Family Time - With Karyn Schultz!

Hi Scrapping Clearly Lovelies!!

It's Karyn here, and today I have a scrapbook page to share with you made using various products available in the Scrapping Clearly Store

For my base I've used a sheet of white cardstock and painted with using Decadent Pies Prima Watercolor Confections (pink, green, brown). Once this was dry I added splatters of each colour as well.

I also coloured 2 pieces of muslin with the Decadent Pies Prima Watercolor Confections (pink and green).

I started decorating my page with strips of paper from the Heidi Swapp Honey & Spice 12x12 paper pad on both the left and right sides. How gorgeous is this paper collection - the colours are divine and there are so many gorgeous patterns!

Around my photo I added some Scrap FX chipboard, metal embellishments,
Heidi Swapp Emerson Lane Ephemera, and the pink coloured muslin.

In the top right of the page I also added more Scrap FX chipboard, Heidi Swapp Emerson Lane Ephemera, a diecut, clear art pebbes, metal embellishments, and the pink coloured muslin.

I love how this chipboard looks a bit "military like" - it suits my ANZAC day photo!

Thanks so much for stopping by

Don't look back

Hi everyone

This is my first ever attempt at an art journal page.   I've used a new ART INC journal which I think are a perfect size.   Inspired by this month's mood board, this is what I came up with.

I started by collaging on some random bits and pieces of paper using some gel medium.   I also wrote some thoughts on the background.   This wasn't meant to be legible, more as therapy as I knew I was going to cover them up.

I then scribbled on some Neocolor II crayons and activated them with a wet paint brush.

I then added a layer of gesso using a brayer (wiping some off with a baby wipe as I went along).

Then some acrylic paint, sometimes using my finger, sometimes some bubble wrap

Then my focal image and some doodling with a few Posca pens.

Plenty of time to create something inspired by this month's moodboard.   Looking forward to seeing what you create,

cheers

Moodboard Inspiration

I love when you are stuck for an idea that we can just look at the monthly inspirational mood board and jump off onto a creative vibe.

I started with a Kinderkreations stencil Spring Bouquet.
I used crackle paint through it with a sponge. Let it dry.
Now I must admit it really did buckle up really bad with the crackle paint on the normal weight pattern paper. So I had to tape and glue it onto a piece of cardstock to get it kind of flat.
I used a piece of paper arts paper for the background.

To highlight the crackles I spritzed over some mermaid lagoon oxide spray and dabbed off excess with a paper towel.

I then used the KinderKreations love stencil with Distress stain stormy sky onto the background under the photo focal area.

I have then finished off the focal area with more chipboard and veneer pieces and some flowers.

Thanks for looking
