Hello Scrapping Clearly peeps!!

It's Belinda here today to share my latest layout for Scrapping Clearly featuring some stunning products from the store.

'Memory'

I started my layout with a sheet of gorgeous patterned paper from the 49 & Market Old School Mini Paper Collection. This is such a cool paper pack that also includes a 12 x 12 sheet of die cuts. The paper I chose is just one sheet even though it looks like a whole bunch of layers stuck together. I love this look so much but it was messing with my head trying to keep my photo straight on the page!! LOL I solved this optical monkey business by placing a metal ruler inside the right hand side and lining my photo up with that. So much easier!

I used the Mini Mosiac Squares 6x6 Stencil from The Crafters Workshop with some black gesso on the background.

Next I wanted to have a play with the brand new Vicki Boutin Colour Study Stamps so I added some of those to my background using Ranger Jet Black Archival Ink

I wanted to make it a little more grungy so I sprayed some Black Marble Dylusions Ink Spray on and let it drip. I also flicked some Heidi Swapp Tea Colour Shine over the top (once the black was dry).

Then I created a stack of papers using some die cuts from the 49 & Market Everyday Artistry Ephemera Stacks (that I had in my stash), a die cut from the Old School Mini Paper Collection, book paper and a torn piece of Heidi Swapp 6x6 die cut paper. I shuffled all the bits around and then stapled them together in the centre before adding to my page. I added some messy black thread on top of the stack.

I stamped some bugs from the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Specimen Stamp Set onto some 49 & Market Everyday Artistry paper using the Jet Black ink. I fussy cut each image and slipped in around the photo stack. Then I added my photo.

Finally I added some Mini Metal Stars by Prima, some large black sequins, quote stickers and the title. For the title I used a Heidi Swapp Wood Veneer word that I inked with the Jet Black ink. I used a white Posca Pen to decorate and make the word stand out more. I used the star from the Vicki Boutin stamp set to create star embellishments.

Have you seen the beautiful 13@rts Transparency sheets?

which I have used on my page today.

For colour, I used Tim Holtz Distress Oxides as watercolours.

To create this page, I made templates of the circles on the transparency so I could paint the circles to the white background. With circles drawn on the white cardstock background, I painted each circle with Distress oxides. I also used some plastic packaging to smoosh more colour onto the background.'

This page was then easily assembled - I put the transparency over the painted background - and done! fastest layout ever! LOL.

I layered my cute photo with some paper and a doily and finished with some simple stickers and stars.

You guys.... go get some of these transparencies - before they sell out!!!!

Excited? Way! by Tracey B

 Hi everyone.

Still coming down from the fabulous Easter cyber crop so here's a quick layout inspired by this month's moodboard.

I started with some white card stock and glued down some Dusty Attic chipboard and covered the whole page with  13@rts gesso. 

I then scrapped some Light & Fluffy modelling paste through a Vicki Boutin Star Stencil and a Dusty Attic stencil.

I dry brushed on some Art Alchemy acrylic paint (Mettalique Pure Sunshine, Metallique Light Patina and Sparks Butterfly Spells and toned it down with some more gesso.

I added some splatters of Dylusions Ink spray (White linen) and then some of Colour Blast spray (Road Base) which I do regret as it spread more than I wanted.

A Heidi Swapp acetate word, a  flocked acetate sticker and some of Teresa Collins Something Wonderful chipboard and alphas and I thought I was done.

At the last minute I decided to add a few more elements using a Heiidi Swapp Sticker Foil kit (Similar to this).   They didn't show up well in the photo but were super easy to use!

Here's also a couple of pages that I didn't get around to sharing over Easter, ooops!.

A bit of Whimsy - by Emma Zappone

The project shared today was inspired by this months mood board.
Beautiful soft pastel tones to play with.

Soft pastel colours are not always easy for me to play with, but this board is just scrumptious.
I already had papers in my stash I could play with and I knew I really wanted to use the Aall & Create Lotus Clusters stamp set. So I stamped a couple of the images onto the papers I had chosen which complimented the board perfectly, and fussy cut them out. 

For the background work after priming my paper with clear Gesso I smooshed 2 Distress Oxides - Tumbled Glass and Squeezed Lemonade, these pulled the colours from the already coloured background out. I then added 2 Dylusions acrylic paints - Rose Quartz and Island Parrot with a palette knife over the background to add more colour and visual interest.

The acrylics were a bit on the bright side so I muted them with White Linen to create more of the pastel tone. Next to create more texture, with modelling paste I added a layer using Stampers Anonymous stencil mini set, then with the same lotus cluster stamps I added them to my background along with a few of Tim Holtz Field Notes stamp set.

Once happy with the stamping and all layers were dry, I built my paper layers up. Adding those fussy cut stamped lotus flowers in amongst the tag layers. A nice big resin and some large glass domes to reference the photo this layout was complete. 

I love it when a project comes together easily and feels good.

Brain Freeze with Belinda Spencer

 Hello Scrapping Clearly fans!

It's Belinda here with you today to share my latest layout for Scrapping Clearly inspired by the gorgeous April Mood Board.

The colours in the mood board are so lovely and made me grab out perfectly matched Distress Oxides in Cracked Pistachio, Picked Raspberry and Squeezed Lemonade. The colours reminded me, not only of Easter colours, but ice cream too. That led me to choose a photo of my kids from a couple of years ago (at least) when we used to be able to go out in public safely. We would sometimes walk along the beach, get an ice cream and find a nice spot to sit and eat it. Those times seem so long ago now but I hope we will one day be able to do that again. 

To create my background, I swiped the Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide onto a piece of plastic in a long line. I then spritzed it with water as well as the background Marshmallow heavy weight cardstock. I then pressed the plastic onto the page. I dried it off with a heat gun and then repeated for each colour.

Next I grabbed the Kaisercraft 12x12 Bubbles Template and applied the Distress Oxides using an ink blending tool.

I added some stamping using Ranger Jet Black Archival Ink and a quote stamp from a Technique Tuesday Clear Stamp Set. I tore a piece of 6x6 Heidi Swapp Die Cut paper and added that to the page. I cropped some Heidi Swapp patterned paper from a 6x8 Paper Pad, stapled those together and added to the page.

For the next step, I added some more stencilling using a Heidi Swapp stencil with heavy white gesso. The inks were bleeding through the gesso so I used a white Posca Paint Pen over the top to make the hearts whiter. I added some messy black lines around the patterned papers too using a Micron 05 pen.

Finally, I added my photo, all of my embellishments and the title.

Like A Dream - With Karyn Schultz!

 Hi Scrapping Clearly Lovelies!

It's Karyn here and today I have an art journal page that I created using lots of fun products available at Scrapping Clearly!  

 

 

I'm playing along with the April moodboard challenge. We would love for you to join in with this challenge and be in the running to win a Scrapping Clearly store voucher. You have until April 30th and you need to upload your challenge here. 

 

These pages are created on a burlap page in my 8x10 Dina Wakley Media Journal. Once again I find these pages a challenge to use - So I decided to create some tags to attach to the page.

 

I've use a tag that I added stencilling using Distress Oxides in colours that coordinated with the moodboard - I used Cracked Pistachio, squeezed lemonade, and worn lipstick. These were sponged through an Art By Marlene stencil.  

 

 I added a photo I found on Pinterest, I matted it on some tags from a Heidi Swapp Embellishment kit. Lastly I added some white diecuts,  Tim Holtz Idea-ology Snarky quotes and ScrapFX Flowery Bits. I doodled around the edges of all the tags with a black Fude Ball pen.

Bust Out your Colouring Books. Art Journal fun with Lisa Oxley

Howdy Bloggers, Lisa here with a Scrapping Clearly Sunday mixed media update.

Today I'm sharing a couple of pieces from my #100dayproject2021, with which I have busted out a rogue colouring book(I do not colour in), and found a few things to use on my pages.

It is really quite easy to find a simple image, add colour and create drama.
