{creating in my altered journal}

Hello to all our Sunday readers - its a glorious sunny day here in my part of the world so I decided to spend some time in the sun and played with some paint in my altered book I love the brightness and texture to this page. I started this page a few weeks ago and just didn't get to finish it so today I did!

I prepared the page with some gesso just lightly has I really like the effect the gives when it shows through.

I began with cool colours blues and green with a touch of yellow and randomly over the background using a brush and a sponge for different stroke textures. I focused on the deep blues around the edges of the art journal.

Once this was dry I drew a semi circle almost like the sun or the moon painted with my warms orange and magenta and those who know me of course who can resist fluorescent pink.

Using the magic Stabilo pencil which Scrappingclearly stocks singly or by a box of 25 if you use them like butter like me..........draw around the circle shape and water in with a brush I use my finger!

I have stamped with Black archival ink and one of Dina Wakley'sool script stamps around the circle randomly. Using black paint and a foamy stamp I have stamped inside the circle.
Using a Moroccan stencil and some white acrylic paint I have stencilled on small sections again randomly over the page.

The fun stuff is to then create some more dimension and to do this I have used some of my Gelli Plate creations from my stash and simply just used random size circle punches to punch out circles, the fun part about this is each circle is totally different and the colours and contrasts look really cool. Layered each circle up and adhered down to the page. I added some eyes for a focal point the Jane Davenport Washi Faces would be cool to use here.

Final and simple touches are to added with marks such as outlines, frames and dots to the circles and also to the stamping in the circle using a white pen and silver paint pens I have used my favourite Liquitex paint markers.

Hope you love my page as much as I do.....

Thanks for stopping by enjoy your long weekend and if your a league Fan
GO THE STORM..........
