#SRSLY Good Times

Hello everyone! I am back here sharing another page. This time, with a page consisting of multiple photos. The photos were from our recent trip to Western Australia (last month).

I don't often scrap with multiple photos. So, for something different, I decided to scrap with a 'grid-like' format as a means to fit the photos in. For this 'grid', I used: Cocoa Vanilla Studio papers from the 'Boys Rule' range; Kaiser Craft cardstock die-cut pieces; Studio Calico wood veneer printed corners, Cocoa Vanilla flair buttons and enamel dots; Stazon Ink Jet in black, for stamping; and Heidi Swapp decorative tags. Be sure to check out these cool products available online.

The handmade denim crosses are from Charms Creations and the words 'happy moment' were from my stash. You will find similar products in store, such as sticker sheets or even word stamps for a sub-heading.

Take a look at these close-ups. Personally, I found this grid format easy and a useful means of scrapping multiple photos in one page.

Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget to join in and have a go with this month's gorgeous 'love' moodboard. See you next month.

Ciao, Amy.

Playing with Gel Prints

I felt like getting out the gel plate yesterday and just having some fun.
I watched a facebook demo with Birgit Koopsen and I couldn't wait to try it.

You will need your gel plate , brayer and paints and some templates.

First step is to lay down some base colour, I went with something dark with most of them, so that I could contrast and see the details easier.

Do a few prints to remove the colour from inbetween your shapes on the template. I used Deli paper for this step. That way you also get prints to use later in your art journal. Templates with big open spaces work best for this technique. Do not remove your template.

Now go back in with a sponge and add contrasting colours back into your open spaces.

Lift your template off and do your final print. I tested the first couple straight into my art journal before I tried it on cardstock for a layout.

I swapped to the 12x12 gel plate when I was ready to try backgrounds for scrapbook layouts.

The last one was my favourite so here is the finished layout, clean and simple.

Thanks for looking .

Getting my fill of the Moodboard

I can't get enough of the Moodboard colours this month & It's a great palette to work with. By adding little bright pops of colour in the washi tape it just lifts the palette. There are always plenty of fun times at my house, especially with my kids and my nieces and nephews... it a shame they are all growing up so fast... I will miss these moments.

I started this layout with a fabulous base of Pink Paislee Fancy Free collection cardstock and added an overlay I created with the Silhouette. I then used some Stampers Anonymous heart stamps with Ranger Ink in dandelion... they were stamped where I worked out I would have my photo.  I cut a Hambly Screen Print in Honeycomb and added to the layers. After placing them all down with a touch of tape I took to the sewing machine and stitched a double border around the outside edge. I also find that the sewing machine is a great way to adhere acetate... so the honeycomb print was added this way.

Time to add the layers behind the photo. With all the new things I just purchased from the sale, I think I am in love with the Dina Wakley washi tape the most. It just added the right amount of pop behind the photo and to the layout. I have also layered some Heidi Swapp journalling spots, Heidi Swapp Emerson Lane ephemera, Dusty Attic chipboard Bubbles - inked with Ranger Dandelion.

It was then time to bring out the Vicki Boutin watercolour crayons as my journalling was getting lost under the photo. After adding the colour to the bottom I balanced it out with a little of the same colour on the top. I used the Pinkfresh Alpha for the title... these are seriously one of my fave alphas at the moment... they add so much dimension and the white and black just hit the mark for me when finishing off a layouts title.

I added foam tape to the photo to help lift it off the page and the corners were slightly bent up to help add dimension. I added Heidi Swapp Washi tape around the outer edge of the whole layout. I wanted to add black stitching originally but felt that would be too stark for the layout so I opted for the white and black dot - which I feel works nicely.

I  hope you have a fabulous weekend.... don't forget there are a lot of amazing classes coming to Scrapping Clearly over the coming months... letting out a little squeal with the Birgit Koopsen arrival... I wish I lived closer so that I could just rock up.  Spots are going fast so don't delay if you are thinking you want to go - make it happen - it will be worth your while.

Enjoy your creative & messy weekend

Cute Sheilas - With Karyn Schultz!

Hi Scrapping Clearly Lovelies - Happy St Valentines Day!!

It's Karyn here, and today I have a scrapbook page to share with you made using lots of goodies from the Heidi Swapp Emerson Lane collection and Prima Watercolor Confections - all available from the Scrapping Clearly Store.

I created this page during the Australia Day cybercrop - It is my favourite creation. I love the colours in the photo and the Emerson Lane collection and the background turned out so well. Of course the photo is my fav - aren't my girls beautiful!!

I started with a white cardstock base then created the background using Prima watercolor pan paints and a painting with plastic technique.

I matted my photo on a white paper doilie and papers from the Emerson Lane collection then added Ephemera, stickers and paper flowers.

I love the gold/white word stickers in this collection!

The velum ephemera is another fabulous addition to any page!

I used Pink Paislee gold alphas to create my title and added some Freckled Fawn gold arrows.

Thanks so much for stopping by

'You are my sunshine'

Hi everyone! I am back sharing another page. This time, with a cheeky picture of my eldest, Josh, with me - captured on our recent WA holiday.

For this fun page, I used Cocoa Vanilla and My Mind's Eye enamel dots and Pink Fresh Studio Alpha Stickers; Dylusions Sprays in 'Black Marble', 'Fresh Lime', and 'Bubble Gum Pink'; Simple Stories Papers - 'Carpe Diem' range. I have die-cut both the cactus and the word 'Sunshine' using the papers from this Simple Stories collection - and placed a cute black and white handmade Charms Creations cat here.

Be sure to check out the products available online!

Here are some closeups.

It was fun creating this quirky and amusing page. And it's a flat one - for those who do not like bulky pages.

Thank you for popping by.

Breathe - with Emma

Welcome to Tuesday SC friends.
Today I'm sharing a page that has been created using inspo from this months moodboard.

It's a beautiful textural moodboard, with very pretty colour tones.
Not my usual go to colours, but it did allow me to dig into my stash a little deeper.

Here is my interpretation.....

I tried very hard to get texture into this page and followed the drapping down of fabrics by using strips of paper.

These strips were made from 3 sheets from Heidi Swapp September skies 6x6 paper pad.
I added torn pieces of fabric in amongst them.

To add more texture I used a Heidi swapp Fabric tag that I distressed to add more interest.
I also layered a few pieces from a Heidi swapp Ephemera pack.

The title "breathe" comes from a set of acetate words also by the cool Heidi Swapp.

Very fitting for this image I thought.

My back ground work consisted of a few ingredients, firstly by applying Clear gesso on my base sheet, once dry I added a Distress Oxide in Abandoned Coral and then dripped some reinkers in Tattered rose and Candied apple.
The doilies were coated in Spun sugar.

Finally I added 2 Pink Fresh stitched hearts to the page and now the page is complete.

Hope you enjoy this page as much as I do and I will catch you all next week.
Em xx
