Everything but the kitchen sink Baby!

Morning Peeps,

I love this style of creating I find it relaxing.
I also love putting the puzzle together using all my accumulated finds.

I always start with texture of some kind on the background. With this one I have used 3D gel.

I have used a paint brush for the base of the composition and layered metal, resin and wood elements.
The Prima moulds and paper clay elements are great for this technique too.

The colour is from the Finnabair metallique paints and waxes range. I will be teaching a similiar project at the Art is Life weekend, so you can learn to do your own. I hope to see some of you there it will be fun.

Thanks for looking

Twister - it is all fun and games...

Welcome to the last few days of the Moodboard challenge -- I am so loving these colours.... I am a tad sad that my birthday month is almost at its end - I will need to find a new excuse to party on...

I hope you get an opportunity to have a crack at this moodboard - the colours are amazing to work with .

I used Hello Sunshine from the Cocoa Vanilla range... super fun to work with for this challenge. I have added some contrasting pages from a 6x6 paper pad I had in my stash in teal and aqua shades.

I bordered the printed papers in black with my fudeball. I then used the Kinder Kreations stamps - Snowflake V1 set using distress ink stamp pads to leave soft shadows on the page.

Time to add a little more stamping and the layers  of ephemera

I used a couple of Stampers Anonymous stamps - same stamp in different sizes... and also a spot stamp from the Kaisercraft range.

A good dose of enamel dots helps with layers and texture to the layout too...

I found a quote on the Stampers Anonymous stamps that suited perfect for the layout.

I matted the layout on both white and then black cardstock... totally love that I got to capture my two kiddos playing twister with their cousins...
#familymemories you can never have enough.

I hope you have the most amazing creative weekend - only a couple of days to get your Moodboard entries in and giving yourself a chance to win a store voucher ...

"Wild..."

Hey everyone and a happy Friday to you all!
It's Michelle and I am back with an art Journal page in my fave Journal ATM an Art by Marlene 19x12, love the size and the fact you can take the pages out to work on.
So without anymore blathering here it is:

"WILD....."

I started by laying down some colour using Dina Wakley acrylic paint in Eggplant, Olive, Peacock, and Marine, onto a "Gessoed" page.
I also used white Acrylic paint and wiped away with a baby wipe through a Carabelle Studio Stencil in random places.

The face is a stamp by Dina Wakley "Lovely Women", I stamped on tissue then attached to the page using Gel Medium. Once that was dry I started adding details with a fineliner and a Stabilo Pencil.

I added some watered down paint around the face and blew through a straw to create the spidery "drips".

I stamped with a script stamp (Tim Holtz stamp Entomology), in places with an Archival ink pad in Black, and also an Antler stamp for the fine branch looking details.
I splashed around some Prima Art Alchemy Acrylic Metallic paint in "Gold Rush" and also used the paint on the Antler stamp to add more depth around the face.

The Title and the Bug are both by Tim Holtz,  Entomology, and Worn Text Alpha Stamp. I added highlights to the bug and the title with a Posca Gold Paint Pen.
I then called the page done!

Products Used (all from the Scrapping Clearly Store)

Thanks for joining me today, hope you are making time to play!
Cheers,

Michelle

13Arts Goodness

Morning Peeps,

I got out my beautiful 13 Arts papers and chipboard on the weekend to have a play.
It did involve fussy cutting.
I took the aqua flora page and cut out all the flowers.
Check out the beautiful range in the shop now.

There really is no need for a lot of work with theses papers it is all done for you. Just some chipboard and flowers to finish off.

Thanks for looking

I Like Weird - An Art journal page with Lisa Oxley

Howdy Bloggers, Lisa here with a Scrapping Clearly Mixed Media Blog Update.
Its a workday for me and I wanted to create something simple, but effective.

So loving this Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz stamp and trying to make the most of every stamp. Focus today is on the eye. I am partial to an eye as a focal point.

A quick stamp using Black Staz On ink, on to cardstock.

adhered with TCW Matt Medium
then I used several Dina Wakley Media Paints and Stencils to create the overall look.
then a little finer details with Jane Davenport Paint Over and Finishing Pens(swoon) and my Pental white out correction pen.
The title is from an Art by Marlene sticker set.

Heres a quick askew video to fill you in on the overall layering.

Thanks for dropping by the SC blog today,
I'll be back soon with a new Scrapping Clearly Update.

Best ever

Welcome to another fabulous Saturday everyone and I hope my layout will help you be inspired to grab your 12x12 stencils and fill a page with texture. I have used the moodboard as inspiration for the colour palette and just love these colours for scrapping summery photos.

I started the page using 12x12 white cardstock and used Liquitex Light Modelling paste through my stencil. Once it was dry I used Distress oxide to colour the paste and rubbed off the excess with a wipe. I then used my ALLS pencil and went around the indentations of the stencil. I have also used the ALLs pencil and a little water around the outer edge of the layout. Before adhering the photo I layered a timber veneer chain circle under and some Dina Wakley Washi Tape.

Once the photo was adhered I used some mini ric rac and some Cocoa Vanilla Hello sunshine woodies and Cocoa Vanilla Colour Me Happy enamel dots to help add a little more dimension.

A little stamping was added to the border using the Carabelle Studio stamps by Birgit Koopsen -scribbled leaves. They are just divine and would make amazing cards also. I have coloured every second one using Avery Elle watercolours in Mimosa and Fizz.

The title was added using Cocoa Vanilla Endless Summer wood veneer.

I then added a little more orange to the border using the Avery Elle watercolours and Dylusions squeezed orange.

I hope you all have a fantastic weekend full of colour and creativity.

Live Fully

Hey All!
I am back with another art Journal page, created with loads of goodies from the Scrapping Clearly store.
So without further ado here it is:

"Live Fully"

This is an Art Journal page done in my 8x8 Dylusions Journal. On a "Gessoed" page I used Scribble Sticks to create the circle in various colours from blue/greens to yellow/pink, I then added loads of water to activate the colour and move it around for a smooth blend. I added a little shimmer with Nuvo Mica Mists in Fresh Pear and Nebula Blue.

Once dry, I added the stamped face (on Tissue paper) to the circle with Gel Medium, then used The Crafters Workshop Stencil "Rose Bouquet" and Dina Wakley Acrylic Paint in Fuchsia and Magenta to create some flowers around the face.

Once this was all dry I added details with paint pens, a Stabilo Pencil and more scribble sticks (particularly to the face). I still felt it needed something more so I went a little crazy with the Inkadinkado Cling stamps: "Ferns" to add some foliage to the flowers.

I then stamped the Title with my trusty Alpha stamps from years gone by and I called the page done!

Items used:
Inkadinkado Cling stamps "Ferns"
Gesso
Alpha Stamps
Black Archival stamp pad
Gold, White & Black Paint Pen
Stabilo Pencil

And that is all from me this Friday.....hope I have inspired and you all find a little time in your day this weekend to play!
Till next week!
Michelle.

Colourful Art - With Karyn Schultz!

Hi Scrapping Clearly Lovelies!!

It's Karyn here, and today I have a scrapbook page to share with you made using Nuvo mica mists and the 13 Arts Art Journey collection available in the Scrapping Clearly Store

For my background I've used white cardstock and Nuvo mica mists (violet lustre, nebula blue, fresh pear) - these give so much shimmer! I applied the Mica mists by using a paint brush and painting with plastic technique.

One of the 13 Arts Art Journey papers had lots of elements that I fussy cut to add to my page.

The photo is from a recent scrapbooking retreat I went to. I matted my photo on more of the 13 Arts  Art Journey papers and added some of the fussy cut elements to the top right and bottom left.

I love the words on the element sheet - such a perfect title for my page!

A ScrapFX chipboard bookplate (cut in half) was the perfect addition to this cluster.

The other half of the ScrapFX chipboard bookplate, a Finnabair mechanicals Rustic Knobs and a paper flower completed this embellishment cluster.

Here is the full view of my completed page.

Thanks so much for stopping by
