Hello to all the fabulous crafters out there and thank you for popping in.
I've taken two colours from this months moodboard for my project and I have dusted off the Minc for a bit of a shimmer on the layout too. It wasn't what I was planning on with the Minc but I'm happy to take the lucky accident for this one.
I started with a white page and using an old credit card swiped some magenta paint across the page. I have then started to stamp using thick foam stamps but decided against this ... instead I have then stamped fine circle images on the page using Art by Marlene stamps - Mandala Tapestry. I have then sewn a square in readiness for the photo.
I have used a 6 x 6 TCW stencil daisy chain - with some Liquitex modelling paste and have allowed this to dry. I have then added some Minc reactive mist by splattering it in random places on the page. I have used the Heidi Swapp Pink Gold Ombre Reflective Foil through the Minc. I was not expecting it to adhere to the modelling paste but it did - so I got an added bonus with this addition to my page.
The negative to this will make a great addition at a later date to a journal page or another scrap page.
Now it is time to add the layers under the photo. I have used Heidi Swapp Foil Pocket Cards and Vintage Chic Notes. The white frame & scallop is a cutfile I have created. I have used some old Basic Grey undressed chipboard letters to help create the title which were coloured black and the word happy came from some Heidi Swapp chipboard stickers. I have added some fussy cut butterflies and a cute little fabric brad as well as a Prima charm. I have also added Glossy accents to the word me for a nicer finish.
As I layered the stack I have added a little black cotton underneath and added some Tim Holtz elements rub ons and sticker words to help add extra interest and tell the story. My journalling was done on a typewriter and I have added a few diamontes on the page to help finish it all off.
I am loving the shimmer of this Ombre foil
Thanks for dropping by and I hope this has inspired you to dust off your minc to add a little more shimmer to your pages
