Howdy Blog Hoppers Lisa Here with a Friday Arty update .

Scrapping Clearly have organized a Circle Journal swap and I've jumped on board.

Its been a long time since I've taken part in one.

 I loved putting together the paper bag kit that Kylie sent out.

The paper bag journal is a great way to keep postage costs down and it also opens up your creativity.

I don't sew so to make the album I used double sided tape to stick the bags together,then added plasterers binding throughout the pages.staples to bind the pages together and an outer layer of  Dylusions painted Bazzill Marshmellow cardstock to add support and protection for its journey.

Its too hard to pick a theme, I am sure that most people had a few ideas floating around in their heads.

But these words, and particularly this song was playing in my head over and over again when I was making the album.I am going to broaden the theme and write a list of things ,

 related to these words that will prompt some interesting creative flow .

I cant wait to dive into the next journal that comes my way,

 I'll be sharing each one I have the privilege of creating in.

For texture I've used one of my favorite stencils with some Prima Clear Crackle paste.

Details added with house paint,staz on&stamps and those trusty Posca Paint Pens

Hello Happy by Lauren Hender

Hello Happy! yes that is what I say to my little girl who is always happy and making everyone around her smile.

I hope that her life is a Sweet Adventure and that she is given to challenges in life to make her grow.

In this layout I have used the Glitz Design Carpe Diem range, some Heidi swap goodness - that being her beautiful metallic texture paste and that adorable bow.

 To help build the layout and draw your eye to the photograph I used layers of

coordinating papers and a different textures.

This cute heart cut file is by Teresa Collins,

 The Heidi Swapp texture paste is amazing to work with and it dries quickly too.

The entire colour range is a must.

Hope this layout has inspire you to get creating.

My Moodboard take by Tania

Hi everyone, I'm back here again with a cute little card set I made using the very sweet Heidi Swapp Hello Gorgeous papers! I've also been playing with the amazing Colour Blast Colour Pastes which I see are a bit of a favourite at the moment!!!

So my inspiration came from the moodboard this month: It's a beauty and I hope you will play along!

I used one sheet of patterned paper and also the cut off tab from the same sheet, (which is the striped orange strip!) I am not a fan of wastage in my creating!!! I also cut some gold strips from a gorgeous piece of We R Memory Clearly Posh Acetate

I gave each piece of paper a coat of Gesso in the middle as a base for my next layer which was Dylusions spray ink in Squeezed Orange. When that was dry I dabbed some more bright orange over the top with Dylusions paint. I did a very faint layer of stamping with this Kaisercraft honeycomb stamp.

Then I had lots of fun with one of my favourite stencils, Dylusions Leaf flourish and this amazing Colour Blast colour paste.

The moodboard called for a deep blue and purple, but I only had pink and blue paste, so I mixed the two together to get a gorgeous purple colour. When the paste drys, the shimmer is awesome, I honestly love them!

In my kit this month, I also have some very pretty Prima flowers, which I used to embellish, along with these really cute little Prima alphabet stickers!

The 'happy' die cut is made using one of my favourite Heidi Swapp Wanderlust word dies! 

I hope I've inspired you to give the Moodboard a go this month, and to have a look at the beautiful papers in the Heidi Swapp Collections!! (I've also used them as my backdrop for these photos!!!) I will be back next time to showcase some more of these gorgeous papers!

Cocoa Vanilla meets Colour Blast

Hi All

I've been playing with the Coca Vanilla 'Made of Awesome' range, it's a cool one and just perfect for teens, boys, and pets.

I'm sharing today a page using up some pics I had lying around of our pussy cat, he's a weird one.

I started with the 'Directions' paper and a Crafter's Workshop stencil with some 'Dusty Charcoal' Colour Blast paste, then added splats with Heidi Swapp Color Shine sprays in Navy and Mustard to match the Cocoa Vanilla colour range.

I cut the frames from the Ephemera pack diagonally in half and made some photo corners.

I used one small piece of orange patterned paper for a photo mat at the bottom to form a visual triangle with the photo corners. I created another triangle with the two flair buttons and the ampersand ephemera piece. Then finished it off with a sticker title and date stamp.

I like being able to combine random photos to make a page and get them out of my ever growing stash. One day I might upgrade to a decent printer so I can print at home only when I need specific pics..... one day.

An Acrylic Album - With Karyn!

Hi Scrapping Clearly Lovelies!

It's Karyn here today with a different kind of crafty project to share with you. It is an Acrylic album! This is a fun project to make that is perfect for a gift or just a special way to document an occasion. The album is an exclusive to Scrapping Clearly and they have a fun range of various shapes.

I've used a sequence of photos of my girls taken at a photobooth near the cinema we go to. Each photo is quite small but is perfect for this sized album. 

I love that the albums are clear - printed transparencies are perfect to use and still maintain pages that you can see through.

I've used a pack of Basic Grey journalling cards and transparencies as well - these were perfect mats for my photos.

Word stickers in various colours and textures make this sort of project more achievable and look fabulous!

Puffy shape stickers are also fun embellishments for the pages.

I have a "less is more" philosophy for my crafting - I dont like to cover up all the pretty patterns!

I had so much fun making this album and have plans for many more - why dont you try one too. I'd love to see :)

Getting a Little Messy - With Kim

Morning everyone today Lisa is having a day off posting her mixed media day and has handed the reins to me. I am sharing a page or 2 from my art journal with you that I have created, using many of the mixed media items in the Scrappingclearly Shop.

First up today is a page where i have created a dream catcher I created the background using Dylusions Paints and lots of bits and pieces I had lying around.

I just love who vibrant the colours are of the Dylusion paint it is just amazing. As you can see ihave used lots of bits and pieces to create my catcher.

I am also sharing a page I have created using The Crafters Workshop stencils Glimmer Mists and silk paint paint but you could use the new Prima paints just as well the random stamping adds to the feel of this page and the feeling of depth.

As you can see below i have shadow stamped an image of a person into the stencil body.

And this image just shows how the random mixing stamping paints and mists can work so well togther.
