Albums of Love by Tracey Thorne

This year is moving super fast and my craft storage space needed a little tidy up over the past couple of weeks... spring cleaning time which called for a photo op too.... just in time for this months Neon challenge. I do not create in bright colours nor do I really own anything that could help me with this months challenge... but I have foraged and found some old Making Memories pink paint in Hibiscus and have taken out my Faber Castell felt pens in the brights to get me over the line.... I love to challenge myself and this one is right out of my comfort zone.

I had a go last week and did not love what I had started - so instead of throwing it out I cut it up and used it on this page. I have cut out some circles using a punch. the pattern was created using black paint and then the MM Hibiscus paint through a Vicki Boutin stencil.

I have used a base of white cardstock to which I used a few Faber Castell felt pens scribbled on plastic and added a spritz of water before kissing them on to the page to create the neon background.

I have layered my photo with some cardstock and Hambly Transparency - Grid. I have then worked the circles across the page and added some white accents with a Paint pen. I have filled in a few of the gaps using an Art by Marlene stamp - mandala tapestry and a Viva Las Vegas dot stamp using Ranger Archival black ink.

I have used Jane Davenport washi planner stickers to add more to the page and create that journalling link - the story to the photo. The title was created using American Crafts Thickers - Journal & Dear Lizzy Snapshot. I have also cut up a Project Life card 'so much' to create my own label ephemera.

...and that is a wrap from me... my first neon/bright layout... I hope this has given you the courage to create your own - have a go... be brave... create memories.

have a fabulous weekend of creativity
