added some text stamping with a white inkpad.

A doily, some fussy cut elements, paper layers and a super cute puffy sticker Llama complete my layout.

Stash Busting Chipboard Alphas with Lisa J

Good morning Scrapping Clearly friends,

Today I am sharing a layout I created after setting myself a challenge to use up some random letters I had left over from the Heidi Swapp Chipboard letters.

I started by adhering the letters to some white cardstock with Gel Medium followed by a liberal coat of clear gesso to the whole background/

Once it was dry I added some colour with Dylusions Sprays in London Blue and Lemon Zest. I applied these with a paintbrush straight from the bottle and let them run.

I loved the colourful messy background this created.

 

I then continued on the stash busting theme digging into my Cocoa Vanilla You Rock leftover papers and stickers.

 

I finished off with a Fabric pennant from Pink Fresh Studio and a Chipboard Frame from Heidi Swapp and some wood veneer stars.

Smile Pretty - a scrapbook layout with Lisa J

Hi Scrapping Clearly friends,

Lisa here today to share a scrapbook layout using Dear Lizzy, Crate Paper and Heidi Swapp.

I started with a base of white cardstock and added some strips of paper across the top third of the page using papers from the Dear Lizzy Happy Place collection (Bananas, Be Free). I added some sprinkles of Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Coral.

I created some layers around my photo with the gorgeous Good Vibes 6x6 paper pad from Crate Paper. I fussy cut some of the elements including tags and mini houses.

 

I inked up some Heidi Swapp diecuts with Distress Oxide Ink in Mermaid Lagoon.

The final touches were some sprinkles of sequins and pink glittery buttons.

Starstruck - a layout by Lisa J

Hiya Scrapping Clearly friends,

I have a layout to share today using all things Heidi Swapp.

I had a photo of my littlest guy with musician 8 Ball Aitken at the Tamworth Country Music Festival that I had been wanting to scrap so the idea of using lots of stars to create a "starstruck" layout was born.

I started by lightly tracing a circle on some white cardstock. I used Color Shine in Navy and Citron to sprinkle around the circle and then placed my acrylic stars down with a spot of glue. I stitched (very roughly) over these with black thread.

I created some layers around my photo with the 6x6 paper pad.

#Smile - a layout with Crate Paper Good Vibes

Good morning Scrapping Clearly friends,

Lisa here today to share a scrapbooking layout featuring loads of Crate Paper Good Vibes collection.

How adorable are these Embossed Puffy Stickers. They were the inspiration for this layout.

I started with a base of white cardstock and swiped on some Dylusions Paint in Rose Quartz. I got out one of my favourite Dylusions stencils and added some dots with Dylusions Paint in Peony Blush . My last step was some circles stamped with yellow paint and a lid and some extra pink with this stencil from Dusty Attic.

I cut tags and other embellishments from the Crate Paper Good Vibes 6 x 6 paper pad. I cut a Pom Pom frame in half to highlight my photo, added in some of those sweet embossed puffy stickers and a flair badge from Heidi Swapp's Hello Today Flair badges and buttons. The funky black and white stripe paper is a strip from a plaid paper from Dear Lizzy Happy Place called Top Notch (on sale at the moment - bargain). 

I also added some teeny gold glitter hearts and letter stickers from Heidi Swapp's Memory Planner line. The alphas are such a great size for project life and subtitles. A cute little Geo Tag from these stickers, a date stamp and some typed strips of journalling finished off my layout.
