Hi All

Take a look at the Halloween layout from our wonderful Ebony!!!

In this layout Eb has used the following products from the shop Black Raven cardstock, White, black and gold Posca pens, White and Black Aquarelle pencils, staples and book paper!

Next is Eb's interpretaion of the October Moodboard : she took her inspiration from the paint pots to use paint, the colours and the font.
Eb used the following products from the wonderful Scrappingclearly shop : Black and White Aquarelle pencils, Black Gelato, Archival Ink.

Eb's tip: she used pieces of her art cut up - cut any pages of your art journal or discarded scrapping background into circles or other shapes and use as accents on your pages!

Collect moments - by Chloe

Good morning :) How is everyone this fine Monday?  I am sharing another page I created with the stunning Kaisercraft BoHo Dreams collectionTHIS PAPER was simply stunning and was begging to be fussy cut (and coming from someone who RARELY fussy cuts, that's really saying something! ha!)

So, fussy cut I did, and came up with this page:

I was debating if I should turn my photo into black and white, but the colour of my daughter's jacket went perfectly with the colours of the flowers!

Layering up the cut flowers with doilies and stickers makes lots of pretty layers :)

Other products used:
Kaisercraft – Boho Dreams Collection – 12 x 12 Double Sided Paper – Bohemian
Kaisercraft – Boho Dreams Collection – 12 x 12 Sticker Sheet
Heidi Swapp Wanderlust – Dream Wood Veneer
Heidi Swapp Shaped Paper Clips
Cocoa Vanilla Studio Hello Lovely – Flair Pack

Thanks for visiting the blog today :)

Live Colourfully with Amy Prior

Hi everyone! Amy Prior back with you all again today with a quick tutorial on how i created this fun and colourful layout titled "Live Colourfully". Ok so the word Colourfully is spelt wrong because it is an American branded product used but I bet you didn't really notice at first glance anyway so we will just run with that LOL.

Creating the background for this layout was fairly simple. All you need to do is follow these quick and easy steps...

Step 1: Spread some Dina Wakley White Gesso over the top of  The Crafter's Workshop 12x12 Sweet Posey Stencil using a palette knife or a credit card. As you can see, I have first placed the stencil on one side of my 12x12 Bazzil Cardshoppe Marshmallow heavy weight card-stock followed by the other part of the stencil for the other side. Be sure to have a much smaller side and a larger side to get this fun effect. The larger side will be the side you place your photo also so if you want to recreate this layout but in reverse, be sure to place the larger part of the stencilled image on the right side instead. Paint a couple of different sized circle chipboard frames with the Gesso also and put them aside to allow to dry.

Step 2: Dry the Gesso completely using a heat tool if required, or simply let the Gesso dry completely overnight etc. The drying time will depend on how thick you have scraped the gesso through the stencil. When scraping anything through any stencil, be sure to scrape off any excess before removing the stencil to avoid long drying times.
Step 3: When the gesso is completely dry, spray some Colour Blast Shimmer Spray over the pattern randomly in colours Sunshine, Rose Petal and Singin' the Blues. Do not add any water and ensure you spray really close to the card-stock to avoid too much over-spray occurring. Pink, blue and yellow mixed together will create a brown colour which you will want to avoid for this layout as there is no brown in the papers etc.

Step 4: If the chipboard circles are not yet dry, blast them with a heat tool and ensure they are dry completely. When completely dry, spray the entire surface with some Colour Blast Snow White Shimmer Spray and set aside to dry.

Step 5: Spray some white paper flowers and some Heidi Swapp - September Skies - Color Magic Die Cuts with some Colour Blast - Shimmer Spray - SunshineColour Blast - Shimmer Spray - Singin' the BluesColour Blast - Shimmer Spray - Rose PetalColour Blast - Shimmer Spray - Apple of my Eye. You can then leave these to dry naturally or give them a quick zap with the heat tool. If you plan on using your heat tool, use some double sided tape to stick your die cut pieces to a craft mat before you spray them. This will ensure that they stay still when you blow the heat tool over the top.

Step 6: Begin layering small square and rectangle pieces of Dear Lizzy - Happy Place - Patterned Papers around the photograph and include a doily as well. If your background is completely dry, this bundle of happiness can then be adhered to the background but ensure you use some good quality adhesive as the bumpy gessoed background will not be good for standard double-sided tape. I use a hot glue gun but any good quality glue would suffice. If you are using the clip from the Heidi Swapp - September Skies - Attachment Kit to adhere the Dear Lizzy - Happy Place - Decorative Brads to the photograph, then I recommend clipping this on before you add your paper layers as I forgot and had to peel back the double sided tape a little to tuck him underneath.

Step 7: Stick down the completely dry circle chipboard frames over the top of the photograph and to the side of the layout. If the circle overlaps the edge like mine did, simply trim off any excess with some scissors. Try not to cut off the excess until your glue has dried otherwise you may move the chipboard a little.

Step 8: The final step is to finish off embellishing the layout. Adhere some flowers on both of the circle frames and then stick the various die cut pieces that you have chosen randomly around the page wherever you fancy. I have also drawn around the edges of the die cut phrase a couple of times with a Ranger White Opaque Pen to ensure that the title stood out a little bit more on top of the layers.

Here is a complete list of products that were used for this layout...

Well that is it from me today, I hope I have inspired you to get creative with all these fantastic products from the Scrapping Clearly store and until next time, happy scrapping!

Circle Journal Update

Howdy Folks, Lisa here with a late Friday blog update .
I am retreating in the beautiful Hunter Valley ,relaxing and getting arty.
Today's update is a quick look at 2 circle journals I have completed for the
Scrapping Clearly circle journal swap.
Every theme is different , so it really opens up your creative ideas,
and allows you to think outside the box.

This piece was my contribution to a MERMAID journal.
For this piece I downloaded the mermaid from Mischief Circus (actually Kim did -Long Story)
and snipped her out.
For the background I used 3 different cool paint colours, then sponged some black paint through a seaweed like stencil-Drying time .
the Sunray stencil is one I had created and cut myself  from the TCW blanks
I used Lime and Lemon Dylusions paints to add colour to the rays .
After drying I adhered the mermaid with Matt Medium and allowed her to dry .
To add some detail to this piece I added some Prima Glass Glitter in Platinum, to the edge of the rays , and within her crown. I also added some dimension with cerne relief paste in bronze and black.
This next piece,is from the feathers and free spirit.
Surprise surprise, I have created a Dream catcher.
Combining home made and manufactured elements from the latest
Kinder Kreations gold range of chipboard pieces.
A simple Liqiutex  painted background, a colour blast textured mandala top piece. hand cut paper leaves from premade colourful background pages plus the sparkle of the KK leaves and mandala then the flicky house paint make this piece truly glorious.
Check it

Thanks for dropping by , see you next week ,
when I hope to be a little more organized .

Cards from tags with Melinda

Hi there scrappy friends, Melinda here with you today sharing some really cute cards that I made using mostly the WRMK Crush range.

I was totally inspired to create a little stack of cards when I saw these adorable layered tags in my DT pack from Kylie and couldn't wait to get them out and used!

Here are the 5 cards I created in 2 photo's :)

Just secretly these 2 are my faves ;) Isn't that little hedgehog just ADORABLE?!

I'm super pleased with how these all came together and now I will give you a quick run down of each card :)

Before I do that however I will say that I started with the tags and the 6x6 paper pad. I started out by matching the tags with a patterned paper from the pad and then cut each 6x6 page down to the size of a card front :)

This first one is a pretty simple design but I really do like how it came together with just a few bits and pieces. So, after the tag and the paper I picked that gem sticker from the WRMK Crush sticker sheet and these Heidi Swapp alpha's for a sentiment. Those alpha's from bright also came from the sticker sheet in the same collection. Oh, and a few Studio Calico sequins from the Red and Pink mix ;)

I would be lying if I said I really understood the trend of the cactus in scrapbooking but oh man, this little guy had me the second I opened up the sticker sheet!! I LOVE it!!. As you can see peeking out in the background is some washi tape also by Heidi Swapp. This is from the Marquee collection and is really wide so I just used one strip which I tore through the middle for the uneven edges along top and bottom. A couple of banners from the off cuts of the 6x6 paper pad, some of this gorgeous Heidi Swapp lace ribbon, the tag (of course!), the cactus and the "hello fabulous" sticker from this Heidi Swapp chipboard sticker pack. This was actually a speech bubble but I didn't like the little taggy bit so I simply chopped it off!! And, a few sequins, of course ;)

Ah!! Isn't he just ADORABLE??! Sending you Hedgehugs, I mean seriously, how cute can you get?! So this card is using mostly scraps as the layers behind the tag - and I mean scraps - none of those pieces actually stretches all the way behind that tag!! That gold tissue paper is what Kylie wrapped my beautiful goodies in this  month so I thought, heck, Im gonna add some in and machine stitch through it! And add some sequins ;)

This is a really quick and simple one! More of that tissue paper which I cut into rectangles, 3 to be exact; I layered them in a messy, interesting way and attached them together with my tiny attacher. I attached that layer to my tag and then that whole piece using foam adhesive to the card front over the top of more of that super pretty Lace Ribbon. I felt it was lacking a little something so I grabbed my black pen and did a quick doodled outline around the card front. So effective! And more sequins!!

And, last but by no means least, this little beauty! With all of this busy patterns I decided straight away that it needed black outlining on all the pieces and it made so much difference! So, more paper scraps, a tab sticker, lace ribbon,  one of these gorgeous WRMK Crush paper clips and yet more sequins. I figured that leaving that tab blank would give me the opportunity to personalise the card when the time comes to send it if I feel like it or I can just leave blank, either way, I love this card too!!

So, I made 5 cards from a very "love" themed Valentine's collection and none of them really scream I LOVE YOU or Happy Valentine's Day, in fact I think they are all quiet versatile. Yep, a little feminine, I can't see me giving these to the men in my life but that's 5 cards for my stash none the less!!

I hope that you feel inspired to use the products however they speak to you. I saw the layered tags and knew straight away they were destined for cards so ran with that idea. And just because a collection is geared towards a particular theme doesn't mean it has to be used for that theme :) Have fun with your products and make sure you head over to our FB group here to see all the inspiration from not only our DT but also from all of our awesome followers who share their work there!!

Happy scrapping and until next time,
Melinda

Cute by Lauren Hender

Hi Everyone!!

I'm back for my second blog post for the day and at this point you might be saying.. what scrapbooking collection has she used to create this layout..

Well this pretty layout is the Crate Paper Gather Collection the very same collection that I used to create the layout of my son on the blog earlier.

Only recently I realised that my beautiful husband and I don't have many photos together. We are always taking photos of each other and of the kids but never us together. Once I realised this I missed all the special moments that we could have documented and remembered together. I'm on it now and my selfie arm is ready to roll lol.

Here are the links to this beautiful collection so you to can create this layout:

I loved using lots of the tags out of the ephemera kit to help build all the layers.

Hope you all have enjoyed the two layouts I have shared with you today.

Always Loved by Lauren Hender

Today, I'm lucky enough to take over the Scrapping Clearly blog twice today to share two beautiful layouts using the stunning Crate Paper - Gather Collection. So make sure you pop back later today to check out the second inspiring layout.

When I first looked at this range I thought girl girl girl.. until I had a closer look. The beautiful subtle tones and gorgeous maple leaves are really perfect for our boys.

This is my handsome step son Reece. Now 16 but in this photo a super cute 12 years old.

Here are the links to this beautiful collection so you to can create this layout:

All these products will enable you to create the second layout I will be sharing later today!

These cute little polaroid frames are cut out of a page in the 6x6 paper pad, and the maple leaves are found in the ephemera pack.

Don't forget to journal.. remembering some of the details is important ... oh hang on I haven't written Reece's age or the date this photo was taken oops. I don't want to forget and I know with my busy life things and moments can be easily forgotten.

Isn't he handsome!

Hope my layout has inspired you to create with this beautiful range.

Favourite Photo layout by Tania

Hi lovely Scrappingclearly peeps, I'm here with you today, sharing a layout, using the gorgeous '365' range by Chickaniddy!!! (I love these products!)

I've used 4 of the papers: Measured Memories, The Good Life, (my background page), Daily Schedule and Smell the Roses! There are some great cut outs in the Daily Schedule paper, of which I used quite a few!
I wanted to throw in just a touch of yellow to match the flower centres in the bottom corner, so I flicked a little Dylusions spray ink in Pure Sunshine near my cluster and below the photo! I also added a slight touch of pink watercolour, with a gelato!

I absolutely love the puffy, camera stickers from Mambi! There's a few little wood veneers from Studio Calico on there, and that lovely 'Wonderful' wood veneer, word is from Teresa Collins! I have journaled on the memo card at top, and tucked behind my photo!
Hope you can take a look at the Chickaniddy range, it is really lovely! Great for Project Life Scrapping too! Don't forget there is still time to play along with the Sketch and Moodboard challenges this month, would love to see what you come up with, and don't forget we are now asking that you upload your entries via the Facebook community page only!

Caran d'Arche Neocolor

Hi Kim again today I am sharing with the awesome Caran d'Arche Neocolor Wax Crayons
You don't usually think of wax and water mixing together, but these do and they can be applied in a variety of methods.
As you might expect from Caran d'Ache, these are high-quality and have great pigments.

So lets watch a video on how easy it is to use theses versatile crayons.

Heidi Swapp Clip Board

Hiya Artsy Peeps
Hope you are all finding some creative time in your busy lives.

I was blessed to get one of these in a recent box of goodies from Scrapping Clearly, it now has pride of place on my desk where I use it to display current pics that I want to scrap.
If you're quick you can get one on special in the shop before they sell out.
Here's what I did with it, pretty, eh?!
I covered all the wood using these colours of Dylusions ink sprays, letting it soak in
and reapplying where I wanted more colour.
I stamped Archival ink around the edge using bubble wrap.

After I finally got the promo sticker off the pretty floral transparency I covered the still gluey patch with a bit of black card, a paper clip, heart sticker, and sentiment sticker mounted on white card and foam tape. I inked around the edge with a Copic marker, and also inked the edges of the stand with my Archival inkpad. I then stuck the transparency to the backboard.

I painted the back of the board with chalkboard paint so I could write photo details on it.
It's pretty cool if I do say so myself.

So have you joined in our monthly challenges yet? This is the last month of the special prize competition for participating for 3 months in a row.
You can find all the details here on our Facebook page.

Thanks for dropping by
see you next time
