12x12 layout- New scooter time.

Hey ScrappingClearly fans,

Amy here back with a new layout share for you, documenting my sons new fancy scooter. I have used lots of Shimelle starshine goodies in this layout, all of which can be found in the ScrappingClearly store and I will provide the product links at the bottom of this post. There is also a process video over on the Scrappingclearly channel, so pop over and check it out (link at the bottom).

I started my layout with the idea of the different strips of paper at the bottom to form a border type thing and to add some interest to the layout. These strips are all from starshine patterned papers.

I then used some more of the starshine patterned paper to matte my photo and also add a layer of fun and bright colours under to make the photo really pop out (the balloon print).

I have then used pieces from starshine cut apart sheets to use as die cuts around the page, then used other pieces (stickers, flairs, clips) to embellish the layout.

And finally a mix of gold American Crafts thickers and WRMK thickers to create my title and this layout is done.
I will link all the products I have used below.
Until next time happy scrapping.

Project life spread- Fun Snaps

Hello there ScrappingClearly fans,

Amy here with you today with a project life spread with a twist- a fuse sleeve twist. I have used a mix of the Heidi Swapp Magnolia Jane collection and Shimelle starshine collection.

I first up cut up some of the starshine patterned papers to create my own project life cards. Once I embelllished these I moved onto my photos. I embellished my photos using some pieces from starshine and Magnolia Jane, as well as writing on them with my uniball white pen.

To finish up I added a fuse sleeve to the back of the page protector using my WRMK fuse tool. This is to keep a flower crown given out at this event safe for the future.

August sketch inspiration- My Girl

Hi ScrappingClearly fans,

Its my turn to share some scrappy inspiration to get us started in August. Here is my take on the great sketch challenge for this month. I have used lots of Heidi Swapp goodies to do this page, some from the Magnolia Jane collection.
There were so many lovely papers I couldn't decide which to use to document these gorgeous photos of my little Miss. But I went with the watercolor paper to give the splattered paint look that is in the background of the sketch. I matted the paper onto the black and white geometric patterned paper to give the pink paper a subtle lift.

It took a little (maybe a lot) of fussing around to get the key elements of the sketch just right, but once I did then it was a matter of embellishing the page and done.
I think this is a beautiful and elegant girl layout, thanks to the lovely Magnolia Jane collection which is available in the ScrappingClearly store.

Also pop over to the ScrappingClearly YouTube channel to see a process video.

Wonderful Me- Art journal page

Hello Scrapping Clearly fans,

It is my turn on the blog today with an art journal page using some lovely goodies from the Scrapping clearly shop.

I have done a double page spread with this, using a a stencil and dylusions paint in fuchsia for my background. I then went around the stencil outline with some blue paint just to make the purple pop more and to give that sky coloured look, as my photo is of me getting out for a nice arvo walk.

I have fussy cut the black and white flowers from a Heidi Swapp Magnolia Jane 12x12 paper and the yellow flowers are from the Shimelle starshine Mercury patterned paper.Again I am going for that outdoors but lovely look to these pages.

The red flower washi tape is also from Shimelle and the gold and dark flower washi's are from a Heidi Swapp pack in the Magnolia Jane collection, I wanted the washi tapes to be part of the embellishing of the page and to give a different texture and feel to the pages; the florals also match what I was trying to convey in this project.
I used some off cuts of some Magnolia Jane paper to make the thin strips and the quote piece is from the Shimelle Starshine cut apart paper Astro.

Thanks for looking and don't forget to pop over to the Scrapping Clearly you tube channel to see a process video for this art journal page.
See you soon and happy scrapping
Amy

Road Trip- PL spread

Hello again ScrappingClearly fans,

Amy. L here with you sharing a project life spread I did documenting a family road trip. For this spread I have mainly used papers and ephemera from the Shimelle starshine collection. I thought this collection was a great choice as it is about going on adventures and exploring, which is a little what we did on this road trip.

I made my own PL cards using the various patterned papers in the collection (links to the exact ones is below). I also used the two cut apart sheets to make filler cards and embellish the spread. I tried to use the various colours in the photos to guide my design and choices for this spread.
To embellish further I used the Shimelle buttons, sticker book, decorative tape and epoxy paper clips. The wood veneer and gold washi is from Heidi Swapp.
My title was made using the We R memory keepers 'Indian Summer' chipboard alphabet stickers.

I hope you like this spread and remember to check out the SC youtube channel for the process video for this.

See you soon
Amy.L

Hello from your new DT member

Hello ScrappingClearly fans,
I am very excited to announce that I am going to be joining the design team as of today! I am super keen to share my crafty projects with you and will be doing so each week through the blog and also the ScrappingClearly you tube channel
(link here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZLUHo64RfIxlAlIBA-VJXw ), if you haven't subscribed already pop on over and do so that way you wont miss out on the scrappy fun.

I am also here to share my first DT layout, which I used the June sketch to create with.

I have used the Cocoa Vanilla Studio 'You Rock' collection to create this layout First up I used the ' In Line' patterned paper as my background and used the packaging technique with the cracked pistachio distress stain to give the pattern in the background. I then used some blue acrylic paint I had in my stash to create the circular swirl patterns in the middle and the bottom and top corners. The embellishments are the You Rock die cut pack and I used the Heidi Swapp colour shine in Mint to add some splatters across the page. Finally the layout was matted to a piece of green cardstock from in my stash just to make the layout pop and give it some stability after using all the mixed media.

Here are the links to the products I used from the ScrappingClearly shop:
