Family - With Karyn!

Hi Scrapping Clearly Lovelies! 

It's Karyn here today with another scrapbook page share made using lots of goodies from Scrapping Clearly. 
The photo I've used is a family selfie taken on Valentines day this year.

I love the wood look of the background page (from the Kaisercraft #Me collection) and I wanted to highlight it instead of the usual white cardstock that I like to use. I teamed it with some of the florals from the collection - they are so pretty! I've used another white paper doilie under my photo (one of my trademarks!) and some of the diecuts from the Collectible pack.

You can never have too much sparkle on your page - sequins are perfect for this.

These gold glitter arrows are perfect embellishments - I love using arrows on my pages! 

The black glitter alphas are perfect for the title - I like to place them crooked like this because I love the look and also I hate it when I try to line them up and 1 looks a bit wrong!

Documented 2015 with Melinda

Hi there! Melinda here with you today sharing another lay out I made using the awesome Simple Stories "Life in Color" range. 

I have had so much fun with all these gorgeous goodies and had a lot of fun putting together our closing page for our 2015 PL album!

I will add here that I am still playing catch up on this album, hehehe, but was so inspired when I got my package I just HAD to dive in!!

There were alot of cut apart pieces in the Collection Kit that I knew as soon as I saw them I wanted to cut apart and use as they were so I pulled out my 3 faves and went ahead and started decorating!

I have used one of the cut apart cards here along with the alpha's from the sticker sheet in the same kit and some of the other stickers from both the clear sticker pack and the regular sticker pack (both of which have got so many delish goodies I had a hard time trying to decide on the pieces to use!!). I also added some stitching in silver - there are pops of silver throughout this whole collection and let me just say, I am so NOT over gold but silver sure has found a place in my scrappy heart!!

Again, a cut apart sheet paired with stickers and also this card has some chipboard stickers on it as well :)

Oh, and you probably noticed, I added some white and silver glitter enamel shapes from my stash!

When I saw this part of one of the cut apart border sheets I may have had to wipe away the drool. I don't know what it is about it but I just ADORE it and KNEW that I would have a hard time not using it as it is! So, I needed to fill the middle pockets of my page and voila - perfect size and the sentiment couldn't have been better!! This time just one sticker and those enamel shapes.

And just a close up of the 2 left hand pockets of the 4 :)

I do try to add in photo's of all 4 of us at both the beginning of the year's album's and the end. Normally it's either all 4 of us or 1 of each of us but I found some fave's from late last year, had them printed and added a couple of stickers to each and called it done!

I am super happy with how this turned out and cannot wait to get playing with some more of these goodies - my next post "should" be a more current PL spread but I shall wait and see where my inspiration takes me ;)

Playing with Dolls - by Lisa Oxley

I've been playing with Art Dolls, again .

47 and still playing with Dolls, rad dolls, digital masterpieces and 

available for you if thats where your creative journey would like to make a pit stop . 

Mischief Circus have super rad downloads for you to print and 

play with ,to create fun funky pieces in your Journal.

Today I'm going to share with you a couple of pages I have been working on 

  Ok so this is not rocket science.I'm playing with products like  acrylic paints, mists and inks to create bold backgrounds and then sticking on my fussy cut doll(yeah i'm not a big fussy cutter) and attatching it onto my background using matt medium.More drying time and then a little posca and pencils to "Jazz Up" the page ,finishing with the stabilo magic pencil (or black water colour pencil) to make shadow and create depth.

Heres another page I've been playing with ,I started by creating an acrylic paint background using Dylusions paints and a WOW stencil, then I have used Prima Black Sand Texture Paste to create another layer and interest points at the side of my page .

I found my Art doll to cut out 

 I then cut a couple of sea horses out of a childrens book and found some serviettes that support the watery ocean theme I am looking for .I attached the torn servittes with Matt Medium and added a little Prima Acrylic paint in blue gold for a shimmery highlight.

 I then attached my mermaid and sea horses using Matt Medium

Thinking I needed a little more watery effect I added Colourblast Deep Blue Texture Paste using a circle stencil and I love the result.

I still need to add the final details to this piece with Pencil and Posca.

Like most things in my Art Journal , one could always add just a little more to the overall piece.

My World layout by Bernii Miller

Hello there Scrapping Clearly fans..

Bernii Miller here with you today to share with you a layout made with the gorgeous Pink Paislee Atlas collection. The bold and vibrant colors here just had me wanting to layers and pull out some mixed media goodies. 

I created a gesso background and used my watercolour paints between layers of stamps and papers and Atlas chipboard pieces. 

I love how this turned out and the chipboard pieces and accents were a perfect addition to the "theme" of the layout.

Scrapping Loss

Hi Scrapping Clearly friends and fans, hope all's well with you today.

I'm here today to share two projects I did using the Simple Stories 'Heart' Simple Set. This range had me digging out old photos that hadn't been scrapped due to emotional feelings of loss. Absolutely great for that push to get some really important memory pages done.

My first was a pocket page. I had so many photos and didn't really want to leave any out, since they are all slightly different and Gran is no longer with us. This format is perfect to fit in heaps without making the page look overwhelming.

I used a BellaRouge transparent alpha for my title, everything else came out of the Simple Stories kit.

My next project was a standard 12 x 12 layout. 

I did a mixed media background using Colour Blast 'Bling' paste through The Crafters Workshop mini Art Is stencil, then misted Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Navy lightly over the middle. Not fussed with this look, I took a wet wipe and spread out the Color Shine which softened it considerably and also created a nice white outline around my script paste. I then added some splats with the colour shine, this stuff has divine shimmer! So does the Colour Blast paste!

I coloured up some muslin with Tattered Angels 'Walnut Gold' Glimmer Mist and used it as a mat for my photo. I used a small Heidi Swapp Ghost frame to highlight a smaller picture, I love these because they are quite subtle due to their transparency. 

I cut the glittery ends off Heidi Swapp Decorative Glitter Tags and tucked them under each side of my pic and used a patterned paper off cut from Simple Stories pack at the bottom. PaperMate correction tape (WideLine) gave me journalling lines which I outlined to make stand out better.

I am so glad I had this Simple Stories pack to work with. I never would have chosen it myself but it gave me the opportunity to scrap some really important pages for my album. You know, I never even knew anyone had a range like this!

Who would I be? by Lauren Hender

Hi Guys.

I'm back today sharing a layout I created with the beautiful Glitz Design Carpe Diem range.

This range was so easy to work with. Each of the papers are double sided which made laying up a dream as each design coordinated perfectly.

In this layout I also used some American crafts gold thickers and those mega green dots are fabulous vintage Heidi Swapp. I have also used some more recent Heidi Swapp with the color shine banners and the perfect little bow.

All these products are available to purchase through the Scrapping Clearly store.

Celebrate '13' layout by Tania Ballestrin

Hi everyone, Tania here, sharing my very first post as part of this amazing Design Team at Scrappingclearly!!! (So very thankful to be here among some very talented ladies!!!)

I was lucky enough to be given this gorgeous Teresa Collins Paper kit- LIFE EMPORIUM, & accessories to play with! 

I used this month's sketch & chose to scrap about my daughter turning 13 years old recently. There were a few celebrations, but her favourite was spending the night in a Hotel room with myself and a couple of her friends. They drank pretend champagne with strawberries, it was very cute!!!

 I love woodgrain anything, so used that as my base pages, with a layer of Gesso & some splatters! I then layered with the sketch as a guide, using nearly every paper in the collection! I made my own tags & re-enforcement rings from the papers, rounded off the corners & popped some household string in them. 

There were so many gorgeous embellishments to compliment the range, including rub ons, chipboard & die cut stickers & brads! ( I especially love the wooden dots!!!) 

The alphas by We R Memory Keepers were pretty cool, with a kind of reptile leather look!!! 

I used a tab punch & made another tag for my hidden journaling, with a little flower rub on to embellish!

There is still so much of the kit left to play with, so I will have fun seeing what else I can create with it! Don't forget to check out the march sketch and play along! Till next time, happy scrapping!!!
