Living the dream by Tracey B

Hi everyone, back again for happy crafting Tuesday

This layout was totally inspired by these gorgeous rub-ons by 49 & Market

I added some Neo Color II for the background (Salmon, Rose & Sepia) by scribbling onto my messy mat, spritzing with water and using the packaging technique.

I added some luscious Nuvo Embellishment Mousse (Cafe Latte) through a stencil.

With the background drying, I thought about my photo.   It was every so slightly smaller than the frame so I looked for some paper to mat it onto and came across some paper Kyle has used to pretty up a delivery.   The colour was perfect so not only matted my photo but  die cut some flowers as well.

I used a heap (for me) of Cocoa Vanilla Unforgettable ephemera, colouring with my Neos anything that was too white.

I added some Glossy Accents to my title to give it a bit of shine.

I added some Amy Tangerine enamel shapes, ribbon and muslin and a little Posca pen on some embellishments.

here's the finished product.

TFL

cheers

Om by Tracey B

 Hi everyone

It's another month and that means another gorgeous moodboard.

It's time to bring out your pastels

I started with my go to white card stock and some Neo Color II crayons.

I scribbled pourpre & rose onto my messy mat until I got a colour I was happy with and then gave them a spritz with water and used the packaging technique to transfer the colour to the page.

I scribbled some yellow crayon onto my mat and mixed it with some impasto gel and then added it through a stencil.

I diecut some paper using a die from my stash.   I don't remember what brand - possibly Sizzix

and then added a few embellishments and a title.

I love the fact Paddy & Del went to Art Vo this year as I've got lots of quirking photos to work with.   Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

Products I used include

Neo Color II crayons

Stencil Girl stencil

metal die

Heidi Swapp Glitter enamel shape

Teresa Collins Something Wonderful chipboard

Cocoa Vanilla Unforgettable ephemera

Heidi Swapp Flocked acetate

Pink Paislee patterned paper - Squeeze.

This month's moodboard (with a couple of additions) is also a challenge for the Easter Cyber Crop and the same work can be used for both.   Yeah!

I did another LO for the crop though and here it is,

happy crafting

cheers

Don't look back

Hi everyone

This is my first ever attempt at an art journal page.   I've used a new ART INC journal which I think are a perfect size.   Inspired by this month's mood board, this is what I came up with.

I started by collaging on some random bits and pieces of paper using some gel medium.   I also wrote some thoughts on the background.   This wasn't meant to be legible, more as therapy as I knew I was going to cover them up.

I then scribbled on some Neocolor II crayons and activated them with a wet paint brush.

I then added a layer of gesso using a brayer (wiping some off with a baby wipe as I went along).

Then some acrylic paint, sometimes using my finger, sometimes some bubble wrap

Then my focal image and some doodling with a few Posca pens.

Plenty of time to create something inspired by this month's moodboard.   Looking forward to seeing what you create,

cheers

The Dream is Real

Hi everyone

Back with another LO inspired by this month's mood board.   Don't you just love this colour combo?

I started with my go to white card stock and smooshed some silver Faber Castle Texture Luxe paste through a Dark Room Door Polka Dots stencil using a palette knife.   I then scribbled on my messy mat some Neo Color II wax pastels in white and emerald green and a little green gelato, spritzed them with water and blended together until I was happy with the shade and then just roughly painted them on using a round brush.   I also added a little gelato in guava for a bit more interest.

I created a photo mat using some Pink Paislee patterned papers and blended the edges with some Distress ink.   I used a black Posca pen to colour in the yellow on a Heidi Swapp chipboard sticker (need to go back in and touch this up & then wait until it's dry before I touch it!) and some chipboard from my stash.    I used Dear Lizzy diecut words for my title and a couple of American Crafts chipboard pieces cutting the flower in two.   A few splatters of Colour Blast spray in Roadbase, some Dusty Attic bling and Cocoa Vanilla enamel dots and I was done.

Hope you've been inspired.   Plenty of time to enter the challenge.   Looking forward to seeing what you create.
