Take a Journey into the Unknown....

Does anyone else feel like the the last few weeks of the year just drag on... your tired, exhausted from a busy working year, Christmas shopping and crowds are driving you crazy  and your in desperate need of a holiday...

This layout I've created is dedicated to those last few weeks and my day dreaming about a holidays, open roads and adventures that await...

Ive used the Amy Tangerine 'Map of my heart' for the background. Ive built up some layers using Dina Wakely Gesso, medical gauze and Colour Blast texture paste in Dusty Charcoal through the Tim Holtz stencil.
Add to it some of the Kaisercraft 'Just landed' diecuts, some Heidi Swapp Wood Veneer's and a little Dymo journaling and your page is complete.

Happy travel over this holiday period, may you make memories and have adventures galore.

Lots of artsy love..

Just Perfect!!! My take on this month's Sketch! By Tania

Hi all, I can't believe, I'm back again so soon on the blog! So happy to be here, sharing my take on the sketch this month!!! I have a cute layout of my puppy, who seems to be appearing alot in my pages lately!

I've used the Pink Paislee, Cest La Vie range again this month...swoon!!!

Here's the sketch as a bit of a reminder for you!

I just love those splats in the background, and I had the perfect, Dusty Attic stencil for that. I started with a layer of Gesso where I knew the splats would be, then used some Distress Inks with the stencil. I love the way the Distress Inks come out so crisp through a stencil, no smudging, which can happen with paints and other mediums.

I used some Dylusions spray ink to flick some ink over the stencilled splats, and when dry, began my layers.

Firstly, I wanted to create borders for the top and bottom of the page. I used some of the Cest La Vie papers, and some washi tape with some twine from my stash.

The background layers for my photo began with a doily cut in half, some twine & washi tape, and some of the papers. There's also a banner cut out of the Cest La Vie Acetate, so lovely!

I painted some wood veneers, (Studio Calico), with some Distress Paint, added those in my clusters, with some cute DIY enamel dots. (Ranger, enamel accents.) I loved these when they came in just the black and white, I'm thrilled they now come in so many colours....make sure you check them out in store here:

My title and word sticker are both from Heidi Swapp: Heidi Swapp puffy stickers and September Skies word strips.

My journaling is hidden, as I mostly do, on a little Kaiser journal card from my stash.

Hope you like my layout and process, and I hope it has inspired you. Would love to see you play along with either one of our challenges this month!!!

Tis the Season with Amy Prior

Hi there Scrapping Clearly fans! Amy Prior back with you all again today, this time sharing a fun Christmas page created using the gorgeous new Tis the Season collection by Cocoa Vanilla Studio

To create this simple layout, I have started off by smearing some Colour Blast - Colour Paste - Snow White over the top of a sheet of American Crafts - 12x12 Cardstock - Double Thick using my palette knife very roughly underneath where I knew my layers would go.

Once the Colour Paste was dry, I have then started to layer various pieces of Cocoa Vanilla Studio - Tis the Season Collection - Patterned Papers underneath my photograph ready to mount over the top of the Colour Paste so that I can start embellishing.

The complete product list for this layout includes...

Well that is it from me today, I hope I have inspired you to get creative with these amazing products available from the Scrapping Clearly store, and until next time, happy scrapping!

Snapchat Fun with Melinda - November Mood Board Challenge

Hey there ScrappingClearly fans!! Melinda here with you today sharing a fun page I put together using a combination of supplies from the beautiful kits Kylie has sent me!

Before I go any further though, here is a refresher of this month's mood board - isn't it beautiful!!

I took inspiration from the colours and that blue water coloury paint swatch bit - it reminded me of the ocean! And funnily enough, those beautiful peacock feathers reminded me of mermaid scales so I went straight for the photo I ended up choosing! And here is my take!

I have made a YouTube process video which you can see below on my channel and read on for a few close ups!

I had a lot of fun playing with some Colour Blast goodies in the background! I started with a stencil and some Colour Paste in Singin' The Blues, Bling and Deep Water and a stencil from my stash.

After that was all dry I added some water colour using a big brush and some Envy Colour Shimmer Spray straight from the bottle.

I have used some papers from the WRMK Crush 6x6 paper pad and also this paper from the Shimelle Starshine collection to back the photo. I haven't added a heap of things on top of the mixed media work, I really wanted to be able to see it but I have used some bits from the Shimelle Starshine ephemera pack, the Pink Paislee C'est La Vie stickers and also one of the pieces from the same ephemera pack.

I have used these beautiful gold glitter thickers from the Maggie Holmes Bloom collection for my title and quickly added a little journalling!

My final touches were some staples and some little black glitter hearts and stars from this Heidi Swapp alpha sheet. And of course, a date stamp and a couple of sentiments!

I hope this inspires you to interpret the moodboard in whichever way takes your fancy! You still have a few days to share your own take over in our FB group so make sure you get your entries in for a chance at some great prizes!

Thanks so much for stopping by, until next time!

Happy Memory - Mood Board Challenge

Good Morning Arty Peeps

Peg here today to share my mood board page.
There is still a week to get your entry in, post it here on FB.
Check below for the board.

I found an old pic of my baby girl recently, one she talks about fondly,
so it had to be scrapped. Here's that page...

I created a mixed media background on heavy weight cardstock using...
then Finnabair mica powder mixed with Tim Holtz crazing medium over the whole page.

I used a piece of patterned paper coloured with Dylusions ink spray and a strip of Hambly transparency under the photo and title. The transparency is secured to the left of my page with book binding tape. I love this paper clip from American Crafts too.

I used both pieces of Dusty Attic chipboard to create a border on the right, covering them with gesso first, then Dylusions paint and ink spray and finally, while still wet, Finnabair mica powder for texture and shine.

I managed to drop my black inkpad on my page by accident so to make it look deliberate I did it a few more times along the top and bottom edges.

Using some regular and mini bubble wrap I stamped around the edge of my layout with Dylusions paints. Under the photo is a Prima flower cut in two pieces and a Prima gem sprig. The chippy heart and 'happy' stickers are from this pack, and the wood veneer 'memory' I coloured black with an alcohol marker.

We'd love you to play along too
with this mood board.
And post your project here.

Thanks for coming by today,
see you next time.
Stay arty,

Project Life - With Karyn Schultz!

Hi Scrapping Clearly Lovelies!!!

It's Karyn here and today I'm showing you Week 20 and 21 for my "Schultz Family 2016" Project Life Album.
I've used the Simple Stories "Life in Color" collection  (collection kit, bits and pieces, clear stickers, washi tape, enamel dots)  available in the  Scrapping Clearly Store.
Here is a close up of the LHS. I've included some photos of scrapbooking happy mail and some tickets from a musical we attended.
A card cut from patterned paper can easily be transformed with some stickers and enamel dots - these stickers were in the collection pack (12 sheets of paper and 2 pages of stickers)
I like to cut out all of the cards from the 12x12 pages - some are used for PL pages and others are used for elements on my scrapbook pages. I've added a paper strip, some diecuts and enamel dots to this card.
Here is a close up of the RHS. The photos are of Rachael and Jessica posing for a project of Rachael's.
I love the stickers, diecuts, paper strips and enamel dots in this collection - so many possibilities!
I journalled my activities for the week on diecuts from the pack.

Project Life - With Karyn Schultz!

Hi Scrapping Clearly Lovelies!!!

It's Karyn here and today I'm showing you Week 22 and 23 for my "Schultz Family 2016" Project Life Album.
I've used the Simple Stories "Life in Color" collection  (collection kit, bits and pieces, clear stickers, washi tape, enamel dots)  available in the  Scrapping Clearly Store.

I really love love love this collection!! If you are behind with your Project Life or struggle to keep motivated I'd thoroughly recommend using one of these Simple Stories Collections. Their 12x12 papers have lots of PL shaped cards and all of the embellishments are awesome!!
Here is a close up of the LHS.
I cut this card from one of the 12x12 pages then added a few extra stickers.
The camera card was also cut from one of the pages - this one needed no further embellishment. Some strips of paper a die cut and enamel dots were added to my weekly card. I always love using one of my many roller date stamps for the dates.
Here is a close up of the RHS.
I keep all of my movie tickets for my PL, its a great way to remember what movies you have seen!
More stickers, washi tape and enamel dots on these cards!
