"Moments" by Amanda Hartmann

Hello SC fans!

Who else enjoyed their December advent calendar in 2021? I loved it! And I especially loved that it threw some new and different products my way.

For example, I got some new purple products to work with:

• Tonic Studios – Nuvo Collection – Pure Sheen Glitter – Violet Infusion - a fine beautiful glitter, that is easy to sprinkle on wet mediums, and
• Art Anthology Sorbet – Purple Rain - an awesome shiny and glittery thick paint.

 I thought it called for a purple page!

Here it is:

When I use purple, you need some contrasting colours - I started with a Kraft cardstock base and adding black and white.

Using an old store card, I swiped the Art Anthology Sorbet – Purple Rain paint to the background.

Then I added the new Dina Wakley Media Collage Tissue Paper [Text Collage] paper over the purple with some gel medium.

While it was still wet, I sprinkled Nuvo Collection – Pure Sheen Glitter – Violet Infusion over.

Once everything was dry, I used a blending brush to add some extra stenciling to the page.

Also added some stamping using the new Tim Holtz Cling Stamp– Tiny Text - I know these are out of stock - hopefully more will come in soon!

Finished with some muslin, black thread, a white flower (painted with Art Anthology Sorbet – Purple Rain) and my title.

Happy Tuesday everyone

Here's another layout I created using the colours from this month's mood board for inspiration.

I started with some Art Anthology dimensional paint through a few stencils.

Because I had a fair bit of paint left over on my stencil, I gave it a spritz with water and used the packaging technique to transfer some onto the background.

I still had a lot left over so I lay down some white card stock over my messy mat and picked up some more.   This will become the base for my next layout.

I matted my photo and added a few embellishments, using gel medium and a small paint brush to stick on the gold beads.

I painted my chipboard arch with black gesso and then stuck everything down.

Still plenty of time to give this month's challenge a go.   Would love to see what you create.

Sentimental Traveler - Art Journalling With Karyn Schultz!

 Hi Scrapping Clearly Lovelies!

It's Karyn here and today I have an art journal page that I created using lots of fun products available at Scrapping Clearly!

 

 

I'm playing along with the August moodboard challenge. We would love for you to join in with this challenge and be in the running to win a Scrapping Clearly store voucher. You have until August 31 and you need to upload your challenge here.

 

 

This page is created in my Black Square Dylusions Journal. I used a palate knife to swipe Platinum modelling paste, Art Anthology Reef Velvet dimensional paint, and Art Anthology Vegas Gold Sorbet dimensional paint through a stencil across the page. Then I added splatters of Heidi Swapp ColorShine in Tinsel, Gold and Navy.

  

 I stamped the Dina Wakley Good Idea stamp set on white cardstock then painted using Prima Watercolor Confections Classics and Decadent Pies. These flowers were fussy cut to use on my page.

 

 

 Here is a close up of my page. I've used the flowers as a feature for the page as well as adding some Tim Holtz Idea-ol-ogy Small Talk Word Stickers and white gauze.

Hi everyone

Today I have 3 different layouts all using Teresa Collins Something Wonderful patterned paper.

Finished off with a Heidi Swapp Fabric Bow

Color Burst powders in Chartreuse and Lamp Black

Cocoa Vanilla Made of Awesome stickers and Totally Rad enamel shapes

Ranger Liquid pearls in Key Lime.

And then finally rather than throw away the offcuts from the last LO, I used them to collage the background for the next page, using a couple of coats of gesso to cover up the colours that didn't work

Pink Art Journalling - With Karyn Schultz!

Hi Scrapping Clearly Lovelies!!

It's Karyn here, and today I have an art journal page to share with you made using lots of goodies available in the Scrapping Clearly Store.

I'm also playing along with the February Moodboard Challenge. We would love for you to join the challenge and be in the running to win a Scrapping Clearly voucher. You have until February 29 and you enter by uploading your photo to the album in the facebook group here.

I used the colours and images in this moodboard as inspiration for my page. 

In my Small Dylusions journal I created a background using Prima Watercolor Confections.I used 3 different shades of pink.

I had a flamingo shaped chipboard embellishment that I coated in Art Anthology Cameo sorbet dimensional paint. I used my finger to do this and added a few coats. 

Once my pages were dry I added some background stamping. Then I drew around the edges of the pages with a Fude Ball pen.

I stamped some Dina Wakley Good Idea stamps onto Heidi Swapp Honey and Spice "Terraza" patterned paper . Then I used a fine tipped glue pen to draw around the lines of the images then I added some "Pink Diva" Nuvo pure sheen glitter. Once dry I fussy cut the images.   

 

I coloured some white muslin using watercolour and added it to my page along with the fussy cut flowers and leaves. I also added some "Love Potion" Nuvo Dream Drops in places on the page. 

Lastly I added some stickers from the Art-by-Marlene sticker book.
