Not perfect by Tracey B

 Hi everyone

Here's another page inspired by this month's mood affirmation

I started with a 'waste not' page and sponged on some Distress Ink (fired Brick) and added some Black Soot through a TCW Mini Specimen stencil.   I then sponged on some Distress Oxide (Seedless Preserves) for the milky look.

I added some Nuvo Embellishment mousse (Black Ash) through a Vicki Boutin Print Shop stencil and some embellishments including

Heidi Swapp Jumbo pennant (sponged with more Distress Ink & Oxide)
13@rts ephemera

here's some close ups

I love that I can turn an ugly piece of scrap paper into something I can live with!

'Normal is Boring' by Emma Zappone

Hello Thursday everyone!
Em with you today sharing a layout using a couple of substrates from the Peiskos foundations pack and more stash busting.

I was totally inspired by the gold in this months affirmation board. And because I still had plenty of papers left in my Peiskos pack, thought these should definitely feature in the project. I found this awesome image on Pinterest and loved the blues in it. So I wanted to make the mood board colours work along with the blue, gold and regal tones, and I feel it does 😉

I have really enjoyed creating my own backgrounds this year, and I have loved rummaging around in all my product, using papers and embellishments that would not normally be put together. So this page features product by Stamperia, Tim Holtz, 49&Market, Finnabair and more.

Often when I get a new mould set, I make a couple of sets, so I always have 'embellishments' at the ready. I have used a mix of Art Alchemy acrylics and Waxes on the resins. I love the detail shown on the resin on this page.

This year, I have also found enjoyment with the process of fussy cutting. Quietly sitting and tracing around with scissors is very therapeutic. Plus it allows me to develop more layers and visual interest to my creations.

Have you had a good stash busting create session lately?
I highly recommend it!

I can't wait to see you all with next months affirmation board.

Stay Crafty, Em xx

Imperfection is beauty by Tracey B

 Morning everyone

Here is a layout inspired by this month's mood affirmation using the Peiskos Foundation pack.

I started by sponging some black gesso through a stencil.   I then masked off another stencil with some washi and scrapped through some Light & Fluffy modelling paste.

I wasn't happy with the hard straight lines so scrapped a little of the modelling paste off with a spatula.

I added some tissue paper from the Peiskos Foundation pack and adhered it with matte medium

I added colour using paint from my Prima Confections pallets, stuck on some words and drew around them with a black stabilo and softened that with a water pen.

I was very heavy handed with the matte medium which acted as a resist for the paint.
Very happy accident!

And some random stamping to finish off and add contrast.

Always Believe in Yourself

 hi all,

I am back today with something a little different for me.. No, it isn't a house.

well technically there is another house at the end but that isn't the main part.

I created a scrapbook page.

OK, OK, those who know me and my last few years - don't fall over because it doesn't feature a photo but there is an image....

Always Believe in Yourself

see there is an image. BUT the image is a 2-step image transfer (which I forgot to take photos of along the way. First, I transferred some text onto a piece of watercolour paper. then I layered over a magazine image transfer. There is a close up below so you can see the text and through the image. This is one of my favourite techniques.

I used a piece of Heidi Swapp Art Walk collection pattern paper as my background piece, layered onto that the vellum page from the Lucky Findings Foundations - Peiskos

Then I layered up the background of the image with a mix of resin paper, old wallpaper, and part of the transparency from the Lucky Findings Foundation - Sherbet collection.

I did add some stitching along the way. I do love a bit of random stitching.

Then I finished it off with some chipboard that I had from Umm Wow Studio that I covered randomly with texture paste, black paint and then fished with some DecoArt Media Antiquing Cream - Patina Green and English Red Oxide

I then added a splattering of Tim Holtz Oxide ink (using the spray bottle ends) in Victorian Velvet and Iced Spruce. Created my title using a mixture of Tim Holtz Quotes, Heidi Swapp Black & White Buzz words, Cocoa Vanilla Awesome alphas, and some very old 7 dots studio - Dreamscape stickers. Finally adding some of the Peiskos Design Reinforcements. I do love those little guys.

So, I did promise right at the very start of this post another house. I did start this for January but then.. well... time and stuff happened. But now it is finished.

The inspiration for January revolved around the Lucky Findings Foundation - Aliferous collection

LOVE this collection, love the butterflies/wings, the colours, the oval frame - so yep, I feel there will be more to come from this collection....

I'm not going to bore you with all the details of how this came together. just know that there were LAYERS... then the transparency (LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE) and then bits and pieces.

Ok so I will add some close ups.

If you would like some more details on some of the products from this one, please let me know.

Thanks for visiting everyone.
hope you enjoyed those couple of projects.
PS I did do some shopping but got sidetracked and didn't check out!!!! yep, I have now though.

Live with Respect.

Aiming 4 world domination by Tracey B

 Good morning everyone

Don't you just love this month's Moodboard affirmation?

This layout is all about flamingoes which are a long, long, long running joke in our house ever since Paddy's first job as a mech involved tossing inflatable flamingos onto the stage.  Any opportunity for gift giving and you can bet a flamingo is involved - much to Paddy's disgust!

It's even spread outside the family with my friend Kaz proving these photos.   Once you start looking, you'll surprised how many are out there - they're everywhere man!

I started this page with some of the papers and washi from the Peiskos Foundation pack and then added some impasto paste through a circle stencil.  I used clear impasto but there are some great coloured ones in the shop

I added some colour using Distress Ink and Oxide (Picked Raspberry, Abandoned Coral, Tattered Rose and of course Kitsch Flamingo) using the smooshing technique.

For a little contract I added some black Cadence Relief paste through a stencil and black alphas and finished off with a few embellishments including
Jillibean Soup stickers
Mambi stickers (On sale now!)
and a

Here's a couple of close ups and the finished page

'Be AmAzing' by Emma Zappone

Hello everyone, Em with you all today.
How good are these Mood Affirmation boards!! And it's great to be able to use the Lucky Findings 'Peiskos' range this month. I love the layers and depth that Kylie has created in this collection. And I LOVE that it has pushed me out of my comfort zone using colours I would never use or put together. Oh and I have a short video too 😉

Let's check out the Affirmation board too....

Look at all that richness!
The colour in the flowers of the washi sheet included in this pack are what inspired the colour. they are a little brighter than in the board but it showcases another substrate in these packs. I chose acrylic paints from Art By Marlene and Dylusions to match. I also embraced my dear friend Tammy while creating this page, her use of colour and paint are amazing.
I have popped a full product list down below.

Come see it all be put together in my video here...

I hope to see your creations this month using the amazing affirmation board. 🤗

Catch you all again soon, Em xx
