Funky Mojo Flow

Howdy folks , Lisa here with a Friday mixed media update.
Today,I'm sharing a quick Art Journal page that I have created using the new Dina Wakley Media "Funky Faces " and "Scribbly Circles" stamp sets produced by Ranger Ink.
When I 1st saw these stamp sets,I was so excited ,
I couldn't wait to get hold of them and get a mounting block to them.
I started with a page that already had a darkish background and I felt that , although they are background stamps they got a little lost on the page , so I started from scratch,
because I really wanted to hero these funky cool faces .
Using Dina Wakley Media paints in Magenta , Lemon, Turquoise,Lime and White Gesso , I coloured the page with paint and a Dina Stencil titled Medieval Cross( a fave atm- love those timeless designs) , using a wipe away(baby wipes) technique. Then a little Drying time .
I used a large Ranger Dylusions Art Journal book, and worked on 2 pages ,
each page a separate piece but ,
still using the same paints a, colours and stamps.
Having taken a Dina class or 3 over the last few years , I kinda / sorta worked out that the Funky Faces stamps are single line drawn heads , done in the awesome free flowing style that Dina is famous for. So I attempted one myself on a separate page and cut it to add to my piece.
I kept it simple and easy.
Next the details, DWM black gesso for the head to sit on so it pops from the page
-more Stenciling to support previous layer.
More pen doodling and a little script to personalize those Funky Faces stamps.
Adding a little colour into the Scribbly Circles to reinforce the colours already used
 and this baby is done.
Inspired always by Dina and her "thang", I then attempted to create my own Funky Faces ,using the One line drawing, or Don't lift your pen technique, with my Fude Ball  and added some colour with my Dina Wakley Media Scribble Sticks.
Thanks for Dropping by the SC Blog , I hope you are inspired to try single lined drawing this weekend , It will help your mojo flow and relax you into a fun creative time.
I'll be back next week with a new Friday mixed media update .
Have a super weekend .
