SHE IS YOU

A new month means a whole new lot of inspiration from the moodboard and what a cracker it is ... one of my favourite things are crowns... so it was time for me to dig out a pic with the girlchild sporting one .... and it has given me reason to get her excited for a new and updated photoshoot which means more pics for me to play with.

The base of this layout started quite differently... and it was put aside to the 'maybe another day' pile... then I added a little more structure to my creating by popping 5 dots of distress oxide picked raspberry on the page - I used the reinkers for this step then using my small brayer rolled them out before misting the page with water.

I then used a stencil with a heavy amount of Liquitex modelling paste. I worked this over the pink and to the edges of the cardstock. Once dry I drew a rectangle and stitched around this a few times. I measured my photo and allowed for other papers also before stitching.

after this step I used my ALLS pencil to add a little shadowing and depth to the box I had created.

This step is where I decided I didn't like what I had created - it just did not go with the photo and layering I had created... in a moment of despair I decided white gesso will fix this.... I painted the whole thing with white gesso... including the stitching... sometimes you just have to trust that you have no clue in what you are doing and roll with it. I then added some stamping using a Viva Las Vegas stamp. I was super happy the pink and a little of the black pencil leached through .

So after relayering the pic I was finally happy. I have used a Hambly screen print acetate sheet, Pinkfresh Escape the Ordinary tags, Pink Paislee paper - using both sides. I used foam tape on the photo to help lift and give a little more dimension.

I used some Heidi Swapp washi tape in aqua and a pink and music tape in my stash down the left side of the photo and then added the quote down the side.

After adding the quote I added a brad, some bling, a metal spoon, leaves and some wings to the photo to finish. A little more ALLS pencil was added around the box to go over and accentuate it a little more

Thanks for popping in and having a read... I look forward to seeing your creations in the Facebook Photo Album for this months challenge... don't forget it puts in for a chance to win a store voucher.
