Underneath my photo I've used ephemera from the Pink Paislee Moonstruck collection, a Pineapple paperclip from the Heidi Swapp Pineapple Crush collection, and Heidi Swapp puffy stickers. I've also added flair, gold thread and paper flowers from my stash.

Project life spread- Fun Snaps

Hello there ScrappingClearly fans,

Amy here with you today with a project life spread with a twist- a fuse sleeve twist. I have used a mix of the Heidi Swapp Magnolia Jane collection and Shimelle starshine collection.

I first up cut up some of the starshine patterned papers to create my own project life cards. Once I embelllished these I moved onto my photos. I embellished my photos using some pieces from starshine and Magnolia Jane, as well as writing on them with my uniball white pen.

To finish up I added a fuse sleeve to the back of the page protector using my WRMK fuse tool. This is to keep a flower crown given out at this event safe for the future.

August sketch inspiration- My Girl

Hi ScrappingClearly fans,

Its my turn to share some scrappy inspiration to get us started in August. Here is my take on the great sketch challenge for this month. I have used lots of Heidi Swapp goodies to do this page, some from the Magnolia Jane collection.
There were so many lovely papers I couldn't decide which to use to document these gorgeous photos of my little Miss. But I went with the watercolor paper to give the splattered paint look that is in the background of the sketch. I matted the paper onto the black and white geometric patterned paper to give the pink paper a subtle lift.

It took a little (maybe a lot) of fussing around to get the key elements of the sketch just right, but once I did then it was a matter of embellishing the page and done.
I think this is a beautiful and elegant girl layout, thanks to the lovely Magnolia Jane collection which is available in the ScrappingClearly store.

Wonderful Me- Art journal page

Hello Scrapping Clearly fans,

It is my turn on the blog today with an art journal page using some lovely goodies from the Scrapping clearly shop.

I have done a double page spread with this, using a a stencil and dylusions paint in fuchsia for my background. I then went around the stencil outline with some blue paint just to make the purple pop more and to give that sky coloured look, as my photo is of me getting out for a nice arvo walk.

I have fussy cut the black and white flowers from a Heidi Swapp Magnolia Jane 12x12 paper and the yellow flowers are from the Shimelle starshine Mercury patterned paper.Again I am going for that outdoors but lovely look to these pages.

The red flower washi tape is also from Shimelle and the gold and dark flower washi's are from a Heidi Swapp pack in the Magnolia Jane collection, I wanted the washi tapes to be part of the embellishing of the page and to give a different texture and feel to the pages; the florals also match what I was trying to convey in this project.
I used some off cuts of some Magnolia Jane paper to make the thin strips and the quote piece is from the Shimelle Starshine cut apart paper Astro.

Thanks for looking and don't forget to pop over to the Scrapping Clearly you tube channel to see a process video for this art journal page.
See you soon and happy scrapping
Amy

So Lucky - Skai Mitchell

Cheers to the weekend!

Im just popping in to share my take on this months sketch challenge. I love sketches when Im feeling stuck for inspiration and DT Peg always creates interesting sketches to work with. Ive gone very simple and flat for this layout, a bit of a break from my usual layered and chunky pieces, but im happy with the end result.

Ive started with a piece of Brick patterned paper from the Magnolia Jane collection from Heidi Swapp. Ive swiped some Dina Wakley Black Gesso onto the background with a old credit card.

Next Ive back my photo with Raven Cardstock and some tracing paper. Using my sewing machine, Ive messy stitched around the photo and onto my page.

Ive used some of the Magnolia Jane washi tape to go under my Heidi Swapp Ghost Alpha's and the 'Lucky' from the Heidi Swapp Wood Words. Add to it a bit of chipboard sprayed with some Dylusions White Linen and some dymo labelling and you have one simple, but effective page...

Dont forget to link up your entries to the Facebook

Love and light...

You Go Girl - With Karyn Schultz!

Hi Scrapping Clearly Lovelies!!!

It's Karyn here and today I have a scrapbook page to share with you made using lots of Heidi Swapp products available in the  Scrapping Clearly Store.
I've started with a sheet of white cardstock and added a strip of Magnolia Jane patterned paper. I added a strip of the MJ gold washi along the edge of the patterned paper and the black and white striped washi along the edge of the white cardstock. I painted some gold Color Shine on the alphas I wanted to use for my title. And I sprayed some of the Color Magic paper goods to use as embellishments.
I've also added some torn washi in this corner. I've kept this page black, white and gold - a simple yet classy combination!
A simple tag and cluster around my photo kept this page stylish.
I dipped the ends of the twine from the tag into the gold color shine and left to dry. Lastly I spattered gold and black Color Shine across my page.
Scrapping Clearly products I've used include

Cardstock
Heidi Swapp Magnolia Jane collection (12x12 paper pad, tags, washi)
Heidi Swapp Mixed company collection (ephemera)
Heidi Swapp Gold ColorShine
Heidi Swapp Black ColorShine

Thankful - June Mood Board by Skai Mitchell

Half the year is almost over!

Can you believe we are almost in July already? This year is flying by, and I'm just hanging on for the ride. With only a few days of the month left I'm popping in to share my take on the mood board featuring the gorgeous Magnolia Jane Collection from Heidi Swapp and some of the awesome new Distress Oxide Ink from Tim Holtz.

To create this background I started off with some Marshmallow Heavy Weight cardstock. If you haven't already tried this, you NEED it in your scrapping stash. Its a heavy duty mixed media cardstock that can take a tonne of medium, and not buckle and bend.

I used the new Tim Holtz Distress Oxides in Broken China and Vintage Photo. I swiped each one of them directly onto my Heidi Swapp – Silicone Kraft Mat and lightly sprayed with water. I turned my page upside down and 'smooshed' it directly onto the cardstock. When it dries it gives this super cool rusty effect. I'm defiantly investing in the whole set of these babies!

For my layout and embellishing, I've used a whole heap of the new Magnolia Jane collection from Heidi Swapp. I just adore this collection, from the soft pinks and blushes, to the striking gold details..... elegant and timeless!

Star - With Karyn Schultz!

Hi Scrapping Clearly Lovelies!!!

It's Karyn here and today I have a scrapbook page to share with you made using lots of Heidi Swapp products available in the  Scrapping Clearly Store.
I started by layering some Magnolia Jane papers down the centre of some white cardstock. Then I created a mat for my photos. I sprayed a pressed paper frame with gold ColorShine and left to dry. These frames are quite think and take a lot of spray so they take a while to dry - overnight is best. I then cut the frame in half and attached to each side of my photos.
I added lots of elements from the ephemera pack around my photos and across the page. I used staples to attach the acetate and velum elements.
Some paper flowers and word stickers from my stash were perfect to finish the page. Lastly I spattered some Gold ColorShine across my page.
Scrapping Clearly products I've used include

Cardstock
Heidi Swapp Magnolia Jane collection (12x12 paper pad)
Heidi Swapp Mixed company collection (ephemera)
Heidi Swapp Gold ColorShine
Pink Paislee Cedar Lane Love Arrows
Heidi Swapp Color Magic Pressed Paper Frames
American crafts jumbo paper clip
Tiny Attacher
