From the Heart by Lauren Hender

Hi Everyone..

Well it feels as though summer has hit here in Australia. The thongs are coming out and the BBQ's are firing up. I love it!

Today I am sharing a layout featuring my little dolly Katie on her Christening Day. She is now nearly 7 but when I saw this photo all the memories flooded back and I knew I would have to create a layout with it.

The range I have used is the Crate Paper Gather Collection and this entire collection can be found in the Scrapping Clearly Store.
(Directs Links Below)

In this layout I have used simple layering techniques to build my base. To help with this I added some texture with a little lace and a large cut file.

Are these not the most beautiful embellishments?!

Hope you have enjoyed my layout and it inspires you to get creative.

Heidi Swapp Christmas tags by Tania

Hi all!!! Well, as much as we may be in denial, Christmas is just around the corner! Sorry to break it to you!
That's ok, because today I'm sharing with you some very quick and simple tags with a vintage feel, that will get you off to a good headstart with your gift giving!
I've started by making my own tags from some Kraft cardstock, and then added lots of gorgeous Heidi Swapp, embellies, including goodies from the "Oh What Fun" Range!!! (Everything I've used from the Scrappingclearly store is listed at the bottom of the post!)

For the first 2 tags, I have used the vellum for the background, I love the subtleness of the printed vellum.

The 2nd two tags, I've used the patterned papers for the background, the solid colour helps the clear stickers pop on these!

All of my die cuts have been mounted with 3D foam tape for dimension, and I've made my own reinforcement rings from punches for the holes.
I hope this gives you a little motivation to get started on your Christmas projects!!! I now have a special tag for each member of my family, for a few of those presents under the tree!
See you next time and don't forget to play along with our moodboard and sketch this month!!!

Blissful Mixed Media Art Journal Fun

Howdy folks ,Lisa here with a Friday update .
A fun piece of art journal goodness
Lots of lovely colours and layers.
We all have these pages of fragments of blotted colour from left over layout backgrounds.
This double spread utilizes one of those pages.
Stencils peeps , oh how I love stencils and Colour Blast and  Dylusions and Liquitex acrylic paint, and Liquitex aerosol spray paint and all those lovely things layered up together ,
no right or wrong, just play and fun.

Next in the process,a few Fude ball pen drawn random words.(yep my page is upside down here) I Cut some circles from scrap background paper, inked or distressed the edges with Staz On ,
then organized them on the page .
Express it or Helmar 450 glue is my preference to attach my circles to the page .
After adequate drying time I attacked the circles
and the page with black pen again to enhance the shape .
To finish off this page added a little more acrylic paint then
I resurrected my old Making Memories Jersey font stamps,(love them) and stamped a title..
drying time, the magic pencil and Posca details complete
this mixed media art journal page of colour and fun.

How many random art journal pages do you have that are calling out for some attention.
Why not give this page a whirl?...then tag me, cause I would love to see what you created .

Thanks for dropping by,see you next week.

Peg's Sketch Page

Hiya Artsy Peeps
Hope life is treating you well.

I got to playing with the sketch this month and my page kinda took on a life of it's own. The basic elements are there but I got off track a little by trying to highlight the words of the stencil.

I started with some Marshmallow card and Tim Holtz distress crayons. The crayons are just like Faber Castell Gelatos except that once they dry they will not reactivate, handy! My next layer was done by scribbling the Distress crayon on my messy mat, adding water and applying with a make-up sponge through a Crafter's Workshop stencil.

I used foil Thickers for my title, some old deco tape, a Tim Holtz sentiment sticker, and a die cut from ?? somewhere. The page still looked just a little flat so I added some Heidi Shine splats.

This is the sketch, hope you get to play along, the prize is always fabulous!

Til next time,
Happy scrapping!

Life - with Karyn Schultz!

Hi Scrapping Clearly Lovelies!!!

It's Karyn here and today I have a scrapbook page to share with you made using lots of goodies available in the  Scrapping Clearly Store. I've mainly/only used the Simple Stories "Life in Color" collection (collection kit, bits and pieces) and some watercolour paints (Prima Watercolor Confections - Decadent Pies ). The photo is of John, Jessica and myself on one of our family days!
I've started with a sheet of 12x12 white cardstock and added splatters of my Prima Watercolor Confections - Decadent Pies paints. These paints are just amazing - you absolutely need them!! I love to add watercolouring to my projects to customise and personalise them. I mix the paints in a paint pallete to get it watery enough for good splattering!
There are lots of fun elements in the Bits and Pieces pack which are perfect for titles, layering and embellishing. I've chosen these letters for my title.
I've added lots of layers of papers behind my photo. I like to cut out all of the cards from the 12x12 pages - some are used for PL pages and others are used for layering on my scrapbook pages.
Scrapping Clearly products I've used include

Well it is my time over on the blog today with a process video and a layout share using the new Crate Paper Cute Girl collection.

This collection is super fun and just PERFECT for all those photos with your precious little one in them .. When I ordered this collection I grabbed a 6 x 6 paper pad to hep me stretch out the embellishments.. so this layout is created using a 6 x 6 pad only :)

Let me show you what I have created.. and don't forget at the bottom of this post I have a process video to show you how this all came about :)

I love this photo of my Abigail..It was taken on a day when her and I were laying in bed together having cuddles and I just happened to snap this photo of her.
It is one of my favourites as she is saying " cheese" and she used to pull this face all the time. I am just wrapped that I managed to snap a picture of it in all her cuteness.
