I lost my mojo after Christmas but have done some layouts now...my tip is to spend a bit of time getting papers organized with photos and I also have just relaxed watching a few videos on mixed media and getting some sketches.

ReplyDeleteSometimes the easiest way to get creative is simply just start. Use one manufacturers range so everything is coordinated and you won't need to overthink matching it all - use sketches to get you going.
ReplyDeletePour a wine or make a tea or coffee, Tidy my desk, sharpen my pencils, scrap lift on of your own LOs, slap some paint on a journal page who knows where it goes doodle over it with your sharpened pencils.. make a card pour another drink coffee tea wine .. stamp over your doodles .. bit more paint, by now it’s nearly done & you’ve created.. celebrate .. most of all have fun cheers 🦋

DeleteKylie, your photos are going to match the moodboard so well once you get into it.
ReplyDeleteFor me, if my mojo goes awol, I will go back to some of my fave layouts I've created, and use them as inspiration. It always works, because if you like your work, it will reinspire to create again.
My mojo has completely gone! I am hoping to find it soon. Thanks for the tips.
ReplyDeleteFabulous post
ReplyDeleteI print a bunch of photos, or pull out a pack of older ones. I am motivated by challenges, and I love seeing how different designers interpret the same challenge. That usually gets my mind ticking over and sets me off along a creative path. Once I'm on a path (any path!) I'm all good, even if I end up backtracking or heading off in a totally different direction. I'm with Annette too - I find wine and/or coffee is an excellent helper :)
