Explore, by Amanda Hartmann

Hi everyone!

I have some travel photos to scrap right now - so it seems like a good time to channel Aida Domisiewicz. I channeled her grungy style, and scraplifted one of her designs. Perfect for our Scraplift challenge at the Virtual Cybercrop.

So many layers and messy paint bits!

Here is the full page and some close ups....

I raided my stash of papers for this page - starting with a neutral colour, dark brown and some orange.

For the background, I collaged some old book paper with Matte medium. I then swiped White Gesso on the page.

First layers of painting colour were done with: watered down Dina Wakley Acrylic Paint in Sedona and then Dylusions Ink Spray in Ground Coffee applied with a wet brush.

Then I stacked the photo with papers - all collected from my stash - and including book paper, pianola roll (from my buddy Tracey Thorne). I also painted and fussy cut some travel themed pieces to tuck in. I stuck the photo stack down.

Then I added more colour and details around the photo stack.

I added mica flakes seed beads and sequins - sticking these to the page with Glossy Accents. I also sprinkled Colour Blast Embossing Powder in Sienna (copper) and heat set this in the bead clusters for extra texture.

I finished with lots of splatters - of Leather and Sienna (copper) shimmer sprays.

Butterfly, gold thread and words used to finish the page too!

Thanks for looking today! A beautiful grungy page!

Amanda
