3 Legged Race- Scrapbook Page by Tania

Hi Scrappingclearly Community, hope you are all enjoying our challenges this month. You've still got a few days left to upload them over on our FB Community Page.
Today, I'm sharing with you, my take on the moodboard by Peg!!! In fact, I think my layout is a little Peg inspired actually!!! The moodboard was just begging for some Mixed Media Action!!!

I have some great new products from the store! My kit had some awesome Products from Vicki Boutin, read about them here! (And see them in the shop here:). (Just perfect for my Mixed Media background!)

I started with a page from my Chickaniddy 365 collection- Weekend Wonder. (On special in the store.) Then, on some white cardstock, I used one of the gorgeous, Heidi Swapp screen prints with some of her Black, Art Screen Ink. OMG...the combination of these two products was enough to get the creative juices flowing. This stuff, not only has a lovely sparkle and shine to it, but it also has a rough, sandpaper-like texture to it aswell. I love it!!! The screen prints are slightly different to stencils, work almost the same, but have the added bonus of a sticky back so they don't slip when adding colour to your project!!!

When that was dry, I added a layer of spray ink with Dylusions, let it dry and using some Dusty Attic stencils & a circle stencil, I used the Vicki Boutin, Art Crayons #3, by drawing inside the stencil first with the crayon, and then adding a smidge of water with my finger to blend them. They work similar to Gelatos. They are a water soluble, oil pastel, and can be used wet or dry. i love them, they are thick and creamy.

Building my layers, I added some black, background stamping with a Kaisercraft stamp, a script stamp and then some washi tape, and some more papers from the Chickaniddy 365 range. There's a tag from the Teresa Collins, Something Wonderful collection, some twine and a cute flair from my stash.
I flicked some black Dylusions spray ink on the top and bottom corners, and then used the cute striped alpha stickers from Chickaniddy 365.

And here's the final result! Complete with some painted, black wood veneer from Studio Calico!

I hope I've inspired you to have a play with a mixed media background for this challenge, but would love to see your projects, no matter what style you prefer!!! Happy scrapping!!!

More Travel themed pages with Tania

Hi all, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! 2017, WOW!! Let's hope it's a fantastic one for us all!
Today I'm sharing a couple more pages in my Heidi Swapp travel themed book. I shared my first page with you last month, you can see it here

I have been playing with the Chickaniddy 365 paper range, and used some off cuts and cut outs for my pages. I've also used the Heidi Swapp washi tape stickers &  sheer stickers  from her Memory Planner range & her September Skies word jumble stickers

I am quite in love with this way of memory keeping! It means I can document bits and pieces of my holiday, with no stress, limited products and it takes no time at all to put a spread together. The books come in different themes too. But this one is versatile, the pages are still a blank waiting for you to record your memories as you wish! I hope you like!!!

Cards inspired by the Moodboard! By Tania...

Well hello again! I sure hope you all had a wonderful Christmas celebration wherever you were! I had a very quiet Christmas, and was not well, so lucky for me, we had planned on a quiet one! I have had a little mojo here and there to help me feel better. This time I've made some cards for you, based on inspiration from the colours of this month's moodboard! Which is here:

What a gorgeous moodboard, don't you think? You still have a few days left to play along ;)
So here's my cards, using mainly the Pink Paislee, C'est La Vie collection.

There are also some papers from the Chickaniddy 365 collection.

The C'est La Vie printed acetate is gorgeous! This floral one was perfect for a card front, I backed it with some plain patterned paper.

Don't you love these cute little bows from Maggie Homes & Crate paper? This one made the perfect final addition to the C'est La Vie ephemera.

This card I've made for my daughter's upcoming birthday next month. I finished it off with a gold tag from the ephemera pack and a Heidi Swapp, gold, acetate word.

This one has a touch of Heidi Swapp Wanderlust, lace, and a little Studio Calico wood veneer arrow.

I placed some mounting tape underneath the banner ends to make them pop off the paper.

I made an extra card using up some left overs from a previous Design Team kit, which was the Maggie Holmes Bloom range. I used a stencil from The Crafters Workshop from the Scrappingclearly store, and coloured some texture paste. That gold foil vellum has gone a long way, I just love it!

Well, I hope I've inspired you to give the moodboard a go. If you don't have time to scrapbook, you can always make up a few cards, which will always come in handy!
Till next time!
