Hi everyone,
here's another couple of layouts inspired by this month's board, similar colours but using different techniques and products.
This LO was inspired by a class I did with Louise Nelson, quite a few years ago now.
I started with a layer of gesso, scraped from the top down with a credit card. I deliberately let it rough and ready so later on the inks would flow in some places and grip in others.
I then scrapped on some crackle paste and when dry, sprayed on the ink and let it run down the page.
I used a baby wipe to smear some of the overspray to the bottom of the page.
I added some stamping and some eyelets and then threaded the wire through the eyelets. I added some more wire winding it around my anchored wire just for some interest.
Products I've used include
Gesso
Viva Facetten Lack - crackling colour white
Wire
Darkroom Door Stamp
Dylusions ink spray (London Blue, Campso Teal & Bubblegum Pink)
Heidi Swapp puffy alpha stickers
Art Alchemy Paint (Metallique Deep Water)
For my next layout although I wanted a similar colour palette I decided to use some Dina Wakley paints as my base. (I didn't gesso first but did go in with a little bit later on)
I started by pencilling in where my bauble/lightglobe circles would be using the pink pencil I just happened to have on my desk.
I then stamped and embossed a few butterflies.
I added my paint, some with a brayer, some with a brush and a little with my finger.
I outlined my circles with a Posca pen then masked them off and did some stamping.
When I removed the mask I added some more stamping.
I punched out some butterflies and stamped more little ones around the page. I mounted my photo and added some cardboard to the back so I could slip the lightglobe transparency underneath.
I then finished with my title and a few embellishments.
Products I've used include
Ranger Emboss It Dabber
Pipe Dream Ink Embossing powder
Dina Wakley acrylic paint (Magenta, Sky, Lemon & Lapis)
Posca 1mm pen black
Butterfly punch
49 & Market Butterflied are free stamp
Scrap FX transparency
Cocoa Vanilla Made of Awesome alpha stickers
Still plenty of time to get an entry in for a chance to win!
cheers
Tracey
