Fight Fears - With Emma

Hi SC friends!
Can't believe it's the pointy end of April, Crazy!
Today I have a layout I hope will inspire a little end of month creativity for you all.

I kept my background work very easy and simple. Firstly I started by applying Modelling Paste through a stencil allowing to dry naturally.

Then I went in with my stamps. I used a Face from Dina Wakley's interesting faces collection and a script stamp I have.

Then I proceeded to create my layers under my image. I used a few tags from in my stash but also created tags from Ella & Viv papers to bring out some of the colours in the photo, I also tore a couple of pieces and tucked these into my layers also.

In amongst these I tucked in Some Pink Fresh Fabric dies from the 'escape the ordinary' range, little arrows and tags poking out from the layers, creating visual interest.

The metals (1 from Tim Holtz and the other Finnabair) I painted in black Gesso and then rubbed Prima Wax over them, love the metallic sheen this creates. I also applied this technique to my chippy.

Finally a few Tim Holtz small talk stickers and a few flicks of Distress Oxide in Broken China this page was complete.

A great way to use up left overs in your stash and play with new items too.
You have until midnight tonight to join in this months moodboard challenge, so if you can we would love to see your creations.

I'll catch you all on the Scrap side very soon, till then, Happy Scrapping!

Lest we forget

Anzac Day

I thought I had better do last years photo's before I get my new ones.

I have used all New release KinderKreations chipboard and template. Ask Kylie about any you are interested in.

I used Light and fluffy through the Poppy template and let dry.
I then took acrylic paint in yellow and orange, watered it down and tapped on with a paint brush.
I painted the title "Lest we forget" in black acrylic paint and the chipboard poppy, that comes with the title, orange.
I added some embroidery cotton in matching colours and some paper flowers to finish off.

Hope you  enjoy scrapping your Anzac memories.

Last Day Easter Cyber Crop creating

Good morning to you all. I hope you have had fun with the Easter Cyber Crop over the past week. I thought I would share two of my little projects I worked on over the week - Challenge 1 (feathers) & Challenge 2 (purple) from the Cyber Crop. For this project I decided to do  the Heidi Swapp Memorydex cards.

I tend to do groups of four when I prep my cards as I never know if I get a good run with my time management and if my mojo is flowing I like to just be prepared with the prep side of things. Each card was given a base coat of colour.  In order of the photo I have used -Prima Art Alchemy Acrylic Paint Sparks  in 'Iris Potion', Prima Art Alchemy Acrylic Paint Sparks ' Butterfly Spells', Dylusions Ink Spray 'Polished Jade' and Prima Art Alchemy Acrylic Paint Metallique 'Pink Blush'.

Challenge 1  - I applied the paint with a stick to leave a nice texture on the card. This is an amazing paint, lovely and glossy and shimmery. I then prepped an acrylic bird I had in my stash by painting it with Vicki Boutin black paint & using a bird stencil.

I used  some more Prima Art Alchemy Acrylic Paint Sparks ' Ginger Magic' through another stencil and then used a small feather stamp on the card with Archival black ink.

I did a little stamping on the edges with Tim Holtz stamp and then stapled the acrylic bird on to the card. I finished the card off with a little ALLS pencil and a little water.
.

Challenge 2 - I stamped on the card once the ink dried. I then used my Dina Wakley Scribble sticks to paint the purple on the leggings. As well as the purple I have added a rich blue Scribble stick around the edges.

I then stamped with Archival black ink and a Viva Las Vegas stamp. I used  Prima Art Alchemy Acrylic Paint Sparks 'Light Patina'  just under her leg to help define where I will be stamping my quote.

I sewed a little organza ribbon to make a skirt, then added the stamping using a Stampers Anonymous stamp. A few cross hatch stitches were sewn on using cotton thread.

I have also used black gesso at the base of the card with the TCW stencil 'Ocean window '. Finally I added a little metal embellishment and went around the card with an ALLS pencil and a little water.

I hope you have enjoyed the Easter Cyber Crop for 2019. I have thoroughly enjoyed the crop and there are a lot of fabulous entries coming in to the Facebook Album. You still have a few hours to get your entries in for the Cyber Crop so keep on creating.

Plus don't forget the Moodboard challenge - all that luscious green.... we only have four days left including today for this one so lots can still be created with the weekend ahead of us. Until next time ...

Easter Cybercrop - With Karyn Schultz!

Happy ANZAC Day Scrapping Clearly Lovelies!!

It's Karyn here, and today I have an art journal page to share with you made using lots of goodies available in the Scrapping Clearly Store.

This page is inspired by the Scrapping Clearly Easter Cybercrop Challenge 3 - Autumn Colours! We would love for you to join the cybercrop and be in the running to win fabulous prizes - you have until Friday April 26 and you enter by uploading your photo to the album in the facebook group here.

I'm using a Small Dylusions journal. I added some background colour using Prima Watercolor Confections and a painting with plastic technique. Then I added some stencilling using TCW black modelling paste. Next I added some background stamping.

I stamped some Dina Wakley Good Idea stamps onto watercolour paper using black Archival ink then painted them with Prima Watercolor Confections. These flowers were fussy cut and added to the page. I also stamped, painted and fussy cut some rabbits to give an Easter theme.

Here are some close-ups of my finished page. I added Tim Holtz small talk stickers and I drew around the edge of the page with a Fude Ball pen.

Thanks so much for stopping by

Kick Back - with Emma.

Well the long weekend just flew past!!!
Did it even happen? Hmmmm…...
Sadly I didn't get a lot of time to be creative, but I did get some time to get a little inky and create this page for you all today.

Oh boy did I get inky! I started off by priming my cardstock with clear gesso.
Then I pulled out lots of my Distress Oxide Reinkers! Wow this was so therapeutic and fun.

I applied a little water to the background first and then 'painted' with a watercolour brush the oxides. Layering, dotting and blending the colours together.
I had applied my remaining Tim Holtz Remnant Rubs before I started this procedure, and I just love how they resist the inks so they stay prominent.

Behind my photo I ripped a couple of different grunge papers from the Ella & Viv range. And I had a left over WRMK frame that I tucked into the layers also.

The flags are from Pink fresh and I loved the texture this gave to the page. They complimented the photo with the denim vibe.

The quotes are the ever favourite Tim Holtz small talk stickers, this time I used ones from the 'snarky' collection.

Lastly I added a few splashes of black Liquitex ink over my photo and page to bring it all together.

That's this little beauty all complete.

Don't forget that we have another awesome Cyber crop happening this week. we would love to see all your creations for these awesome challenges.

I'll see you again next week.
Happy Scrapping, Em xx
