My Little Favourite

Hello everyone,

Today I am here to share a layout I created using a photograph of my little great-niece Clancy!
She is such a gorgeous little thing, with big dark eyes and curly black hair, even when her little face is covered in 100's and 1000's.....

For a while now I have been using my Gelli Plate and assorted acrylic paints to make the majority of my backgrounds, I  really love that I can just sit and created for a few hours, just playing with all my acrylic paints which mind you I don't think you ever quite realise just how many awesome colours you have in your stash and of course my stamps and stencil stash, the process is so easy and the each time you achieve an awesome unique print.

This link will show you just how easy it is .......
Gelli Plate Video

I have created this background on White Marshmallow but of course it can be on any colour you like, you can also play with the substrates I love to use tissue paper, vellum and transparency.

The first step was to complete the Gelli Plate process which gives you a start on your very own unique background once the process is complete and you are happy just let it dry.

Once dry I then added some background stamping using back archival ink.

To really make the background bright I used some hot pink acrylic paint and an awesome stencil, I totally love how it turned out. Again allow to dry and the next layer begins.

The fun begins when its time to layer up your photo and embellishment I have placed a black cardstock around my photo of Clancy before packing down I have adhered some black and white scallop tissue paper, some black tissue paper and some Yellow Prima Tulle.
I layered up some assorted paper and fabric flowers some Heidi Swapp fringe and some chipboard.

To finish my layout I have painted a Chipboard Ornate Frame with black paint, I have written my journaling before I adhered it down and adhered my foam title.

The final touches is to machine sew with black thread around the layout, add some washi tape and more tissue paper, to add a little bling I adhered some gold epoxy stickers...

I hope you enjoyed my layout.
