Image Transfers

It would be an under statement to say all of us who watched Leanne Jago's live video class on image transfers over the cyba crop weekend are maybe a tad addicted!!!!

WOWEEE it is soooo much fun. I will confess though I love the excitement of the reveal to see if it worked or not more than dressing them up after.

Here are some of my creations since Leanne created all us little Jago monsters.

Good magazines, here are some examples of what to look for.
The womens weekly has an Icon series that works brillantly if you can find them. They are up to number 3.

This one is my favourite.

I have had a couple not work but I have looked at them again and reworked them.

So I liked this mistake as a starting layer, so I put another one over the top. Love the retro feel of this.
I found some old stickers that suited this to a tee.

Even though I used the same magazine the paper was a different substrait, very textured in the Dina Wakely journal. Now I am not a drawer but I thought I could use the transfer as a bit of a guide and draw her in.

I didn't even attempt the eyes I used the Jane Davenport washi tape for them.
She is a little wonky and funky but I enjoyed doing it for a change and a challenge to step out of my comfort zone.

This one I did straight on to a music sheet, I did find it very fragile and hard to peel off without damaging the underlying paper.

The rubons wouldn't stick but in the end I found that distress look exactly what it needed.

I have used some posca paint pens to add colour into the stencilled background.

The one below was a failed transfer but I just went over it with some Dina Wakely tissue, gel print paper, rub ons and stamps.
