WK29 2016 with Melinda

Hey there ScrappingClearly friends, Melinda here with you today sharing my latest DT project!

Today I have a PL spread to share but before I do have this photo to share with you!

Can you guess what that is?! That is all I have left of my 6x6 paper pad from the Teresa Collins Something Wonderful range! Does it excite anyone else to get this far through a paper pad?!

Anyways, onto the details of our Week 29 for 2016.

Here is the front of the spread

And the back

As you can see I have used lots of the different patterned papers for my cards - I do love to use 6x6 pads for exactly that reason BUT I find myself with a stack of 2x6  strips that I am never sure what to do with! I totally lifted this idea from another very talented PL scrapper Angus K - so a big thank you for the idea!!

You can see here I have just stuck together 2 of the 2x6 strips of paper (using the "branding" strip as the joiner) together to create my 4x6 cards and I so super love this look!! And it's SUPER easy using a paper pad because all of the designs work together!

You will also notice, this is not the best photo, it is quiet blurry but the only photo I got of myself and my boys at the movies so I turned it black and white and the quality is good enough ;)

Here are a few more close ups!

I had enough of the full 6x6 papers left that I was able to also cut 3 4x6 cards from one paper which I think gives a nice balance.

All of those 3x4 cards, know what they are?! They are from the same collection but they are the Ephemera Tags! I have simply chopped them down to size and decorated and journalled on them the same way I would with another 3x4 card. AND using the tags this way means I have extra "ephemera" pieces which you can see in a couple of the close ups above!

I have also used some of the washi tape, enamel dots, decorative buttons, ephemera pieces, word stickers and chipboard elements from the same collection to do a little decorating (AND lots of those pieces are currently ON SALE in the shop right now!!). I added in a little stamping using these stamps from the Heidi Swapp Magnolia Jane collection and finished off with some machine stitching and thickers from my stash!

I hope you have enjoyed this post and that perhaps you now have a different way to use up those left over 6x6 pattern paper bits!!

Until next time, happy scrapping!

Travelers notebook & a little something more by Lauren Hender

Hi Everyone!
A big welcome back to the Scrapping Clearly blog.
Today I am sharing with you a couple of projects that highlights a little my new found love of travelers notebooks and planning.

The Scrapping Clearly store at the moment is bursting at the seams with beautiful planner and TN products and just today I heard that the new Kaiser planner collection has just arrived in store.

Firstly, I wanted to share how I prep my monthly calendar inserts for by TN. It is super quick and easy to beautify them up provided you have some coordinating stickers and washi tape to help you along.

As you can see here I have used simple layering techniques to enhance this page. The flower clusters poking out off the wall or at the bottom of the page give the feeling that the page is bigger than it really is. The washi tape strips are super handy and add non bulky features to your pages.

For my July monthly planner and and the TN featured below I have used mainly Heidi Swapp products. Check them out here:

Now time for some TN fun..
These couple of layouts were quick and easy to create. I think for me that is what draws me to TN's. Sometimes while scrapping you are left with odd photos and left over scraps of paper. I have used these in my TN's to not be wasteful and enjoy using the little important photos I have laying around.
Am I selling you on the whole TN thing yet? Oh I hope so. I know you will love it.

Just a simple title page to welcome me to my TN.

Using a dog clip I have clipped some stickers and washi tape strips to the cover of the book. Making them easily on hand for that spontaneous creating.

Remember it doesn't have to be detailed. Just make them simple and stress free.

I hope my projects have inspired you to have a go with a TN or just to pull out your planners and enjoy decorating them.

Take Care.

Embellishments made easy with Tania

Hi again lovely Scrappingclearly Community. I had a bit of fun with the moodboard for this post. In all honesty, this week, I have been struggling for craft time due to family visiting from down South, it's kind of hard to get the mojo flowing too when there's a house full of people.
The moodboard this month is so bright and happy and I found the perfect solution to my time poor, mojo poor problem. In my stash from Scrappingclearly, I have a few ephemera packs with bits left over from other projects. The Dear Lizzy, HAPPY PLACE, die cut pack had the perfect colours.
Here's the moodboard:

I started with some scraps from some Maggie Holmes - BLOOM papers and made a few small tags.

Then with my Dear Lizzy, Happy Place, die cut pack, I picked a few matching die cuts and layered them up on my tags! I used mounting tape to add some of the layers for extra dimension!

They were finished off with a few different colours of twine from my stash and a cute little peg from American Crafts!

So now I  have some quick and easy embellishments for my next layout, or they would even make great card toppers!! Be sure to stay tuned to the blog and see how I use these embellishments on my next project!!!
Happy crafting!
Tania

You Go Girl - With Karyn Schultz!

Hi Scrapping Clearly Lovelies!!!

It's Karyn here and today I have a scrapbook page to share with you made using lots of Heidi Swapp products available in the  Scrapping Clearly Store.
I've started with a sheet of white cardstock and added a strip of Magnolia Jane patterned paper. I added a strip of the MJ gold washi along the edge of the patterned paper and the black and white striped washi along the edge of the white cardstock. I painted some gold Color Shine on the alphas I wanted to use for my title. And I sprayed some of the Color Magic paper goods to use as embellishments.
I've also added some torn washi in this corner. I've kept this page black, white and gold - a simple yet classy combination!
A simple tag and cluster around my photo kept this page stylish.
I dipped the ends of the twine from the tag into the gold color shine and left to dry. Lastly I spattered gold and black Color Shine across my page.
Scrapping Clearly products I've used include

Cardstock
Heidi Swapp Magnolia Jane collection (12x12 paper pad, tags, washi)
Heidi Swapp Mixed company collection (ephemera)
Heidi Swapp Gold ColorShine
Heidi Swapp Black ColorShine
Heidi Swapp Color Magic Paper Goods
Heidi Swapp Color Magic Resist Striped Alphas

Thanks so much for stopping by
