Mixed Media Art Journal Page

Hi everyone! I am here with my first share for the month.

This time, I have created an Art Journal page, inspired by the gorgeous colours of this month's Moodboard.

Here is my design! ...

And here is the Scrapping Clearly Moodboard that inspired me! ...

I have used the Dina Wakley Media Journal 8" x 10", and have elected to use canvas paper.

To prepare the background, I used a small Ranger Gel press brayer to apply the paint.

From the store, I used the following paints: Dina Wakley Media - Heavy Body Acrylic Paint in Turquoise, Night, Elephant and Ocean.

The blue was a Dylusions paint in Calypso Teal - I love this blue so much!

For the purple, Dylusions Shimmer Spray in Crushed Grape was applied for the hand-drawn mountains.

For the white splatters, I used some white acrylic from my stash. Over at the store, there are similar products.

Once dried, I randomly stamped the background with a permanent Stazon ink in 'Jet Black' using a hexagon stamp.

For this little cluster here, over some hessian and medical gauze from my stash, I tore strips of Dina Wakley Media Collage paper tissue. The outline of the mountains were highlighted with a white Posca Pen.

Finally, I selected a quote that had some meaning for me from Tim Holtz Small Talk.

Thank you for dropping by the Scrapping Clearly Blog today!

Ciao, Amy
