Star Light Star Bright - by Lauren Hender

Hi Everyone and a big Merry Christmas.

I love this time of the year.. all the Christmas lights, the music playing, the kids laughing.

Decorating the house is so important.. it helps to create the MAGIC that is Christmas.

I have decorated with a few fabulous Heidi Swapp collections this year..

First up.. the Heidi Swapp Lightbox

My little Katie loves playing with the lightbox.
Making sure all the letters and icons look just right.

I then played with a Heidi Swapp marquee star with the wood grain marquee tape.
This tape is extraordinary. The wood grain is deep and rich. I can be difficult to photograph so you are just going to have to trust me.

Here are the steps I took to create this little magic star.

Using the template provided I covered the star with the wood grain tape. Be careful not to overlap the tape as it will make that section dark than the rest.

I then punched holes in the marked areas on the template and placed the template into the marquee star. I then used to the tape to tape the outside edges of the star.

I then wired up the back of the marquee...

I then realised that there was instructions included on how to esemble the lights.. handy lol

And there you have it a super cute sparkly woodgrain star.
