'Very Bunny'

Hi there Scrapping Clearly fans!

It's Amy here, and today I have a scrapbook page to share with you that I made using lots of goodies from the store. 

I created this page during the Easter Cybercrop Challenge last month. The photo is of my first attempt at making homemade hot cross buns - and they were delicious!

To make this page I started with white cardstock and - over a dotted Kaisercraft stencil - I sprayed Dylusions spray in 'Crushed Grape'. 

I then applied Dina Wakley paint in 'Blackberry' - and Prima Art Alchemy acrylic paint in 'Metallique Gold Rush'. 

Next, with modeling paste, I used the The Crafter's Workshop mini 'Cell Theory' stencil, from the store over the dried paint.

Once completely dried, I added splatters of Dylusions Shimmer Spray in 'Crushed Grape'. Using black Gesso, I painted circles randomly with a plastic lid from my stash.

Once the background was dried again, it was time to apply layers and embellish this gorgeous page. I used various papers from the store: Pink Fresh Studio - Escape the Ordinary; Shimelle / American Craft - Box of Crayons; and I inked a Heidi Swapp tag.

Seeing as this page has many layers behind the photo, there was little embellishment required.

However, to complete the page, I placed a white flower with a Cocoa Vanilla Studio Bitty Bloom over a Charms Creations Map Marker. 

I didn't have purple thread in my stash, so I sprayed white thread with some moreof the gorgeous Dylusions 'Crushed Grape' from the store. The purple mesh here is left over vegetable packaging!

Finally, for the title, I used American Crafts Thickers and Pink Fresh Studio Alpha's.

Journal play made easy

Hi Peeps,

I would just like to give a big thank you to the artists out there that are making their art available for us, with lesser drawing skills, to use in our art journals.

It makes it easier for me to get started on a page if I have an image that inspires me. Here are some of those pages with the help of Dina Wakley and Marlene Meijer-van Niekerk (AKA art by Marlene)

I will mix and match pieces from both artist too to make up my own collage page.
White 6x6 journal by Dina Wakley.

For instance the circles and birds are from Dina Wakley's Collage collective and the flowers are from Art by Marlene collage papers.

I did an acrylic paint background and then added some white paint over the top and removed some of with a wet wipe through a stencil. Dry it off and then glue your collage images on with some matt gel medium.

The Dina Wakley collage paper faces are awesome to work with.

The word packs one and two are a must for your quotes.

When your page is dry don't forget to go back in with your black fude ball pen and add some marks and scribbles.

Puppy love

A new month calls for another amazing Moodboard... fabulous Autumn/winter colours are abundant in this moodboard as well as the awesome picture prompts ...

here is my take ... I have taken inspiration from my adorable pooch Peppa...

I've opted to use Kraft cardstock with this layout. First port of call was to spread some Dylusions Pure sunshine onto the page and then layer the TCW stencil loaded with Dylusions  Slate Grey

I have used my Artline black pen to accentuate the design of the stencil and also to border the page.

I have chosen some Heidi Swapp Magnolia Jane embellisment range, oh and a little bit of bakers twine.

I have added a little stamping using the Lavinia stamps 'stones" - super cute stamp and well worth the purchase as it is great to accentuate and layer with.

Follow Your Dreams

Hi Peeps,

I had a lovely weekend away with fellow scrapbookers and this was one of the layouts I did. I started with a 12x12 chipboard for more strength.

I have some protype KinderKreations chipboard in this layout so keep an eye out for it's release. 

I have used assorted metal charms and findings too.

The background is done with text book paper and 3D gel.

The paints used are Alchemy metalliques and waxes from Prima.

Time 4 Tea - with Emma

Yay! It's Friday friends!

Emma here with you all today and today's share is a page full of inspiration from this months

 mood board.

And the glorious mood board.....

The first thing that grabbed my attention was the Gold.

Then it was the Tea.

I'm a massive tea drinker, I love it. It's my go to beverage, so I found this feminine (also inspired from the board) image from Pinterest.

Let me tell you a little about what I used for my background work.

I started by using through a stencil some Stone effect paste in Concrete, as I was using a dark background I wanted colour to still come to the front.

Then I flicked some Lindy's around, Buccaneer Bay Blue as this had blue and gold tones and Silent night Silver for the grey tones.

Within my layers, I used up older papers that I cut into tags and a Heidi Swapp Decorative tag that I stenciled over and then rubbed Art Alchemy acrylic paint in Ancient Coin over it to make it shimmer from the rest of the layers.

I added a couple of PinkFresh stitched hearts for some of my embellishments.

My chipboard is also painted with the Ancient Coin paint. So much shine it gives.

Finally my title is made with Heidi Swapp glitter stickers, naturally choosing the Gold ones to create this.

At the top of this picture I snuck in a few teabag tags and string to use as elements of interest.

I really hope you get to play this month with this beautiful board.

Art Journalling - With Karyn Schultz!

Hi Scrapping Clearly Lovelies!!

It's Karyn here, and today I have an art journal page to share with you made using lots of goodies available in the Scrapping Clearly Store.

I've used my Dina Wakely 8x10 media art journal and this page is cotton rag watercolour paper.

I've started by applying some watered down Dina Wakley paints (magenta, ocean, lime, and lemon) to the page using a large flat paint brush. I also added splatters of each of these colours. Then I did some stencilling with a sponge and these same paint colours.

Next I added an Art By Marlene Mandala stamp and washi and strips of DWM collage paper. I also added some strips of hessian cut from from one of the pages in the DWM journal.

Lastly I added some Tim Holtz small talk stickers, I drew around the edge of the page with a Fude Ball pen and I added some fussy cut flowers.

'Find joy...'

Hi everyone! It's a new month and so we have a new Moodboard. Today my share is inspired by this May Moodboard! 

And so this is my take on this Moodboard.

This tag was a challenge for me, as it involved lots of paying around with ideas and working with different mediums from the store.

For the background I used various layers of mediums from the store: Distress Oxide in 'Fossilized Amber' and 'Frayed Burlap'; Dina Wakley Heavy Body Paints in 'Elephant', 'Stirling' and 'Night'; and Dina Wakley Scribble Sticks.

For the next layer I used roughly applied ColourBlast Colour Paste in 'Steel' and Art Alchemy Acrylic Paint in Gold. To give a rustic look I used a heatgun close enough until bubbles formed. Then, for more depth, I stamped randomly over the surface with Stazon ink in 'Jet Black' with my favourite Prima Finnabair Vintage Vanity Collection clear acrylic stamp. 

Next, I added splatters of white acrylic paint mixed with water to allow good flow. 

Once the background was complete I set to work on my large cluster. In it I used a chipboard coloured with both ColourBlast Colour Paste in 'Steel' and Art Alchemy paint. 

From the store I used Prima Flowers; Advantus - Tim Holtz - Idea-ology - Keyholes; Heidi Swapp decorative tag - inked with Distress Stain in 'Faded Jeans'. The wood veneer is from my stash - you can find other wood veneer products to your liking in store.

I have scattered some Studio Calico Essentials - Chip Shapes Stars in black / grey around the page. 

Finally, for the title, I used the Tim Holtz Idea-ology Collection - Small Talk.

It was great fun creating this tag, with the inspiration of the colours from the Moodboard. It did take time, as was experimenting and playing around with the mediums but that's the beauty of art, right?
