Hi everyone and Welcome to November!!!!!!
This months moodboard is a real fun one. Using shades of pinks and reds together it screamed flamingo to me.
In years gone past pink and red would never have been seen together, but I love that that rule no longer applies, cos I think they look awesome together.
Super fun board hey?
If you have been following my blog posts of late, I mentioned a lull in my creativity, but since it has sort of come back I have really been loving creating with layers and textures.
this layout has quite a bit of dimension.
Once my background Prima was dried I began to apply my colours by using Distress Oxides.
I only kept it to 3 colours of the Oxides including a Smokey Grey.
Then I began to stamp onto my background.
Then using some torn sheets of paper from a couple of the 6x6 Heidi Swapp paper pads I began my layers.
also building with the gauze fabric.
But my fave elements on this page are the Finnabair Metal hearts and pink fresh heart embellies.
I fussy cut the couple of the flamingo birds from a Heidi Swapp card. Again building with texture behind the birds.
I completed it all with some comments from the Tim Holtz sticker collection and a few pencil scribble marks around the quotes and hearts.
I loved how quick this page came together, and I feel its because I had such inspiration from the moodboard.
I'm really looking forward to seeing what you all come up with this month too.
Till I next say hi, scrap on, Em. xx
