Hello everyone and hello to Sunday!
Currently I am on holiday and loving Sunday even more.
Today's share is an Art Journal spread. It has a grungy laboratory vibe. Plus a video for you to enjoy to see the process.
This Art Journal is one of the ARTS Inc journals. And I prepped the pages with white gesso to give them a little extra strength and usability for mixed media.
The pages feature a Ciao Bella rice paper to start with then a Tim Holtz stencil with some texture paste and a mix of Rub-ons.
Once the Rubs were on then came the colour. Using a mix of different Distress Oxides to enliven the pages. First colour was Aged Mahogany in a reinker. Then to lighten that colour Speckled Egg in the spray.
Once the colours were dry, the stamping began. Choosing a mix of stamps from the Stampers Anonymous Glitch 1 set. Along the border I burnished with Vintage Photo ink and Peacock Feathers.
Adding a couple of butterflies from the Botanical collection and some quotes from Tim Holtz small talk menu sheets this little page was complete.
