I'm done by Tracey B

Hi everyone

Happy crafting Tuesday.

Don't you just love this month's mood board.

I do so so here's a sneak of what I created.

I started by gluing down some lengths of hessian twine and some handles cut off shopping bags.   I initially used some gel medium which should have been fine but it had turned a bit thick so I resorted to Helmar 450 quick dry adhesive which worked well.

I glued on some chipboard pieces and then the whole page a couple of thin coats of white gesso just dry brushed on.

I sprinkled on some Color Burst powder (Olive Green) and then gave it a spritz with water.

I struggled to find a photo placement spot that I was happy with as I felt it was floating and unconnected with anything so I went back and added more twine as a base for the photo.

I added some Nuvo Crackle Mouse (Wrought Iron) through a stencil and some Pearlex (Antique gold) mixed with some impasto through another stencil to give some texture to the top of my chipboard pieces.   I added a key hole from my stash that I had made with paper clay and a Re-Design Prima Grandeur Keyholes mould.  I had painted it a terracotta  colour so to tie it in a gave it a coat of Art Alchemy Opal Magic Wax (Green Brocade) and some Liquid Pearl drops (Avocado) to finish it.

Happy creating!

cheers

Pretty, by Amanda Hartmann

Hi Scrapping Clearly fans! Welcome to my Wednesday share day! And today we go PINK! Which I had to when I saw these photos of Olivia!I made my own mixed media background with some gel medium and old scrap wrapping paper, and then added extra colour and texture with:
Check it out!!!

Here is the full page...
I started with some heavy white cardstock and used gel medium to stick a piece of scrap wrapping paper to the background. I used the gel medium all over the page, so any water or colour I used next would not soak in.
Next I used the Nuvo mouse through the Finnabair Wild Berries stencil. Look at the amazing crackle effect in these close ups.

For the hot pink, I used the Magenta Liquitex ink. I add the flicks as well as painting with some watered down ink. These inks are such intense and vibrant colours. They are also water proof once dry so the colour sets well on the page and will not smudge if water is added.
I finished the page with some flowers and bits from my stash, as well as the Prima - Art pebbles - Sugar.

I hope you like pink... and like my page!

Amanda

Lockdown Hair

Hi everyone,
Hasn't this been a challenging year.   In Victoria, I think we became a little complacent, doing so well social distancing and self isolating when required - the first time around.    To go back into lockdown again for another 6 weeks is a shock.   Should have made that hair appointment when I had the chance!

This layout has been inspired by this month's mood board.

products I've used

Carabelle Studio stamp - Collage Texte grunge
Heidi Swapp vintage ghost letters
Cocoa Vanilla Made of Awesome alpha stickers

Still time to enter the mood board challenge for a chance to win.

#LOVINGLIFE, by Amanda Hartmann

Hi all!

More of my FAVE colours - PLUS flowers in today's blog post.

I also got a gold bag this week, so new stuff had to be tested! :) Full list of products at the end!

Got new stuff! Have to create with it!

Firstly, Nuvo crackle mousse through a new 13arts stencil.

Gel medium to stick some tissue paper (including the fussy cut bird) to the page. Plus then some swipes of the crackle mousse.

Stamped with my new Tim Holtz stamps, and embossed with new Distress embossing glaze.

Lastly a bit of shiny watercolour to the background with a Lindy's Magical shaker.

Then all put together with some random black stamping, doodling and all my embellishments!

And here is my page!

Raided my flower stash to finish this page!

Plus some Vicki Boutin word stickers!

I do love playing with new products!

Live colorfully

Hi everyone.

Here is my take on this month's mood board.

I started by brayering on some Dina Wakley paint in Heather then spreading some Nuvo Crackle Mousse in Celestial Blue through a stencil.

Once dry some lovely crackles will  appear.
I then watered down some more Dina Wakley paints in Magenta, Sky and Marine and flicked them over the background and added some Cocoa Vanilla Happiness ephemera.

For my title I used a Dear Lizzy die cut phrase and although I loved the yellow in it, it wasn't working for my page.   So if you don't like it - just change it!   Some gesso and a marker and I was all good.

Oodles of time left to get your craft on and join us this month.

Looking forward to seeing what you create.
