‘Shine On’

Happy Friday!

Today I have a layout using an 8 x 12 format – yes, something different today.
The photo here is of my youngest, Samuel, who is an avid swimmer – he used his pocket money and bought himself a pair of Michael Phelps – American Swimming Icon – branded goggles and a special swim cap, to wear for his races.

I wanted to keep this page simple. After I trimmed some white cardstock down, I splattered the page with Dina Wakley Media Heavy Body Acrylic Paint in ‘Night’ and ‘Blushing’ – mixed with water.
Once dried, I set to work on layering my patterned papers on the page from the gorgeous Pink Fresh Studio, using the ‘Escape the Ordinary’ collection.

These papers are perfect for both this photo and my other masculine pages.

Behind the layered patterned papers, I inked a D-Lish Scraps Paper Doily with Dina Wakley – Cheddar paint and sprinkled it with ColourBlast Shimmer Spray in ‘Bling’.

Once the photo was mounted, I put my title together. For the layers here, I have used Cocoa Vanilla Enamel dots and Studio Calico Essentials - stars and wood veneer printed corners.

I have also used a strip of hessian and black thread from my stash and trimmed strips of Pink Fresh Studio papers, again, from the ‘Escape the Ordinary’ collection.

These colours were perfect to match the photo of Samuel with his shiny new goggles.

Thank you for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Amy 😊

Rock It - With Karyn Schultz!

Hi Scrapping Clearly Lovelies!

It's Karyn here,
and today I have a scrapbook page to share with you made with lots of papers and embellishments from the Pink Fresh Studio "Escape the Ordinary" collection - all available in the Scrapping Clearly Store. This is the 6th page I've made using this collection - and I've still got enough for 1 or 2 more :)

I started with a sheet of white cardstock and added strips of the Transform paper along the top and bottom edges as shown. Next I matted my photo over a white paper doily and more offcuts from the papers in the collection. Then I used gold wood veneers to create titles in the top left and bottom right corners.

Next I added a variety of the chipboard stickers across my page - I love the watercolour look of these flowers.

Lastly I added some splatters of black and gold Heidi Swapp Color Shine across my page, a stamped date and hand written journalling.

A pretty quick and easy page, perfect for when you don't have much time to create.
Another story told.

Thanks so much for stopping by

2018 Goals - A Scrapbook Page by Karyn Schultz!

Hi Scrapping Clearly Lovelies!!!

It's Karyn here,
and today I have another scrapbook page to share with you
made using the Pink Fresh Studio "Escape the ordinary" collection
available in the Scrapping Clearly Store.

I started with a sheet of white cardstock and I added some Lindy's Moon Shadow Mist "Tawny Turquoise"
first using a 'painting with plastic' technique then I added some splatters.

Once this was dry I added a white paper doily under my photo and layered it
with a strip of Transform paper from the "Escape the ordinary" collection
along with 2 cards cut from the Search paper.

Across the page, I added other elements cut from the Search paper
as well as stitched hearts and some sequins.

with BoBunny gold glitter paste and also added them to my page.

I created my title using gold wood veneers. I added strips cut from the Search and Wander papers
along the bottom, then I journalled around the edge of the page with my goals for 2018!

The Lindy's Moon Shadow Mist "Tawny Turquoise" is a really interesting colour
- it appears as a vintage brown colour but has a lovely turquoise shimmer when it dries
- it is hard to photograph but is gorgeous in real life :)

Keep It Simple by Lauren Hender

Hello Everyone!!
Welcome back to the Scrapping Clearly blog.
I'm a little bit excited to share with you my layout today as it isn't my usual style.

Recently I have had to have a think about my life and where I can maximise time. At first I thought this was an impossible task and feel that I am a really efficient person in general (don't as the hubby! lol)
But I decided to have a think about it and came up with a few ideas.
In relation to scrapbooking and craft my idea was to make it simple!
So here it is my first super quick and easy layout...

One surprise I found was that I got the same amount of joy out of this layout as I did with any of my usual more detailed layouts.
So my new focus going into 2018 when scrapbooking is don't not do it because you don't have enough time but just keep it simple!
KEEP IT SIMPLE

This Escape the Ordinary collection by Pink Fresh helped me enormously with this beautiful background piece and sticker accents. I just love it and it is perfect for scrapping our boys.

Escape the Ordinary can be found HERE in the Scrapping Clearly store.

The quick and easy part involves these few steps:
1. Layer your photo
2. Back with tags
3.Add title & stickers
4. Add Journaling
5. Add ink splats
DONE!

Wahoo! Loving that... lol

What do you think of the We R Memory Keepers hole reinforcer punch?
Found HERE in the Scrapping Clearly store.

Not only does it create a great effect as an embellishment it is also a wonderful tool to have in planner goodies box.

Thanks for stopping by. Any questions leave in the comments and I will pop back and answer them.
Hope you week is wonderful.
