'You Rock' Scrapbook Page with Lisa J

Hello there,

I am so excited (and I have to admit a wee bit nervous) to share
my first project for the Scrapping Clearly Design Team.

Kylie chose well for me this month with my DT goodies - the absolutely gorgeous "You Rock" collection from Cocoa Vanilla Studios. Oh my, this collection is stunning and as a Mumma to four boys just perfect for me.

Just look at this perfection:

My first layout with the kit is "You Rock".

I started with some white cardstock and, once I worked out where my photo would be positioned,

added some background interest with stamping and mist splatters.

The Colour Blast Colour Sprays are perfect for adding colour without shimmer.

I love Ranger Archival Inkpads for my stamping since they are permanent and don't run when you wet them.

I have used an older Darkroom Door splatter stamp from my collection but any background stamp will add interest. Check out the Darkroom Door range in store here.

I adore the rubber charms in this collection - they add a different texture from all the paper layers.

I have finished off my embellishing with some torn washi strips, die-cuts, stickers, flair buttons and the divine wood veneer, also from the You Rock collection.

I painted my title wood veneer in black paint for impact.

My take on Chloe's fabulous sketch... by Tania

Hi everyone, hope you are all having a lovely Saturday morning! Today I'm sharing my take on the fab sketch that our very own DT member, Chloe, created. 

I love sketches, and this one was just too cute. I have stuck to the sketch pretty much with not too many bells and whistles, just a little embellishing and voila! 

I started with a watercolour background made with Gelatos. Then cut up some of the cute Crate Paper- 'Afternoon', from the gorgeous Maggie Holmes, BLOOM collection. I love having the sketch as a guide for this paper pieced background. I gave my layout a border at top and bottom with the Dear Lizzy TUTTI FRUTTI paper. (If you wet the edge of the paper, it is alot easier to curl!) For my paper layers, I then used a mix of the Maggie Holmes BLOOM and the Dear Lizzy, HAPPY PLACE collection.  I needed a bit of something purple to match the facepaint on my daughter in the photo, so I had a watercolour paper piece in my scraps I had made with a few Dylusions spray colours. It was perfect for just a couple of pops of purple. You can see it just under my Chippy title! (Which I have had in my stash for soooo long BTW. I painted this with some Dylusions & other acrylic paints in a few different colours to get the right shade.)

To embellish my layout, I fussy cut some more of those cute butterflies from the Maggie Holmes, FLUTTER paper, and used some of the little rubber shapes. (I'm quite a fan of these!) There's a Prima word sticker on there, (these are great, as in the pack you get alpha stickers and word stickers!) Finally, I love adding enamel dots to my pages for that final pop. New Year's Eve Selfies! A layout by Tania Ballestrin

Hello lovely Scrapping Clearly followers! Today I have a layout for you inspired by this month's very gorgeous moodboard!!!!


This month I am playing with Maggie Holme's 'Bloom' Range from Crate Paper! How lucky am I!!! I started with a white cardstock background and was inspired to give the paint swipes a go. This is so easily achieved by using the Ranger paint dabbers. The paint dabber splatters, I made to mimmick the soft pink balloons in the image.
I wanted to make this layout a bit blingy, going by the gold inspiration in the image, so I added some Heidi Swapp Marquee Love tape in between the paint swipes.

I added more gold bling with the Gold foil thickers, (there's loads of extra dots in there too which you can embellish with!!!), and broke up my title with a few other alphas from my stash. I layered up my photomat, using the BLOOM papers: SWEET ROSE & MOMENTS and the HEIDI SWAPP papers from the HELLO GORGEOUS range. The butterfly embellishments were cut from the BLOOM, FLUTTER paper. (Love this, you will be seeing more of these little butterflies!!!)

I am also in love with the WASHI PAPER stickers from the BLOOM collection. The little black love heart was attatched to some cardstock to make a 3D embellishment, and I used a washi strip under the photo mat.
The little rubber shapes in the BLOOM collection are so cute, and quite chunky, so no need for mounting tape!

If you can read my journaling , you will note that I made a boo boo on this layout!!! I could have changed the photos or I could've changed the title, but then I would've wrecked a perfectly good layout, so I decided not to stress about it and have a bit of fun. I have written more journaling on the back which actually tells a bit more of a story! Scrapbooking is not meant to be stressful after all!!!

Hello again Scrappingclearly fans! I am feeling a bit proud of myself!!! Why you all ask??? Well, I scrapped a boy layout...yay!!! Now, it's not that I've never done it before, I have a very beautiful scrapworthy 10 yr old boy!!! I just don't seem to find it as easy as scrapping all the pretty stuff for a girl layout! Soooo, when my amazing Design Team kit arrived from Kylie, I challenged myself to pick out some bits first up and scrap a male layout!!! So, I'm feeling happy with my "HAPPY BOY" layout!!!! I used the gorgeous papers from Crate Paper- Maggie holmes, BLOOM collection! Gosh so many to choose from. They are all double sided, so went with the blues and greens and black and white!

On my cardstock I used some Heidi Swapp colorshine in navy, through a Heidi Swapp stencil, and flicked a few drops randomly on there too. I layered my papers and needed something a little brighter for my photo mat, so I found a piece of Teresa Collins Life Emporium paper which was perfect! (and it's on special I might add!) The Moments paper from the BLOOM collection was perfect to add a little typewriter font randomly around my layout.

There are some gorgeous washi tape stickers in the BLOOM collection, I made a small banner and used one to anchor part of my title! (Which by the way is made up of a die cut, Heidi Swapp word and some chipboard alphas from We R Memory Keepers.

Finally, I think the little rubber shapes from the BLOOM collection are adorable, (love you & happy), I have a few more in girly colours to play with, so watch this space!!!!
