Going out with a Bang

Salutations Bloggers , Lisa here with a super late Friday mixed media update,
and sharing with you my last layout for this year 2016 .
Late, because the damn mobile blogger app sucks and wouldn't let me post from my phone, and being in the middle of the city, well I was stuck.
But I am home with a new rebuilt computer to play with(thanks Tom)
and a wifi connection that actually works (thanks Warren)wooohoo. Stoked for me.
--------------------------------------------------------
This layout here celebrates friendship despite distances.
Over the last few years I have been blessed to be able to teach all around the place,
meet the coolest of creatives and enjoy sharing my passion of arty goodness with them.
Last Month I tripped down to Melbourne and lucky for me the half way point is Gundagai.
More importantly it is where the Scrapping Clearly Shop is situated and
where Kylies' beautiful smiling face is there to greet you.
These photos ,taken at breakfast ,are lovingly showcased with glorious SC product.
Here is basically how I put this one together and what I have used .
The start of this layout was a nothing page . I was spraying another page with a stencil and this was the "flip it to use it up " left overs page , that  spritzed the Marshmellow cardstock with water and added a little extra colour to it using Dylusions ink sprays .When the paper was dry, using a stazon black ink pad I stamped a little script stamp, then I dripped a little black and white house paint over the page,Drying again.
And OUT COMES THIS BABY BELOW
Perfect for individualizing you pages with unique journalling.
It was of course on my wish list , but here it is in front of me to play with and use at my leisure.
Big Love to Her .xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Oh Journalling. some struggle , some avoid it completely.
Its essential to each layout, as important as a photo. it can be simple or elaborately detailed.
but its essential ...right Peg.
So I put together some simple words about my feelings for her. and type set my thoughts..
quite therapeutic actually, with each key stroke.

Using a little Teresa Collins Pattern Paper...yep you read that right... pattern paper made it onto my page..because,well, look at it.It is a classic print(an essential if i use PP) and it sparkles silver.Personally I love silver and have always had an anti gold thing happening. some Music sheet tissue paper, muslin and a few embellies this baby came together easily.
Let Me wish you all Blessings a wonderful New Year ahead,
2017 a 1 year people, lets start it fresh. So clear out the old ,stuff you don't need and
bring forth new creative energy to get the next cycle happening.
Thanks also to the loyal blog hoppers who drop by and massive Love to those
leave some words ,just so we actually feel like someone is looking:) We Love You .
Now go Party... I'm off to work.
xxxx
See you in 2017

Cards inspired by the Moodboard! By Tania...

Well hello again! I sure hope you all had a wonderful Christmas celebration wherever you were! I had a very quiet Christmas, and was not well, so lucky for me, we had planned on a quiet one! I have had a little mojo here and there to help me feel better. This time I've made some cards for you, based on inspiration from the colours of this month's moodboard! Which is here:

What a gorgeous moodboard, don't you think? You still have a few days left to play along ;)
So here's my cards, using mainly the Pink Paislee, C'est La Vie collection.

There are also some papers from the Chickaniddy 365 collection.

The C'est La Vie printed acetate is gorgeous! This floral one was perfect for a card front, I backed it with some plain patterned paper.

Don't you love these cute little bows from Maggie Homes & Crate paper? This one made the perfect final addition to the C'est La Vie ephemera.

This card I've made for my daughter's upcoming birthday next month. I finished it off with a gold tag from the ephemera pack and a Heidi Swapp, gold, acetate word.

This one has a touch of Heidi Swapp Wanderlust, lace, and a little Studio Calico wood veneer arrow.

I placed some mounting tape underneath the banner ends to make them pop off the paper.

I made an extra card using up some left overs from a previous Design Team kit, which was the Maggie Holmes Bloom range. I used a stencil from The Crafters Workshop from the Scrappingclearly store, and coloured some texture paste. That gold foil vellum has gone a long way, I just love it!

Well, I hope I've inspired you to give the moodboard a go. If you don't have time to scrapbook, you can always make up a few cards, which will always come in handy!
Till next time!

Sweet Smiles...

Phew... Christmas is over and I'm well and truly over ham, dips and pannacotta... I hope your day was filled with family and love and you got some well deserved down time.... this week between Boxing day and New Years is always like a black hole to me... you never really know what day it is, and you don't really get anything done... I'm fortunate to have some time off and have used it to get into my studio and play with my art supplies...

By now you are probably in Christmas overdose with layouts, December Daily, cards and more cards... so I'm breaking up with the festive season already and giving you a sweet girly page to inspire you.

Ive used the Simple Stories 'So Fancy" and Amy Tangerine 'Stitched' patterned papers with the My Minds Eye 'On trend 2' chipboard elements to create this layout.

I've inked around the edges with some Stazon Ink in Jet Black and my Mini Ink Blending Tool to give it a moody, grungy feel and to tie in with the black and white photo. Im a self confessed wonky photo taker, but the irregular angles of the photo help to draw your eye to each embellishment cluster.

I've added in some Dear Lizzy accents and phrase stickers, as well as some splatters of gold in Heidi Swapp Colour Shine and some gold Nuvo Crystal Drops. Add to it a machine stitched boarder and you have one grungy, girly layout...

I hope you have a safe New Year and I'm looking forward to joining the ladies at Scrapping Clearly for another fabulous year designing and sharing my art with you..

Peace and Love...

Skai

Cheers to a New Year coming!

Happy Holidays!!
It's Boxing Day in Australia today.
I hope everyone has had (or is still having) a fabulous Xmas day.

Since 2016 has been a bit of a crappy year I scrapped this page to celebrate one of the few good times. AND it was a great time!

The story explains it all, I typed it up on my new WeRMK typewriter, it's awesome! I LOVE that it will type across a full 12 x 12 page and there are so many gorgeous accessories! There are still a few in the shop, Mint, Pink, or White, but you'd better be quick because they fly off the shelves. Here I used 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock and hand cut the strips, taking up the space around my foam word.

I made a background on Marshmallow card using a TCW stencil with a Kaisercraft stamp and archival ink (so it wouldn't run when I wet it). Then I coloured it up with some Funky Fuschia and Cut Grass Dylusions sprays.

I layered up my photos on some black and white patterned papers I had lying around then added paperclips, a flair, and a chippy title (I coloured over the 'fun' with a Posca pen to make it stand out).

I embellished with a Kaisercraft flower and chippy stickers, the camera is from the same pack as my chippy title.

I added a couple of phrase stickers to my pics and used some freebie Doc Marten stickers from the local surf shop - bargain!

Thanks for taking time out to drop in.
See y'all next year!

MERRY CHRISTMAS SANTA & Merry Christmas everyone from Tania

A huge Merry Christmas to all our lovely Scrappingclearly Community!!! Hope your day is going to be full of cheer and excitment, and of course, lots of yummy food!!! I am here with you today, with a Christmas layout (of course!) I'm using the delightful Heidi Swapp Christmas range- OH WHAT FUN. My layout is also based on this month's sketch! Here it is in case you've missed it!

I had thought about documenting a pic. of my son, as today, we also celebrate his birthday! I'm thinking I will have plenty more photos to scrap with this lovely range of papers and ephemera.
In the close up above, the holly you see, has been fussy cut from the 12x 12" patterned paper pad. The cute little candy cane & arrows, are stickers from the Heidi Swapp clear decorative sticker book.
The title stickers are also from the sticker pack.
I have used some of the 'Oh what fun' vellum sheets as part of the layering behind my photo, and the smaller banners. The vellum pad is a great size, very handy for photo matts.

For my journaling, I typed in red from the computer and printed it out, then added some chalk ink to the edges. I love this way of journaling on my page, it keeps everything neat!

Here is the finished layout!

I can't believe that little girl sitting on Santa's lap is almost 14 yrs old. So glad to document the memories!!!
I hope you can find some time to play along with our challenges this month. There's still time after the Christmas festivities! (Upload to our facebook page for a chance to win a great prize!)
If you would like to see more of the gorgeous Heidi Swapp Oh what Fun range, take a look HERE.
See you next time!

Documenting Christmas Cover Page - With Karyn Schultz!

Hi Scrapping Clearly Lovelies!!!

Merry Christmas everyone!! Only 1 more sleep! Are you all as excited as I am??

It's Karyn here and today I'm showing you the cover page of my Documenting Christmas Project Life Album. I know I'm very late in starting this album, but better late than never!!

I've used lots of Christmas products all available in the  Scrapping Clearly Store.
I've used the Heidi Swapp "Christmas" Project life kit as the foundation for my cover. This kit contains lots of acetate overlays and fun wood veneer. I've also used Teresa Collins "Candy Lane" chipboard elements  to add dimension to my page.
I added some of my signature paint splattering on some white cards. This time I used Prima Watercolor confections - shimmering lights. These paints are amazing - you absolutely must buy some (or maybe even all of the colour collections!).
I created a sequin pocket using my Fuse.
White card, gold paint splats and an acetate overlay - perfect :)
Scrapping Clearly products I've used include

Heidi Swapp "Christmas" Project life kit
Teresa Collins "Candy Lane" chipboard elements
Teresa Collins "Candy Lane" washi tape
Teresa Collins "Something Wonderful" sequins
Becky Higgins project life pocket pages design Y
Becky Higgins - white project life cards
Prima Watercolor confections - shimmering lights
WRMK Fuse
