Autumn Sunshine by Amy Churchward

 Hello there!

I had a wonderful time creating with this month's colour palette – the September Palette Play. Autumn is one of my favourite seasons, with its cool, crisp air and the magical transformation of the leaves. This year, we were lucky enough to enjoy plenty of autumn sunshine.

Here's my layout featuring these beautiful colours:

Products Used:

• White cardstock from my stash, mounted on to Perfectly Posh patterned paper from the discount section - bargain priced - check it out!
• Various patterned papers layered behind the photos, including:
  • Crate Paper - Memento
  • Fancy Pants - Happy to be Free
• Stencil: ABM - Calming Trio, applied to the background with a blending brush using Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxide. I also used Ripe Persimmon Distress Oxide for splatters.
• Dylusions Shimmer Spray for splatters in Bubblegum Pink and Squeezed Orange.

For the title:

Embellishments:

• Vicki Boutin Discover & Create Chipboard, painted with a basic watercolour paint set from my stash.

New Ink bt Tracey B

 Good morning everyone,

another month and another colour palette.

My son now has 3 tattoos. They are all different, but they all have a deeply personal meaning to him.   He has his gran's date of birth and death in roman numerals around his wrist, a springbok (his partner is South African), and now a barn spider, cause that's the type of spider in Charlotte's web, in memory of his stillborn sister Charlotte.

This is why I scrapbook.   

Why do you?

I created my circle embellishments with some crackle paste, alcohol inks, an Aall and create stamp and a couple of punches.   How cool is this one.

For the background I used some Distress Oxide (it was clean up from another project), Nuvo mousse (chai latte) through a stencil using a stencil brush ('cause it was a little dried up but still got it to work), some Finabair jewel paste (crushed amber) and a TCW Believe script stencil and some Momento Ink (Tuxedo black) and another stamp.

 Good morning

Another page being inspired by this month's colour palette.

Firstly some Dylusions shimmer paint (London Blue) sponged through a circle. Then some Neo II crayons (Vermillion & scarlet) scribbled onto my messy mat, spritzed and smooshed onto my page.   

Soem Lunar paste (midnight snack and Triple Berry) through some stencils and some Dina Wakley gloss spray (Rouge) for extra colour and a little stamping with archival ink (Barn door, Monarch orange & Tiger Lilly) using an Aall & Create stamp.

What's the secret you're kepingy Tracey B

 Good morning everyone - only 5 days late with this post - and the way my life has been atm: that's called winning!

This month Scrapping Clearly is partnering with Soul Scrappers Challenges so head on over for some great challenges.

I was inspired by the colours in the centre circle of this month's colour palette.

First I gave my page a coat of clear gesso.   In hind site it didn't really need it but as I'm not always (aka never) sure where the page is going adding gesso is something I often do as it can give me more options.

I then sponged on some distress ink (evergreen bough, twisted citron and peeled paint) through a few leaf stencils.

I scribbled some gelatos (Cotton candy and Blueberry) onto my messy mat, spritzed them with water and using some packaging, smooshed them onto the LO.

I matted the photos and added some 49 & Market Ticket Essentials, a few splashes of Colour Blast spray (Caribbean), some ribbon, pearls, fussy cut leaves and a title and called it done.

Am I showing my age again with the title?

"Look at What I Found" - By Amy Churchward

Hello Everyone!

Hope you're staying warm as we near the end of winter. I wanted to share a photo I took during a walk in the gardens up in sunny QLD earlier this year. I came across this unique-looking fruit, or at least I think it's a fruit! Its unusual shape really caught my eye.

Using the colours from this month’s August Colour Palette Play, I created this layout.

Products I Used:

• Vicki Boutin Print Shop Stencil Set: Using the stencil, I applied a variety of products including:
  • Distress Oxides in Picked Raspberry and Twisted Citron
  • Simon Hurley Lunar Paste in Prom Queen (mixed with water to hand paint the pink circles using Simon Hurley Lunar Paste in Fake Plant)
  • Dylusions Sprays in Fresh Lime and Squeezed Orange for both splatters and to colour the Charms Creations Heart
  • Title stamped with a Heidi Swapp Alpha stamp set from my stash using Picked Raspberry from the Archival Set #1. This set is perfect for travel to Scrap Days or Scrap Retreats.
  • White paint pen from my stash. There are various options in store to choose from.
